This paper proposes a new test generation method. Most of the test generation methods are gate-level based, but our scheme is VHDL based, especially in other word, behavioral-level based. Our test pattern generation method uses software test method. And we generate deterministic test pattern with this method. The purpose of our method is to reduce the time and effort to generate the test patterns for the end-product test of IC.

Channel characteristics-based secret key generation is an effective physical-layer security method. The issues of how to remove the effect of random noise and to balance the key generation rate (KGR) and the bit mismatch rate (BMR) are needed to be addressed. In this paper, to reduce the effect of random noise and extract more secret bits, a new quantization scheme with high key generation rate and low bit mismatch rate is proposed. In our proposed scheme, we try to use all measurements and correct the differences caused by noise at the boundary regions instead of simply dropping them. We evaluate and discuss the improvements of our proposed scheme. The results show that our proposed scheme achieves lower bit mismatch rate as well as remaining high key generation rate.
Pubilc utility industries including the electric utility industry are facing a new stream of privatization com-petition with the private sector and deregulation. The necewssity to solve now and in the future power supply and demand problems has been increasing through the sophisticated generation expansion plan(GEP) approach con-sidering not only KEPCo's supply-side resources but also outside resources such as non-utility generation(NUG) demand-side management (DSM). Under the environmental situation in the current electric utility industry a new approach is needed to acquire multiple resources competitively. This study presents the development of a modified electric generation expansion analysis system(EGEAS) model with avoided cost based on the existing EGEAS model which is a dynamic program to develope an optimal generation expansion plan for the electric utility. We are trying to find optimal GEP in Korea's case using our modified model and observe the difference for the level of reliabilities such as the reserve margin(RM) loss of load probability(LOLP) and expected unserved energy percent(EUEP) between the existing EGEAS model and our model. In addition we are trying to calculate avoided cost for NUG resources which is a criterion to evaluate herem and test possibility of connection calculation of avoided cost with GEP implementation using our modified model. The results of our case study are as follows. First we were able to find that the generation expansion plan and reliability measures were largely influenced by capacity size and loading status of NUG resources, Second we were able to find that avoided cost which are criteria to evaluate NUG resources could be calculated by using our modified EGEAS model with avoided cost. We also note that avoided costs were calculated by our model in connection with generation expansion plans.
The two main purposes of this study were to develop the 'Three Generation Family-Madang Program' and to examine its effects on enhancing family functioning and strengthening family relationships. The 'Three Generation Family-Madang Program' consisted of six sessions, each of which included various types of activities and educational materials to evoke interests of the three-generation family members. Subjects of this study were 21 triples, consisting of mothers and their family members, each for the experimental group and the control group, respectively. Mean, Standard Deviation, MANCOVA, and Discriminant Analysis were carried out for the data analyses. Our results showed that the 'Three Generation Family-Madang Program' was effective in enhancing family adaptability and family relationships. Our program focused on the parent generation to have a better understanding and a more positive perspective toward other family members, which would enhance family functioning and family relationships. Our program also received positive feedback from the grandparent and grandchildren generation participants.

This research paper investigates the effectiveness of using computer graphics(CG) based synthetic data for deep learning in military vehicle detection. In particular, we explore the use of synthetic image generation techniques to train deep neural networks for object detection tasks. Our approach involves the generation of a large dataset of synthetic images of military vehicles, which is then used to train a deep learning model. The resulting model is then evaluated on real-world images to measure its effectiveness. Our experimental results show that synthetic training data alone can achieve effective results in object detection. Our findings demonstrate the potential of CG-based synthetic data for deep learning and suggest its value as a tool for training models in a variety of applications, including military vehicle detection.
In order to deal with current environmental issues and their backgrounds, further development of current teaching methods and tools are essential. The result of questionnaire performed in this study indicates that the effect and the change of the perception of power generation in Japan after the great disaster of East Japan have caused many students (both high school and college students) to become interested in the energy situation. In the present study, we made an attempt to develop a model instrument of a thermal power plant that can be applied as a teaching tool for understanding of air pollutant forming as well as power generation. Our novel model tool consists of a body (30 cm width, 21 cm depth, and 41 cm height), a combustion chamber, two motors, a boiler, a voltmeter, and a chimney for measurement of exhaust gas. Using our novel hand-made power plant, we carried out some model experiments with learners (i.e. high school and college students). Through model experiments, students can be experienced not only about power generation but also about generation of air pollutants. In order to estimate the applicability of our novel instrument as an educational tool, we carried out the questionnaires before and after model experiments. More than 80% of educatees reported that it was very useful as a teaching tool for energy and environmental education. The results of questionnaires indicated that learners achieved a very deep understanding of the principles of power generation and the forming of air pollutants.
Our society is increasingly dependent on the Internet, and this trend will be accelerating in the ear of All-IP convergence. As the core infrastructure of the All-IP convergence, the next generation Internet should enable end-to-end Quality of Service(e2e QoS). For that purpose, major international standardization institutes such as ITU(International Telecommunication Union) and IETF(Internet Engineering Task Force) are building the concept and architecture of the Next Generation Network(NGN). However, these institutes focus only on technical issues, and leave many business/policy-oriented challenges unresolved. For example, the standards raised by ITU assume that the entire service delivery process for e2e QoS services is perfectly working. But required is a standardized business interface and process for seamless inter-operations across many stakeholders including ISPs(Internet Service Providers), CPs(Content Providers), so on. On the other hand, TMF(TeleManagement Forum) and QuEST(Quality Excellence for Suppliers of Telecommunication) Forum, global consortiums of telecom operators and vendors, present sets of interface rules and process which playa crucial role as de facto standards: for example, NGOSS/eTOM and TL9000 authorization system. However, these standards focus on telephone services, and provide little principle for the next generation Internet. Our study seeks a way to combine these two strains for a successful implementation of NGN. In particular, we find a missing link in the NGN architecture and the elements that could be complemented with the help of NGOSS/eTOM and TL9000. Finally, presented is a strategic direction that our standardization policy should purse in order to reinforce our global leadership for the next generation Internet.
Recently, Increase of energy consumption is continued accordingly because economy is constant growth. so we need long term of energy supply stability and develop new energy source. The effort of environmental improvement is necessary and our country has to educe conservatory gas in these situation, our energy policy is summarized that minimizes energy consumption and uses kinds of energy source. This paper studied some effort of stability that distributed generation put in electric system through line fault, sudden load change. And then this paper calculated penetrated level of distributed generation in system transient stability.
The long propagation delay over satellite internet causes degradation of TCP performance in slow start phase. Especially, web traffic performance is greatly reduced by low throughput in slow start phase. To improve web traffic performance, we propose the Dynamic ACK Generation Scheme which generates ACKs and considers sender RTO in PEP (Performance Enhancing Proxy). The Normal ACK generation mechanism improves TCP throughput, and also decreases sender RTO. if PEP stops generating ACKs, TCP performance will be reduced by frequent RTO expiration. To solve this problem, our scheme adjusts RTO using ACK generation interval. And it supports retransmission mechanism for loss recovery in PEP. The results of the performance analysis provide a good evidence to demonstrate the efficiency of our mechanisms over satellite internet.
