주기적으로 회전진동하는 원주 후류의 공진특성에 관한 연구 (Lock-on Characteristics of Wake Behind a Rotationally Oscillating Circular Cylinder)

  • Lock-on characteristics of flow around a circular cylinder oscillating rotationally with a relatively high forcing frequency have been investigated experimentally. Dominant governing parameters are Reynolds number (Re), angular amplitude of oscillation (${\theta}_A$), and frequency ratio $F_R=f_f/f_n,\;where\;f_f$ is a forcing frequency and $f_n$ is a natural frequency of vortex shedding. Experiments were carried out under the conditions of $Re=4.14{\times}10^3,\;{\pi}/90{\leq}{\theta_A}{\leq}{\pi}/3,\;and\;F_R=1.0$. The effect of this active flow control technique on the lock-on flow characteristics of the cylinder wake was evaluated with wake velocity measurements and spectral analysis of hot-wire signals. The rotational oscillation modifies the flow structure of near wake significantly. The lock-on phenomenon always occurs at $F_R=1.0$, regardless of the angular amplitude ${\theta}_A$. In addition, when the angular amplitude is less than a certain value, the lock-on characteristics appear only at $F_R=1.0$,. The range of lock-on phenomena expands and vortex formation length is decreased, as the angular amplitude increases. The rotational oscillation create a small-scale vortex structure in the region just near the cylinder surface. At ${\theta}_A=60^{\circ}$, the drag coefficient was reduced about $43.7\%$ at maximum.

  • 본 연구에서는 1.55um의 파장을 갖는 DFB 레이저에서 굴절률 격자와 이득 격자가 동시에 존재할 때, 오른쪽 거울 면에 반사가 일어나지 않도록 유전막 코팅을 하여 𝜌r=0 이 되도록 하였다. 𝛿L>0인 경우일 때, 발진 모드에 대하여, 발진 주파수와 발진 이득의 특성을 해석했다. 좌측 거울면의 격자 위상이 𝜋에서부터 𝜋/2 계속 감소할 때, 각 모드의 그래프 선들이 좌측으로 조금씩 이동한다. 발진 모드의 문턱 이득이 가장 낮은 경우는 𝜅L=10인 경우이고, 이때 모드 선별성은 상대적으로 낮다. 모드 선별성이 우수한 경우는 𝜅L=0.5에서부터 𝜅L=6 정도까지이고, 이 경우 주파수 안정성이 우수하다. 두 개의 벽개면을 갖는 경우와 비교하면, 한 개의 무반사면을 갖는 경우, 발진 모드의 문턱 이득이 증가하지만 모드 선별성은 2배 정도 더 우수해 진다.

  • In this paper, a numerical analysis was conducted on the effect of the flow control valve of a oscillation water column(OWC) type wave power generator turbine. The OWC wave power turbine operates with compressed air in the air chamber according to the change of wave height. When the wave height changes rapidly, a flow control valve is required due to overload of the turbine and reduced efficiency. Therefore, in this paper, a flow control valve with an opening angle of 60 degrees was installed in the front of the turbine, and the pressure drop, torque, and overall performance were calculated according to the change of turbine RPM and flow rate of turbine inlet. In conclusion, the flow control valve with an opening angle of 60 degrees affects when the turbine rotates at low rotation and the inlet flow rate is large. But it does not have a significant effect on overall turbine performance and it is necessary to find the optimal angle in the future works.

  • A control valve with deadband characteristics influences on the control dynamics. A control loop with deadband component shows cyclic control results and causes the wears of mechanical parts. A valve on the important process that require nonstop operation cannot be improved during operation. In case of control loops with deadband dynamics, the optimal control parameters based on the performance only are not sure of the good operation in point of protecting the control component. To improve the control performance and control oscillation, the control parameters should be changed to meet both control qualify and protection of control components.

  • This paper presents the design technique for controlling the oscillation in the Disk Drive Read System via Derivative State Constrained (DSC)-Optimal $H_2$ Controller. The Optimal $H_2$, DSC-Optimal $H_2$ and Incorporating of Stability Degree Specification DSC Optimal $H_2$ are discussed. The results among these schemes are compared to verify the merit of DSC that effectively suppresses the oscillation in oscillatory system. The suggestions of how to select the weights of optimal controls are given.

  • 전력진동(Power Oscillation)은 전력이 0.05 Hz ~ 3.0 Hz의 저주파로 진동하는 현상으로서 계통고장 등의 원인으로 의해 취약한 송전선로에서 발생된다. 전력진동의 종류에는 inter-area mode, intra-area mode, local mode 등이 있는데, 국내 전력계통에서는 향후 영동권 원자력단지와 충남 서해안 화력단지 간을 연결하는 초고압 송전선로에서 intra-area mode의 전력진동이 발생할 가능성이 있다. TCSC를 적용하여 전력진동 제동효과를 얻을 수 있다. 본 논문에서 국내 전력계통에 TCSC를 설치함으로써 전력진동이 효과적으로 감소됨을 보인다. simulation 결과, 전력진동이 5% 수준으로 대폭 감소됨을 알 수 있다.

하이브리드시스템 모델링 기반 발전기 전력시스템 안정화장치 정수선정 기법 (Parameter Selection Method for Power System Stabilizer of a Power Plant based on Hybrid System Modeling)

  • The paper describes the parameter tuning of power system stabilizer (PSS) for a power plant based on hybrid system modeling. The existing tuning method based on bode plot and root locus is well applied to keep power system stable. However, due to linearization of power system and an assumption that the parameter ratio of the lead-lag compensator in PSS is fixed, the results cannot guarantee the optimal performances to damp out low-frequency oscillation. Therefore, in this paper, hybrid system modeling, which has a DAIS (differential-algebraic-impusive-switched) structure, is applied to conduct nonlinear modeling for power system and find optimal parameter set of the PSS. The performances of the proposed method are carried out by time domain simulation with a single machine connected to infinite bus (SMIB) system.

  • The design, fabrication, and measured result of a 4.7 GHz differential VCO (Voltage Controlled Oscillator) for a 5.2 GHz WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) applications is presented. The circuit is designed in a 0.35 mm technology employing three metal layers. The design is based on a fully integrated LC tank using spiral inductors. Measured tuning range is 10% of oscillation frequency with a control voltage from 0 to 3.0 V. Oscillation power of $\square$ 2.3 dBm at 4.63 GHz is measured with 21 mA DC current at 3V supply. The phase noise is $\square$ 104.17 dBc/Hz at 1 MHz offset.
