In this study, a scientific survey on the material of the mother-of-pearl floor mirror was conducted and conservation treatment processes were introduced. The survey results showed that the mother-of-pearl floor mirror in Daejojeon Hall of Changdeokgung is made of Dalbergia spp., and repair work seems to be done later with shorea spp. FT-IR analysis results showed that the varnishing is similar to the spectrum of lacquer. The metal wheels and metal line decorations set with mother-of-pearl were found to be made of brass based on XRF analysis, and the ingredient ratio showed that these were made in modern times. Foreign materials were stuck on the surface of the mother-of-pearl floor mirror before conservation treatment, which was in a structurally unstable condition owing to some missing submaterials. Conservation treatment was conducted on the damaged area to restore the mirror to its original appearance by using the same species of wood determined from the data obtained through the scientific survey.

This study examined the applicability of digital technologies based on three-dimensional(3D) scanning, modeling, and printing to the restoration of damaged artifacts. First, 3D close-range scanning was utilized to make a high-resolution polygon mesh model of a roof-end tile with a missing part, and a 3D virtual restoration of the missing part was conducted using a haptic interface. Furthermore, the virtual restoration model was printed out with a 3D printer using the material extrusion method and a PLA filament. Then, the additive structure of the printed output with a scanning electron microscope was observed and its shape accuracy was analyzed through 3D deviation analysis. It was discovered that the 3D printing output of the missing part has high dimensional accuracy and layer thickness, thus fitting extremely well with the fracture surface of the original roof-end tile. The convergence of digital virtual restoration based on 3D scanning and 3D printing technology has helped in minimizing contact with the artifact and broadening the choice of restoration materials significantly. In the future, if the efficiency of the virtual restoration modeling process is improved and the material stability of the printed output for the purpose of restoration is sufficiently verified, the usability of 3D digital technologies in cultural heritage restoration will increase.

Objective: The aim of this study was to analyze the origin and characteristics of Allii Macrostemi Bulbus. Methods: Bibliographies on Allii Macrostemi Bulbus that focused on the origin of the material were examined. Based on this analysis, an inventory was prepared and the characteristics of the original material are presented. Results: Korean and foreign literature were reviewed to prepare an inventory, and Based on these results, the state of plants either currently cultivated or distributed as medicines, , and are summarized. 1. The origin of Allii Macrostemi Bulbusis the scaly stem of Allii macrozoon Bunge or Allii bakeri Regel. 2. The current white water mark in circulation is the scaly stem of the sandalae Allii macromoleon Bunge. 3. Scilla sinensis(Lour.) Merr. is. 4. The properties of Scilla sinensis(Lour.) Merr. are cool and bitter, healing the forests, mowing the ointment, stopping the oxen, and curing the absence of distractions and stuffy symptoms and removal of the placenta after childbirth. Conclusions: The origin of Allii Macrostemi Bulbusis the scaly stem of Allii macrozoon Bunge or Allii bakeri Regel.

This is a basic study of the two remaining armors (artifacts number K2366, K2368) from the late Joseon dynasty that is part of the Korean costume collection, which is preserved in the Mission Museum of Saint Ottilien in Germany. The armor No. 1 (artifacts number K2366) is a coat-styled armor with brass studs. It has a U-shaped neckline with the non-overlapping collars and sleeve straight-lined inseam. The armor No. 1 has the Mu to the sides and is not back slit. Both its inner and outer material are padded with cotton. Leather mails are attached on the inner lining, and studs are attached on the outer lining to match the leather mails. For this reason, the armor No. 1 can be named MyeonPiGab (brass studded armor consisting of a cotton coat with internal leather mails). The outer material is faded to have the natural white, or antique white look and the patterns on it are indigo blue. The inner material is blue, but the original color is unknown since it is faded. The lotus blossoms and vine patterns are dyed on the surface of the outer material and a name is written on the inner material. The armor No. 1 was worn between the late 17th century and the 19th century. It is estimated that it was worn by military officers who were above the mid-rank in the end of the Joseon dynasty. The armor No. 2 (artifacts number K2368) is a coat-styled armor with brass studs and a low-cut U-shaped neckline. The armor No. 2 has a slit on the left armpit and a string around it. Studs are evenly attached on the armor. The iron mails are attached to the left chest area on its inner lining. It seems that it was designed with both formality and functionality in mind. The outer material is red flannel, the inner material is blue satin and the pads are cheesecloth. The side of its collars, cuffs, front lines, sidelines, back slit, and bottom lines are trimmed with fur. There are armors called "JeonCheolGap (brass studded armor consisting of a felt coat with internal iron mails)," which is similar to the armor No. 2, however, the similarities are limited because they are not made of the same material nor do they follow the same principle of nomenclature.

알루미늄 폐드로스를 이용한 다공성 경량세라믹의 제조조건을 제시함으로서 폐드로스의 요업용 원료로서의 재활용가능성을 살펴보았다. 알루미늄 폐드로스의 전처리 과정으로 4~7번의 수세와 900$^{\circ}%의 배소를 수행하여 수세와 배소 특성을 살펴보았다. 배소 후 드로스는 XRD분석에 의해 스피넬상이 형성되었다. 배소된 폐드로스는 슬러리 상태로 분쇄되었다. 분쇄시 슬러리의 분산성을 확보하여 고농도의 슬러리를 제조하기 위해 분산조제 첨가량에 따른 분산특성을 살펴보았다. 다공체는 슬러리 발포법을 사용하여 제조되었다. 발포조제로 계면활성제가 첨가되었으며 상온에서 자기체적의 2-3배로 발포된 후 성형-건조되었다. 3배 발포시켜 제조된 다공체는 기공율이 약 84%, bulk 밀도는 약 0.59 g/cm$^3$로 측정되었고, 50~500 ${\mu}m$ 크기범위의 기공들이 형성되었다. 화상해석결과 다공체 표면의 평균기공크기는 약 200 ${\mu}m$ 였다. 알루미늄 폐드로스 성형체는 1150$^{\circ}C-1250$^{\circ}C에서 소결되었으며, SEM관찰결과 1200$^{\circ}C에서 소결특성이 양호한 것으로 나타났다.

A weathered residual soil is a soil-like material derived from the in situ weathering and decomposition of rock which has not been transported from its original location. Undisturbed sampling of residual soils is extremely difficult, which has an important effect on investigating the strength and compression characteristics. Thus, a special undisturbed sampling device (direct shear box with shoe) was developed and undisturbed samples were successfully obtained for direct shear tests, Direct shear testing was conducted under unsoaked and soaked condition. As a result, the shear strength of soaked samples was less than that of unsoaked samples, and it was verified that direct shearing of undisturbed samples can evaluate reasonably the shear strength and the slope stability.

The effects of packaging materials on preserving the functional component of pine bud beverage stored under UV (ultraviolet) light exposure conditions were studied. The order of UV light blocking properties of the selected packages was: opaque can> opaque PET (polyethylene terepthalate) with green lamination=transparent PET with 10% PEN (polyethylene naphthalate) blending> transparent PET, and did not depend on film thickness in specified range. At 20${^{\circ}C}$, the order of preserving degree of original color and endobornyl acetate, which is quality index of pine bud beverage, was the same as above. Exposure to UV light can cause of deterioration of functional food components, but green color lamination and blending of PEN materials with transparent PET help to preserve the UV sensitive pine bud beverage components. However, the treated PET bottles have poorer preservation capabilities than the opaque cans. Transparent PET with PEN blending, in particular, will be very useful packaging material for colorful functional beverage preservation by helping to protect the ingredients while attracting consumer attention.

Recently, it has been increasing for the eco-environment plating and surface treatment of eco-environment to decrease hazardous materials. Particular eco-environment can be applied to electronics or automotive parts of industry. In the case of mobile phone, if there were fired, the products bearing dye may be contaminated with the hazardous and wasted. we can obtain the original metal color by electro coloring by metal salt, get rid of hazardous gas, decrease the wasted sludges. Now, the industrial patent number is increasing in Korea, we can accomplish the development of green industry by supporting technical trend of the plating and surface treatment in eco-environment.
