Purpose - This study empirically investigates how the effects of localized knowledge spillovers on technology adoption are conditional on the organizational capabilities of potential adopters. Design/methodology - The empirical model utilized in this study examines how the presence of prior adopters of advanced manufacturing technologies affects a plant's technology adoption decision differently based on its organizational capabilities, measured by plant size and plant status (single-plant firm vs. multi-plant firm). Moreover, this study investigates how the scope of knowledge spillovers from prior adopters, both in terms of geographical and functional proximities, differ for plants with different organizational capabilities. Findings - The main findings of this study are as follows: 1. Although plants with lower organizational capabilities are less likely to adopt advanced technologies, such plants receive greater marginal benefits from knowledge spillovers from prior adopters in their region. 2. Plants with greater organizational capabilities can benefit from knowledge spillovers from a wider set of prior adopters. In other words, while plants with lower organizational capabilities tend to benefit from knowledge spillovers from "similar" and "local" adopters, plants with greater organizational capabilities can also benefit from knowledge spillovers from "not-too-similar" or are geographically distant prior adopters. Originality/value - While existing studies mainly focus on the effects of the various kinds of regional agglomeration, few studies investigate localized knowledge spillovers in technology adoption. Moreover, no prior studies have explored how the effects of knowledge spillovers on technology adoption depend on a plant's organizational capabilities and how the scope of knowledge spillovers differs for plants with different organizational capabilities. This study is the first to empirically investigate this topic.
Purpose: This study aimed to analyze the contribution of emotional labor (surface acting, deep acting) and organizational commitment (affective commitment, continuance commitment) to turnover intention and customer orientation of school foodservice dietitian. Methods: Our survey was administered to 393 school foodservice dietitian in the Busan area on February 11, 2014. Results: For verification of mean differences, the mean scores for surface acting, deep acting, affective commitment, and continuance commitment were found to be 2.53/5.00, 3.71, 2.88, and 3.57, respectively. The mean surface acting score was significantly different according to age (p<0.001), total length of career as a dietitian (p<0.01), school type (p<0.001), and employment status (p<0.05). The mean deep acting and turnover intention scores were significantly different according to age (p<0.001), total length of career as a dietitian (p<0.001), school type (p<0.001), employment status (p<0.001), and no. of meals served (p<0.001). The mean customer orientation score was significantly different according to age (p<0.05), employment status (p<0.01), and number of work hour (p<0.05). There was a positive correlation (p<0.01) between turnover intention and surface acting and continuance commitment, but a negative correlation (p<0.01) with deep acting and affective commitment. Also, there was a positive correlation (p<0.01) between customer orientation and deep acting, affective commitment, but a negative correlation (p<0.01) with surface acting. Affective commitment had a negative influence on turnover intention (${\beta}=-0.444$, p<0.001), but surface acting had a positive influence on turnover intention (${\beta}=0.110$, p<0.05). Conclusion: These results suggest that management of affective commitment is essential for decreasing turnover intention. Therefore, emotional labor and organizational commitment of school foodservice dietitians should be managed from the school foodservice organizational viewpoint of The Ministry of Education.
The purpose of this study was to identify the influence of school foodservice dietitians' work value on job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and turnover intentions. Also, this study explored the role of the expectation to the institution of nutrition teachers as a moderating variable in three relationships: 1) between work value and job satisfaction, 2) between work value and organizational commitment, and 3) between work value and turnover intentions. This study surveyed dietitians who worked at school foodservice in Kyunggii and Daegu${\cdot}$Gyeoungbuk province. A total of 509 responses were collected using on-site survey and online survey (response rate 59.3%). This study conducted hierarchical regression analysis to test the moderating effect of the expectation to the institution of nutrition teachers. Results of hierarchical regression showed that work value of status upgrade had a positive effect on job satisfaction to promotion opportunity and salary, and such effect was more significantly apparent in high expectation to new work. In addition, work value of status upgrade had a positive effect on turnover intention, and such effect was more significantly apparent in low expectation to new work environment improvement. Work value of work activity preference also appeared to have a positive effect on organizational commitment, and such effect was more significantly apparent in high expectation to social status and professionalism.

This study was aimed to be able to dedicate to the quality promotion of nursing of the nurses and the development of hospital organization by investigating interrelations between job satisfaction degree and organizational commitment of the clinical nurses. The objects of this study have been 507 nurses working in university hospital in Seoul and the materials have been collected through structured questionnaires for 14 days from Feb. 23. 1998 through March 8. The materials have been analyzed and computerized statistically with SPSS. General characteristics have been analyzed by practical number and percentage. and job satisfaction degree and organizational commitment have been analyzed by average evaluation marks and standard deviation and the relation between general characteristics and job satisfaction degree and the relation between general characteristics and organizational commitment have been analyzed by t-test or F-test(ANOVA) according to the characteristics of variable. Correlations between job satisfaction degree and organizational commitment have been analyzed by Pearson's Correlation Coefficient. The followings are the summaries of the results of the study: 1. The degree of job satisfaction of the object was 3.26 in average on the basic of 5 marks and worth area showed highest by 3.78 while wage and welfare 2.70 the lowest when analyzed 11 areas. 2. Organizational commitment of the object showed 3.24 in average on the basic of 5 marks. 3. The result of the analysis of correlations between organizational commitment and the turnover intension and job related action has shown comparatively high reverse correlations (r=.6375) between organizational commitment and turnover intension and low reverse correlations(r=.3253) between organizational commitment and job related action. Based on the above results. the study of the ways of increasing the degree of satisfaction about wage. welfare. position and stability and the supervision of the senior which showed the low degree of job satisfaction should be conducted and through the management of the degree of job satisfaction which affects to the organizational commitment, I would like to propose that the ways of increasing the sense of commitment to the hospital organization of the nurses should be studied.
This study develops a framework and instruments to diagnose the current knowledge management(KM) status of an organization and to suggest future KM implementation directions. Based on the comprehensive review of KM literature and KM case studies, we derive three main aspects(strategic, social and technical aspect) and seven critical factors(KM strategy, knowledge worker, organizational strucuture, organizational culture, KM processe, organizational knowledge, and information technology) for the successful KM implementation. The instruments developed in this study include every specific measurement items of each critical success factor, which are expected to help not only suggest a context-sensitive KM strategy but also evaluate current KM status of a designated organization. By introducing two dimensions of KM evaluation(effectiveness and necessity), a more holistic and contingent view of KM can be assured. Academic contributions as well as practical implications are discussed. Study limitations and future research directions are also provided.
Purpose - The purpose of this study is to confirm that five different working positions show different Organizational Commitment (OC) and factors influencing OC levels in the Chinese MNCs. Design/methodology/approach - The study collected data of 326 employees in different positions in Chinese MNCs abroad and in domestic country. To test hypotheses, ANOVA analysis and linearity regression are used with SPSS 26 and AMOS 26 software on the collected data. Findings - Results shows that different working groups do not show significant difference of AC and CC level. However, there are significant difference of NC among the five groups in the Chinese MNCs. Employee's position and marital status are positively related to CC and NC. Tenure is positively related to AC. Research implications or Originality - Our research offers insight for further research direction on OC difference research. It provides implication for Chinese MNCs to consider more about strategies how to stimulate host country employee's normative commitment.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of perceived organizational support on organizational commitment and career commitment of nurses. Method: The subjects of this study were 336 nurses who were working in the 6 hospitals. The data were collected by structured questionnaire from Oct. 9 to Nov. 7 of 2006. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe test, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple regression. Results: The mean score of POS was 2.87, organizational commitment was 3.30 and career commitment was 3.08. The POS was positively correlated with organizational commitment and career commitment. The POS and marital status explained 21.3% of the variance for affective commitment, 12.1% of the variance of continuous commitment. The POS and career explained 14.8% of the variance for career commitment. Conclusion: The findings showed that POS was important factor for enhancing organizational commitment and career commitment of clinical nurses. Therefore, the nurse manager must establish the strategies to improve the POS of the nurses in order to promote the organizational commitment and career commitment.

Organizational citizenship behavior refers to the behavior of faithfully performing one's duties and being faithful to other roles. Firefighters' awareness of organizational citizenship behavior is closely related to national and individual safety and is very important. The smooth communication and cooperative attitude of fire department employees means organic unity at the disaster site. The purpose of this study was to analyze the awareness of organizational citizenship behavior among firefighters. As a result of analyzing the overall level of organizational citizenship behavior of firefighters, the average score was 3.83 points (out of 5). In particular, significant implications emerged regarding work-related appointment times and words and actions between co-workers. In the future, we hope that firefighting policy authorities will make a lot of efforts and academic research by subsequent generations will be conducted to make firefighting more trustworthy to the public.
Objectives: This study was to measure community capacity using individual-level and organizational-level capacity indicators and illuminated the relationship of community capacity and self-rated health status in two regions in Seoul, Korea. Methods: The data from individual surveys were obtained by quota sampling the residents of two autonomous gu in Seoul (N=1,000). The data from organizational surveys were obtained by snowball sampling lists of organizations in the possession of gu offices with a sampling frame (N=153). The survey tools were 6 indicators regarding residents' social capital and a sense of community and 5 indicators regarding community-based organizations and their networks. The analysis methods consisted of the effect of the components of capacity on health status and social network analysis. Results: As for capacity on individual levels, while D-gu was mainly developed inn individual capacity in terms of social interaction, Y-gu was stronger in a sense of community and cohesion among residents. As for capacity on organizational levels, Y-gu was more developed than was D-gu in associational networks. Conclusion: It is necessary to develop health promotion program per community and to strengthen partnerships with and among grassroots organizations based in local communities through the measurement of community capacity.

This research aims to examine the cause-and-effect relationship between Organizational Justice and Organizational Commitment within ICT corporates for fire prevention, through Leader-Member Exchange(LMX) and Organizational Support. A survey was conducted to corporate employees from staff members to executives. A total of 316 responses were collected during two weeks from May 1st to 17th, 2019, and were analyzed in this research. The result of the theory on ICT fire prevention was as follows: First, Distributive Justice has significant influence on Organizational Support, while it does not on LMX. Second, Procedural Justice has significant influence on both Organizational Support and LMX. Third, while Interactional Justice does not have significant influence on Organizational Support, LMX showed significant influence. Fourth, Organizational Support has significant influence on Organizational Commitment. Fifth, LMX has significant influence on Organizational Commitment. This research is academically significant in that it applied the Justice Theory on ICT corporates for fire prevention from staff members to executives. It is considered so, since existing researches mainly address on the status of technologies and policies on how to link fire prevention and ICT, and not on fair compensation based on Organization Justice theory. Practical significance can be found in its suggestions to improving organizational culture from top-down to bottom-up, thus creating free and engaging atmosphere at work. It is therefore needed to conduct further researches that categorize executives by their traits, and examine factors influencing on organizational commitment within ICT corporates for fire prevention.
