We report the fabrication of pentacene organic field-effect transistors (OFETs) using a fluorinated styrene-alt-maleic anhydride copolymer gate dielectric, which was prepared from styrene derivatives with a fluorinated side chain [$-CH_2-O-(CH_2)_2-(CF_2)_5CF_3$] and maleic anhydride through a solution polymerization technique. The fluorinated side chain was used to impart hydrophobicity to the surface of the gate dielectric and maleic anhydride was employed to improve its wetting properties. A field-effect mobility of 0.12 cm$^2$/Vs was obtained from the as-prepared top-contact pentacene FETs. Since various functional groups can be introduced into the copolymer due to the nature of maleic anhydride, its physical properties can be manipulated easily. Using this type of copolymer, the performance of organic FETs can be enhanced through optimization of the interfacial properties between the gate dielectric and organic semiconductor.
The performance of the DRAM is strongly dependent on the purity and surface roughness of the TIT (TiN/Insulator/ TiN) capacitor electrodes. Hence, in the present study, we evaluate the effects of organic contamination and change of surface roughness on the cylindrical TIT capacitor electrodes during the wet cleaning process by various analytical techniques such as TDMS, AFM, XRD and V-SEM. Once the sacrificial oxide and PR (Photo Resist) are removed by HF, the organic contamination and surface oxide films on the bottom Ti/TiN electrode become visible. With prolonged HF process, the surface roughness of the electrode is increased, whereas the amount of oxidized Ti/TiN is reduced due to the HF chemicals. In the 80nm DRAM device fabrication, the organic contamination of the cylindrical TIT capacitor may cause defects like SBD (Storage node Bridge Defect). The SBD fail bit portion is increased as the surface roughness is increased by HF chemicals reactions.
During the last 20 years organic semiconductors have attracted considerable attention due to their interesting physical properties followed by various technological applications in the area of electronics and opto-electronics. It has been a long time since organic solar cells were expected as a low-cost energy-conversion device. Although practical use of them has not been achieved, technological progress continues. Morphology of the materials, organic/inorganic interface, metal cathodes, molecular packing and structural properties of the donor and acceptor layers are essential for photovoltaic response. We have fabricated solar cell devices based on zinc-phthalocyanine(ZnPc) as donor(D) and fullerine$(C_{60})$ as electron acceptor(A) with doped charge transport layers, $Alq_3$ as an electron transport or injection layer. We observed the photovoltaic characteristics of the solar celt devices using the Xe lamp as a light source.

We have measured photovoltaic characteristics of the solar-cell devices using the xenon lamp as a light source.
The manufacture of organic electronic circuits requires effective heterogeneous integration of different nanoscale organic materials with uniform morphology and crystallinity in a desired arrangement on a substrate. Herein, we present a new direct printing method, which enables monolithic integration of crystalline nanowire arrays with a diverse range of organic materials. In this method, we use a nanoscale patterned soft mold, which contains an assembly of simple nanoline patterns but, in combination with droplet of various organic inks, can produce a large-scale integration of various nanopatterns with multiple kinds of organic materials. The morphology of organic nanowires can controlled by nanoconfinement in nanoline of mold. And mutual alignment of nanopatterns can be controlled by adjusting the ink droplet size, number of droplets, ink deposition locations.
Recently, nanostructure and the molecular orientation of organic thin films have been largely paid attention due to its importance in organic electronics such as organic thin film transistors (OTFTs), organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs), and organic photovoltaics (OPVs). Among various methods, the diffraction and scattering techniques based on synchrotron x-rays have shown powerful results in organic thin film systems. In this work, we introduce the in-situ annealing system installed at PLS-II (Pohang Light Source II) for organic thin films by simultaneously conducting various x-ray scattering measurements of x-ray reflectivity, conventional x-ray scattering, grazing incidence wide angle x-ray scattering (GI-WAXS) and so on. Using the in-situ measurement, we could obtain real time variation of nanostructure as well as molecular orientation during thermal annealing in metal-phthalocyanine thin films. The variation of surface and interface also could be simultaneously investigated by the x-ray reflectivity measurement.

The luminance efficiency of the red organic light-emitting devices fabricated utilizing a double electron transport layer (ETL) consisting of an Al-doped and an undoped layer was investigated. The Al atoms existing in the ETL acted as hole blocking sites, resulting in an increase in the luminance efficiency.

The electrical and the optical properties of organic light-emitting devices (OLEDs), with and without various kinds of multiple heterostructures were investigated. The efficiency in green OLEDs were significantly enhanced by the structure of the multiple heterostructures acting as a hole transport layer (HTL) rather than by the number of periods. These results indicate that highly efficient green OLEDs utilizing multiple heterostructures acting as a HTL can be fabricated.

A new pixel driving method for organic light-emitting diode (OLED) flat-panel display (FPD) is proposed. The new charge-pump passive-matrix pixel driver consists only of a storage capacitance and a rectifying diode, and no thin-film transistor (TFT) is needed. The new driver not only supplies a constant current to the OLED throughout the whole period of panel scanning like an active-matrix driver, but also provides a highly linear gray-scale control through a pure digital manner.
We fabricated pentacene organic thin film transistor with good uniformity. And we extracted contact resistance in organic thin film transistors from the plot of the inverse of drain current versus channel length by extrapolating the curve to a channel length of zero, and multiplying by drain-source voltage. Extracted contact resistance is about $70K{\Omega}$ at gate-drain voltage of -20 V
