For the current study, five Asian English teachers participated in their case studies to investigate an in-depth understanding of their beliefs about teaching and learning English as a foreign language. Data were collected through structured and unstructured interviews, written documents, observations of teacher-participants' micro teaching, a research methodology journal and a self-reflection journal. This study described the beliefs that Asian English teachers brought to the teacher preparation program and examined to see if these teacher-participants who were involved in case studies perceived change in their beliefs. The study found that formal and informal learning experiences greatly shaped the way teacher-participants' beliefs about the way learning and teaching ought to be. In addition, early experiences of learning and teaching influenced teacher-participants' change in beliefs.

Construction accidents result from a combination of factors, including both the actions of workers and the safety conditions on site. Despite advancements in enhancing construction site safety, there remains a gap in comprehending the cognitive processes underlying workers' unsafe behavior. This paper investigates and validates a qualitative model that delves into the potential causes of workers' unsafe actions by examining their cognitive processes, employing a system dynamics approach. By analyzing the interplay of various loops within this model, it offers both short- and long-term safety strategies for managers intent on minimizing unsafe behavior among workers. Specifically, safety managers should prioritize increasing workers' awareness of hazards through education and fostering a positive safety mindset. Moreover, they should task frontline supervisors with directly addressing and rectifying instances of unsafe behavior by workers. Lastly, construction safety managers ought to formulate safety strategies that take into account the cognitive states of workers to mitigate any adverse consequences of biased safety management. The outcomes of this research contribute to our comprehension of methods to enhance hazard perception among workers, curtail unsafe actions, and ultimately reduce construction accidents from a cognitive standpoint.

Today, knowledge is considered the most strategically important resource. As research in knowledge management advances, it ought to review and categorize the already published literatures on knowledge management in the area of business strategy, accounting/finance, human resource management and management information technology. To identify the knowledge management research trend, we analyze 168 articles published in prominent academic journal during last two decades. This paper develops three stages model for knowledge management research: observation, initiation and evolution stage. Also, we classify the given researches according to the three criteria of contents, related academic area and applied research method.

Government-Supported Research Institutes(GSRI) have done complex product(CP) development with national needs. The products to be developed have very limited demand. The most important things at CP development are technology innovation through knowledge creation and acquisition. Then, this paper suggests the technology innovation system for CP development. In CP development like satellite, government must do strategic management at national level and technology management at program level. Two managements are tools to achieve the strategic goals. The key points in CP are integration and interface among subsystems and person. From these factors and innovation system, R&D planning and practice are based on sharing and creation of knowledge. CP development projects ought to overlap and parallel for sustainable acquisition and creation of knowledge.

This study intends to improve the efficiencies of school works by proposing a method of determining the standard sizes of chairs and desks. To achive this purpose, eight measurements were taken of 1248 school children. The main results drawn from this study are : 1. There are significant correlations between stature and popliteal height and between stature and elbow height (seated). 2. There are significant differences between men and women of similar stature in respect of popliteal height. 3. The standard sizes of chairs and desks ought to be based on the characteristics of human body size and their relationship.

In a newly developed production control system, a safety control ought to be included as a means of ensuring a more rational control system for achieving efficiency. All the programmes must, therefore, be integrated and coordinated by a supervisor.

Concept mapping was used to understand the structure of customer's cafe experience. In January and February, 2009, interviews were conducted with 26 subjects residing in the Seoul-Gyeonggi area. One hundred-two statements describing cafe experience were extracted from the interview transcripts, and were sorted and rated for their importance. Concept mapping software was used to generate a concept map denoting seven dimensions of cafe experience('comfort', 'place of my own', 'pleasant atmosphere', 'personal coffee preference', 'service', 'uniqueness', and 'value'). The results provided meaningful dimensions of cafe customers' experience, which ought to be considered when planning a cafe.

Recently, the electromagnetic proportional valve has been widely used in order to control pressure and flow in such systems as NC machine and automatic facility. The linear electromagnetic solenoid used for proportional control valve ought to have hysteresis characteristic because of control the thrust force proportionably by input current. Therefore, in this study, we analysis the thrust force characteristics and established design for practical use, which allows Linear Pulse Motor(LPM) to be used as a driving system for electromagnetic proportional control valves.

Companies always competing with rivals in global market ought to cope with various kinds of crises coming from substitutes, new technologies, changing consumer tastes, and government regulations, etc. In this sense, it is highly required that companies should always remain well-prepared for crisis management. Nevertheless, many companies still lack detailed and well-guided strategies about how to handle crisis. This study proposes a case study to propose an effective crisis management by using knowledge management. Cases analyzed by this study are concerned with Daewoo International Corporation (http://www.daewoo.com) and Decoline (http://www.decoline.co.kr) where crises have been successfully overcome by using effective knowledge management strategies, and company performance reached sustainable level.
