With a cluster analysis, we confirmed four types of IORs, and the relationships among critical variables. Findings The results of cluster analysis showed that according to the types of IORs, the frequency and quality of IOIF are different. Appropriate kinds of e-commerce strategies were examined under the each types of IORs, which cause specific patterns of IOIF. It was found that the adoption of e-procurement strategy can improve the supply-chain performance of a firm in trust relationship. It was also observed that under partnerships, the use of e-partnerships strategy can contribute to the improvement of supply-chain performance.

  • Among various joint ventures, International Construction Joint Ventures (ICJVs) have emerged as a popular approach worldwide to developing large scale projects through international participation. A model, based on economic analysis and represented by several hypotheses obtained from the analysis, will be developed. Furthermore, we will empirically test the hypotheses/model using Structural Equation Model (SEM). This research is expected to explain why there exist different organizational forms for ICJVs, and to develop a framework for choosing appropriate forms with respect to various characteristics of ICJVs.

  • Social workers experience various work commitment forms in the field practice. This study tries to find the discriminant validity of job, organizational, career, and relationship commitments among these work commitment forms. This study also tries to find the interrelationship among these commitment forms and the relationship of each of four commitment forms with the withdrawal intention, which is represented by turnover intention and career change intention. For this purpose, a survey of 417 social workers working for community welfare centers in Busan and Gyeongnam was conducted and the data was analyzed. The results of this study showed that the work commitment forms have discriminant validity. The analysis of interrelationship between commitment forms using SEM revealed that the more a social worker commits to his or her job, the more he/she commits to his/her job and the relationship with the client. In addition, job and organizational and career commitments affect turnover intention while career and relationship commitments affect career change intention. Therefore, to improve organizational management, it is necessary to understand diverse forms of work commitment as well as organizational commitment. And differentiated management strategies are needed to increase either each commitment form or various commitment forms at the same time.

  • A corporate university (CU) is an educational institution established by an organization whose primary purpose is not education. Traditionally, a CU is considered a training facility to improve organizational performance. However, the proliferation of the CU has engendered its diverse purposes, roles, and forms. This study attempts to identify three types of the existing CUs: (a) a CU to improve organizational performance; (b) a CU to satisfy employees' learning needs; and (c) a CU to develop a competent national workforce. Also, this study suggests a holistic CU model including the three CU types. In order to transform a CU to a multifunctional CU embracing all three types of CU, organizations should (a) provide communication and collaboration channels, (b) present clear organizational goals, (c) establish organizational policies/systems to encourage learning in CUs, and (d) devise an effective approach to evaluate the impact of CUs. Organization' s critical roles in the development of CUs can assist CUs in becoming the core of knowledge management.

Technology, trends toward access over ownership, user focus, and restructuring in higher education are some of the major factors contributing to these changes. The users' new information retrieving behavior are emerged from the developments in information technology with new media and from the competitive research environments, and thus this trend has led to the gradual increase of collection arrangement by subjects rather than by forms, particularly from 1995 in Korean universities' libraries. Users especially in university libraries who are frequently seeking information on the specific subject, are going to find a room accoinmodating all forms of information on the subject, that is, one-stop information service.
