  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the influences of organizational culture and childcare teachers' job satisfaction on their intention to change jobs. The participants of this study were 290 childcare teachers from the Busan and Gyeongnam areas. The instruments used in this study were the Organizational Culture Scale (4 factors with 16 items), Childcare Teacher's Job Satisfaction Scale (6 factors with 40 items), and Childcare Teacher's Intention to Change Jobs Scale (1 factor with 7 items). The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, one-way analysis of variance, Pearson's product moment correlation, and stepwise multiple regression with SPSS ver. 21.0 software. The results were as follows: First, the higher childcare teachers' intention to change jobs, the lower was their monthly income, age, and career level, and the total number of children that they had to serve. Second, there were significant positive correlations between childcare teachers' intention to change jobs and their innovative, collective, and rational organizational culture. Further, there were significant negative correlations between childcare teachers' intention to change jobs and hierarchical organizational culture. and between childcare teachers' intention to change jobs and their job satisfaction. Finally, childcare teachers' intention to change jobs was found to be 46% about job satisfaction and organizational culture and was explained the most by the director's childcare center management. This study primarily suggests that a director's role is important in the lowering of childcare teacher's intention to change jobs.

For overcoming these problems and successful development of new product architecture, organizational design and management in the process of product development becomes essential. In case of Sharp, corporate development project team had been used to overcome the restrictions from architectural knowledge accumulated through previous product. After launching first new PDA by corporate development project team, Sharp created a new division and pushed an evolution of PDA, when new PDA market start to grow up rapidly toward a major market segmentation. As a result, Sharp was able to build up stable PDA project trajectory. However, Casio was late for three years in launching of new PDA architecture because previous division charging of Electronic Organizer tried to develop first new PDA. Casio's PDA development was prohibited by engineers of previous division because new PDA architecture was inferior on user interface and display definition. That is, Casio's first PDA development was restricted by architectural knowledge of previous product.

The framework has three independent variables viz. technological change, information technology (IT) infrastructure, and IT knowledge management and one dependent variable as organisational productivity. Research design, data and methodology: An explanatory research design with a quantitative research method was employed, and data was collected using a self-administered questionnaire using online as well as an offline survey. The sample consisted of 300 IT managers and senior-level executives (production as well as service team) in leading IT companies in Malaysia selected using snowball sampling. Normality and reliability assessment was performed in the first stage utilising SPSS 22, and Confirmatory Factory Analysis (CFA) was performed with maximum likelihood estimation to assess the internal consistency, convergent validity, and discriminant validity. Finally, Structural Equation Model (SEM) and path analysis are conducted using AMOS 22. Results: The research findings demonstrated that technological change and IT infrastructure positively and significantly impact the organisation's productivity while IT knowledge management has significant but negative impact on organizational productivity of IT companies in Malaysia. Conclusion: The research concludes that all three factors plays important role in deciding organizational producvity. Recommendations, implications, limitations and future research avenues are discussed.

  • The present study aims at identifying the nature of the organizational patterns for serial management and thus providing an assitance for decision-making in regards to how the serials in an individual library be processed. The premise of the paper is that effective management is ensued from adopting proper organizational arrangement. In the first part. attempts are made to bring to the fore the problems inherent in serial management and the efforts made for possible solutions. The main portion of the paper eximines the two outstanding patterns; namely, the decentralized arrangement patterned after the traditional functions of a library and the centralized one integrating such functions as acquisition, cataloging and information service. Both are examined in light of nature, development, applicability, strengths and weeknesses. Automation is viewed as a strong force for a change in organizing serial work as it has already brought about organizational change in some large libraries. The general conclusion is that a large collection(5,000 active titles or more) has much to benefit from a separate, specialized department. which integrates the related functions; and the smaller collection can be effectively treated like the rest of the library materials, assigning a specific unit responsible for serial work and promoting an informal communication activities which would bring about coordination and coorperation for the free flow of serial work.

  • Organizations need to exhibit characteristics of agility to stay ahead of their competitors and to survive in dynamic environments. One major concern for organizations is how to implement Information Systems (ISs) to enhance their agility. Organizations tend to spend too many resources to change their entire IS instead of only the components that cause problems without exactly knowing whether it enables or suppress organizational agility. To address these shortcomings and practical issues, we provide a framework to assess organizational agility and to diagnose a problem related to IS. By applying this prototype of the Agility Framework, we were able to diagnose a problem that the department of Management Control and Information Systems at the Universidad de Chile had and planned actions for them to improve its organizational agility with a course scheduling system, eClasSkeduler. This action research, which took more than 25-month for the first cycle, further develops the Agility Framework, which not only provides a way to link IS with organizational functions but also illustrates how to use it to diagnose a situation and plan actions for improving organizational agility through an information system.

  • This study explores how an organization has successfully implemented ML-supported HR services to resolve high employee turnover problems in the IT sector. The empirical setting of the research is where contradicting institutional logics exist among technical, HR, and business groups regarding the ML model development and use of the model predictions in HR services. Institutional framework is used to identify the roles of organizational actors and the legitimacy structures in the organizational environments that can shape or constrain the ML led organizational changes. In institutional theories, technology adoption and organizational change are not only constrained by organizational context, but also fostered through organizational actors' roles and efforts to increase the legitimacy for the change. This research found that when multiple contradicting institutional logics exist, legitimizing the establishment of an enabling environment for multiple logics to reconcile and for the project to move forward is critical. Industry-wide conditions, previous experiences with the pilot ML project, forming a TFT with clearly defined roles and responsibilities, and relevant KPIs are found to legitimize the HR team and the business division to collaborate with the technical personnel to launch ML-supported HR services.
