  • This paper is concerned with the precision material property measurement of a micro metal thin foil that is used in MEMS technology. Since these MEMS components require great precision and accuracy, evaluation of reliability such as the lift cycle endurance test, impact test, and residual stress test is necessary for these components. However, in practice, real reliability tests are not easy to perform due to consideration of various factors. Rather than actual testing, it would be much easier to evaluate the reliability of components by the analytical approach. Although the analytical method is utilized by software tools, it is obviously necessary to acquire fundamental properties of materials through real test methods. In this paper, the oriented mechanical properties of aluminum thin foil are measured by nano scale material property measurement system.

GMT-Sheet의 접합에 있어서 기계적 성질에 미치는 성형조건의 영향 (Effect of Molding Condition on Mechanical properties during Joining of GMT-Sheet)

  • The application as the parts of an automobile, using the property of GMT-Sheet, is increasing. In order to exchange the parts of an automobile for GMT-Sheet, at first, the establishment and problem of exact joining strength must be determined. We have studied it using composites which is not same each other fiber oriented condition so as to determine joining strength and joining condition of GMT-Sheet. In this study, the result of experiment of forming condition concerned joining problem of GMT-Sheet is this; joining efficiency of GMT-Sheet, increases as lap joint length L increases. Increase of compression ratio causes decrease of joining efficiency after of GMT-Sheet joining. In the viewpoint of recycling, randomly oriented composite of GMT-Sheet is desirable more than unidirectional oriented composite. We has better design the structure so as not to occur to stress centralization on the joining part.

  • 정보통신기술의 발전으로 과학기술정보의 다양화, 심층화, 고급화 요구가 증대되고 있으며, 미래 지향적 산업을 위한 과학기술정보기반 구축의 필요성이 날로 커지고 있다. 선진국들은 과학기술분야의 문헌데이터베이스 뿐만 아니라 물성데이터베이스도 개발하여 인터넷을 통해 서비스 하고 있다. 국내에서는 문헌데이터베이스의 구축 및 유통은 정착되어 가는 단계이나 물성데이터베이스에 대한 연구는 매우 미흡하다. 따라서 과학기술분야 정보기반 구축을 위해서도 물성데이터베이스 개발 및 연구가 절실히 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 미래 첨단산업분야인 초전도 재료물성 데이터베이스를 개발하였다. 초전도체 산화물의 열적, 기계적 특성 및 초전도 물성 등에 대한 데이터가 제공되며, 서지정보, 물질정보, 물성정보로 나누어 데이터베이스를 설계하였다.

  • The objective of this work was to characterize mechanical properties of thermoplastic composites for various forming condition in compression molding. Randomly oriented long glass fiber reinforced polypropylene(PP) was used in the work. The composite materials contained 20%, 30%, and 40% glass fiber by weight. Compression molding was conducted to make the test specimen. Dimensional stability was measured on each forming condition with the spring-forward angle. Tensile test was conducted to characterize mechanical properties of formed parts in various forming conditions.

Use of uncertain numbers for appraising tensile strength of concrete

  • Splitting tensile strength (STS) is a respectable mechanical property reflecting ability of the concrete. The STS of concrete is mainly related to compressive strength (CS), water/binder (W/B) ratio and concrete age. In this study, the assessment of STS is made by a novel uncertainty-oriented method which uses least square optimization and then predicts STS of concrete by uncertain (fuzzy) numbers. The approximation method addresses a novel integration of fuzzy set theory and multivariate statistics. The numerical examples showed that the method is applicable with relatively limited data. In addition, the prediction of uncertainty at various levels of possibility can be described. In conclusion, the uncertainty-oriented interval analysis can be suggested an effective tool for appraising the uncertainties in concrete technology.

Si 및 SrTiO3 기판 위에 증착된 Bi4Ti3O12 박막의 결정구조 및 배향에 따른 강유전 특성 (Ferroelectric Properties of Bi4Ti3O12 Thin Films Deposited on Si and SrTiO3 Substrates According to Crystal Structure and Orientation)

  • Ferroelectric $Bi_4Ti_3O_{12}$ films were deposited on $SrTiO_3(100)$ and Si(100) substrate by using conductive $SrRuO_3$ films as underlayer, and their ferroelectric and electrical properties were investigated depending on crystal structure and orientation. C-axis oriented $Bi_4Ti_3O_{12}$ films were grown on well lattice-matched pseudo-cubic $SrRuO_3$ films deposited on $SrTiO_3(100)$ substrate, while random-oriented polycrystalline $Bi_4Ti_3O_{12}$ films were grown on $SrRuO_3$ films deposited on Si(100) substrate. The random-oriented polycrystalline film showed a good ferroelectric hysteresis property with remanent polarization ($P_r$) of $9.4{\mu}C/cm^2$ and coercive field ($E_c$) of 84.9 kV/cm, while the c-axis oriented film showed $P_r=0.64{\mu}C/cm^2$ and $E_c=47kV/cm$ in polarizaion vs electric field curve. The c-axis oriented $Bi_4Ti_3O_{12}$ film showed a dielectric constant of about 150 and lower thickness dependence in dielectric constant compared to the random-oriented film. Furthermore, the c-axis oriented $Bi_4Ti_3O_{12}$ film showed leakage current lower than that of the polycrystalline film. The difference of ferroelectric properties in two films was explained from the viewpoint of depolarization effect due to orientation of spontaneous polarization and layered crystal structure of bismuth-base ferroelectric oxide.

  • 본 연구에서는 단순한 구간대신에 구간내에 제한된 형태의 가능성 분포를 갖 는 복합구간으로 학장하는 것이다. 그리고 이러한 가능성 분포는 퍼지 집합이론에서 사용되는 것처럼 일반적인 분포형태 전체를 사용하는 것이 아니라, 가능성 분포의 무 게중심만 정의하고 이 무게중심과 구간경계만을 사용하여 시스템 변수가 갖는 정성값 을 나타낸다. 이를 바탕으로 새로운 상태변화와 그 규칙을 정의함으로써 정성 모델 링과 시뮬레이션을 할 수 있는 정성 수학을 공식화하였다.이와 같은 방식으로 구한 정성 모델과 추론방법으로 기존의 논문에 나와 있는 시뮬레이션 결과와 비교하여 본 논문에서 제시한 정성해의 논리적 건전성(soundness)을 보였다.

상업용 고분자 필름의 산소투과도 및 산소투과 방지도에 관한 연구 (Studies on the Oxygen Permeability and It's Proofness of the Various Commercial Polymer Films)

  • 일정온도와 압력에서 상업용 고분자필름들의 산소투과도와 산소투과방지도에 관하여 연주하였다. 산소투과방지 도는 산소특과도의 역수로 정의하고 coulometric oxygen permeability tester를 사용하여 $23{\pm}1^{\circ}C$, latm에서 24시간 동안 투과한 산소의 량을 측정하였다. 산소투과방지도의 상대적 크기는 다음과 같은 순서로 감소함을 밝혔다. 연신 Nylon (O. Nylon)> 연신 Polyester (O. PET)> 무연신 Nylon (N. Nylon)> 무연신 Polyester(N. PET)> 경질 Polyvinyl chloride (Rigid PVC)> 반경질 Polyvinyl chloride (Semirigid PVC)> 연신 Polypropylene (O. PP)> 연질 Polyvinyl chloride (P. PVC)> 무연신 Polypropylene (C. PP)> 저밀도 Polyethylene(LDPE)> 고밀도 Polyethylene (HDPE, Inflation)> 고밀도 Polyethylene (HDPE, T-die) 필름들의 산소투과방지도는 고분자의 극성, 필름의 두께 및 기계적 연신성의 증가에 따라서 증가하고 PVC에서는 가소제 첨가에 따라서 감소하였다. 포장재료로서 고분자 필름은 고분자 주쇄에 극성이 있는 필름과 극성이 없는 필름들을 산소 및 습기투과방지를 위하여 첩합하여야 한다.
