Purpose: This study intends to report the effects of Koong Gui Tang on Cold Hypersensitivity caused by acute and chronic Blood Deficiency. Methods: The patients having Cold Hypersensitivity were treated with oriental medicine including herbal medication therapy. Thereafter their health status was analyzed with their own empirical assessments and VAS. Results: After the series of medical treatment, Cold Hypersensitivity caused by acute and chronic Blood Deficiency has shown considerable improvement. Conclusion: This case study shows that Koong Gui Tang therapies are medically effective on Cold Hypersensitivity caused by acute and chronic Blood Deficiency.

Objectives: To observe the effects of Herb medication on Polycystic Ovary (PCO) in rats. Methods: Riss (Research Information Sharing Service) was searched for Oriental medicine about PCO on 2000~2014. So, Experimental studies using PCO model induced by Estradiol Valerate (EV) was selected to analyze how effects they were. Consequently, 10 studies published on 2000~2014 were selected to analyze about weight of model and both ovaries, the number aries, the number of follicle and corpus of follicle and corpus luteum, the level of serum Androstenedione (ADD) and total estrogen, the level of Nerve Growth Factor (NGF) and Corticotropin Releasing Factor (CRF), the crossover rate and the number of implantation. Results: Among them, there was significantly difference between treatment group and control group in weight of both ovaries, the number of follicle and corpora lutea, the crossover rate and the number of implantation. Conclusions: The effects of Herb medication was observed on making weight of ovaries with PCO to promote. The study about effect of Herb medication on NGF and CRF with PCOS had to be conducted. The further research have to focus on treatment of subfertility and infertility, that is field showing the advantage of Oriental medicine.

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to report the clinical effectiveness of oriental medicine on genital eczema. Methods: The Yongdamsagan-tang was used for relieving pruritus, skin flare and the other symptoms. The efficacy of treatment was evaluated with inspection and patient's report. Results: After treatments, the symptoms of genital and hand eczema were improved and the patient has not reoccurred. Conclusions: This case report shows that the herbal medication relieves the pruritus, skin flare and the other symptoms caused by genital eczema.

Purpose: Sjogren's syndrome is a type of autoimmune disease and characterized by the keratoconjunctivitis sicca, xerostomia, dryness of mouth & eyes and rheumatoid arthritis or another connective tissue disease. In the Traditional Korean Medicine, there is few report to diagnose and treat Sjogren's syndrome. Methods: The subject was a typical Sjogren's syndrome in 48-year old women whose complaints were dryness of mouth and eyes, severe general myalgia. The author treated her with acupuncture and herbal medicine therapy, then evaluated with MMQ score, XQS grade and VAS score on a regular basis. Results: After treatment, clinical symptoms were improved, MMQ score and XQS grade were decreased. Conclusion: The Traditional Korean Medical Therapy combined acupuncture with herbal medicine relieves the symptom of Sjogren's syndrome.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to report the effect of Traditional Korean Medical therapy on 3 patients with Oligomenorrhea. who were obese. Methods: The overweight patients who had been suffering from Oligomenorrhea visited to OBGY department of Dongseo Oriental Medical Hospital. We diagnosed their cases as Supdam(濕痰) on the authority of the first oriental medical examination and treated them with Traditional Korean Medical therapy such as herbal medication and acupuncture therapy. The process of symptoms was evaluated by checking their Menstrual periods. Results: After Traditional Korean Medical therapy. Three cases of Oligomenorrhea were improved. Their Menstrual periods were shortened and Menstrual cycles were maintained. Conclusion: This study shows that overweight or obesity is connected with Oligomenorrhea. Traditional Korean Medical therapy can be effective for the management of Oligomenorrhea.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to report the effect of oriental treatments to postpartum depression. Methods: We treated 41 years old woman and 38 years old woman who had the postpartum depression. In the beginning of treatment, they had anxiety, depression, insomnia, fatigue. They were treated by oriental treatments such as herb medicine, acupuncture, moxa therapy. And then We compared postpartum depression before treatment with one after treatment by Edinburgh postnatal depression scale(EPDS). Results: After the oriental treatments, the clinical symptoms were improved and EPDS was reduced (one reduces from 18 to 10, the other reduces from 17 to 8). Conclusion: Oriental treatments are effective on postpartum depression. After this, further approach and study on postpartum depression might be needed.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to report the clinical effectiveness of oriental medicine on Recurrent Vulvo Vaginal Candidiasis(RVVC). Methods: The patients who were suffered from RVVC were treated by oriental medical treatment such as herbal medication, acupuncture and moxibustion therapy. Results: After Oriental medical treatments, the symptoms of RVVC was disappeared and quality of life was improved. Conclusions: This case report shows that the oriental medical therapy is effective for treating RVVC

In Oriental medicine, urinary incontinence is defined involuntary voiding of urine. This study was performed to investigate the treatment on urinary incontinence through the literature of oriental medicine. This study reviews the therapy method of urinary incontinence based on 63 books of oriental medicine and 20 papers about the treatment of urinary incontinence. Herbal medicine has been used as urinary incontinence treatment. One of herbal remedy is selected according to the symptoms, and then herbal products are supplemented such as warm-hot, convergence medicines. Acupuncture and moxibustion therapy has been performed with herbal medicine, electroacupuncture, pharmacopuncture, conservation therapy such as Kegel exercise, timed voiding and extracorporeal magnetic innervation for incontinence treatment. The treatment of urinary incontinence by oriental medicine includes auricular acupuncture, external medical treatment and taoist methods. There is a lack of related study about these therapy.

Purpose: This paper is aim to report the effects of Takchabojoongikkitang-gamibang (澤車補中益氣湯加味方) on the chronic relapsing cystitis. Methods: Three women who had different age 27 years old, 28 years old and 51 years old women, who diagnosed chronic relapsing cystitis. were enrolled in this study. They received oriental treatments such as herbal medicine, acupuncture for several months. The 27 years old women we gave her Takchabojoongikkitang-gamibang 3 times for 3 months. The 28 years old women we gave her Takchabojoongikkitang-gamibang 2 times for 2 months. The 51 years old women we gave her Takchabojoongikkitang-gamibang 5 times for 3 months. During the treatments, we requested them to visit hospital every two weeks. If they could not come to hospital, we called them to take follow-up. Results: After the treatments, symptoms of chronic relapsing cystitis were decreased or disappeared. Conclusion: This clinical cases indicate that Takchabojoongikkitang-gamibang is effective in treatment of the chronic relapsing cystitis and can prevent chronic progress and relapse of symptoms. More clinical data and studies are requested for the treatment of chronic relapsing cystitis.

Purpose: To report the effect of oriental medicine on a infertile patient with endometriosis diagnosed as a IVF case due to pelvic adhesion. Methods: The patient who had infertility problem with pelvic adhesion from endometriosis in spite of 2 times of IVF trials was treated with the oriental medicine such as herbal medication, herbal acupuncture and moxibustion therapy, and so forth. Results: After the oriental medical treatments, the patient could give a natural birth to a healthy baby. Conclusion: This case report shows that the oriental medical treatment is effective for treating infertility of endometriosis with pelvic adhesion.
