A Study for Building Service Quality Information System(SQIS) (서비스품질 정보시스템(SQIS) 설계에 관한 연구)

  • As service firms continue to seek unique sources of sustainable competitive advantage, service quality has been discussed as a potential alternative to traditional skills and sources. The information of customers is generally believed to be a key component in creating corporate responsiveness to customer requests. In order to develop and maintain long-term close relationships with customers(CRM), service firms need to build an effective and ongoing service quality information system(SQIS). Service firms that formally collect customer-related information and internal service quality information were to be more responsive. The purpose of the present study is twofold. 1. How to nicely get the information on the service quality. 2. How to build a SQIS. One of numerous examples from financial service-sector firms is given to show that SQIS can be developed to improve service quality. This paper investigates SQIS of a Korean commercial bank as an example. Implications and strategies for building an effective SQIS for financial service-sector firms are discussed, and directions for future research are indicated.

Objective Assessment of Visual Quality and Ocular Scattering Based on Double-pass Retinal Images in Refractive-surgery Patients and Emmetropes

  • This study was performed to evaluate objective visual quality and ocular scattering in myopic refractive-surgery patients, compared to emmetropes. Optical vision-quality parameters (modulation transfer function (MTF) cutoff and Strehl ratio) and objective scattering index (OSI) were measured using an optical quality analysis system (OQAS II) based on the double-pass technique. In all subjects, the higher the MTF cutoff and Strehl ratio, the lower the OSI and ocular higher-order aberrations (HOAs). The MTF cutoff and Strehl ratio for the laser-assisted subepithelial keratectomy (LASEK) group were lower than those for the emmetropia group, while the OSI, ocular HOAs, and spherical aberration (SA) for the LASEK group were higher than those for emmetropia group. Ocular scattering would be one of the important factors in regard to visual quality. Therefore, the quality of the retinal image in the LASEK patients has been shown to reduce the quality of vision more than in the emmetropes.

Investigation and Analysis of Water Quality Environmental for Preparing a Natural Learning and Experimental Area in Bukchun and Boundary (북천지역 자연학습 체험단지 조성을 위한 수질 환경성 조사 및 분석)

  • This study analyzes the river system and water quality conditions of Bukchun in order to establish a basic plan for Preparing a natural learning and experimental area of environmental ecosystem in Bukchun, Gyeongju. It also tries to establish an integrated plan for water management of Bukchun stream based on water contaminants. In addition, after analysing the water quality at 13 points during the non-rainy season, the effluent of municipal wastewater was of relatively better quality with I ~ II grade, below the water quality standard of the river, except in points near Samsung apartments. However, analysing the Hyeongsangang and the effluent of Bomunho and Duckdongdam in rainy season, the water quality was II ~ III grade according to environmental standard. The water Quality of those samples was strongly dependent of non-point source.

Water Quality Management of Agricultural Reservoirs Considering Effective Water Depth (농업용 저수지의 유효수심과 수질관리방안)

  • Water quality data for 10 years (2000~2009) from about 826 reservoirs that are operated as a agricultural water quality survey network were analyzed in order to seek water quality management plan based on physical and chemical characteristics of agricultural reservoirs. The 95% reservoirs that exceed agricultural water quality standard of Chl-a (35mg/ $m^3$) had effective water depth shallower than 5m. The reason was that the reservoirs had more inflows of nutrient salts from the watershed, bigger surface water area of weak structure to algae occurrence. As the reservoirs of effective water depth shallower than 5m cover 49% of benefited area for irrigation, it is critical for agricultural water quality management of the reservoirs. The water quality of reservoir with shallower than 5m effective water depth was worse than reservoir with deeper than 5m effective water depth. Therefore, it is desirable that effective water depth of reservoirs make more than 5m for water quality management by building the bank higher and dredging the bottom of reservoirs.

  • This paper investigates the relation between the Process capability index(PCI) and the quality assurance level under various conditions. The effect of the off-targetness of the process mean, deviation from the nomality, the estimation error, and tile measurement error on the quality assurance level is evaluated. Various distributions such as the Student-t, the chi-square, the gamma, the Weibull, and the log-normal distributions are considered to evaluate the deviation from the nomality. The quality levels under abnormal conditions turn out to be severely different from that under the standard condition. We provide tables and graphs of the quality assurance level on various abnormal conditions. In order for the industry users to use the PCI properly, they should refer to the tables and graphs, especially when they are not certain about the standard assumptions on which the PCI depends.

  • The purpose of TQM (Total Quality Management)-centered organizational culture is to enhance the efficiency of business through the proper allocation and concentration of restricted resources. In order to maximize the corporate profitability through customer satisfaction, what kind of, when and how many resources should be allocated and managed to the preventive TQM activities and corrective TQM activities have become a very important decision making factors at the point of high management. This study aims to identify the causal relationships of quality-centered organizational culture on service quality and customer satisfaction relating to service failure in food service industry. And this study is intended to discover the factors of quality-centered organizational culture which impacts on service recovery justice after service failure happens, and it can be helpful for the top managers to make a decision to how to form corporate structural culture.

Water quality forecasting on upstream of chungju lake by flow duration (충주호 상류지역의 유황별 장래수질예측)

  • In order to define about concern with discharge and water-quality, it is calculated drought flow, low flow, normal flow and wet flow in Chungju watershed from flow duration analysis. Water quality modeling study is performed for forecasting at upstream of Chungju lake. It is devided method of modeling into before and after the equipment of environmental treatment institution. And it is estimated the change of water quality. Before the equipment of environmental treatment, BOD concentration is increased from 23000 to 2006 years at all site and decrease on 2012 years. The rate of increasing BOD concentration is showed height between 2000 years and 2003 years most of all site. And after the equipment of environmental treatment, it is showed first grade of BOD water quality in most of sample site beside Jucheon river. The result of water quality modeling using drought flow showed that a lot of pollution occurred. And water quality using wet flow is good, so much discharge make more improve water quality than little discharge.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the degree of product's qualify improvement by the effectiveness which is identified as worker's mindset improvement, a management ability improvement and quality system's establishment in the existing papers as well as the construction of a quality assurance system by acquiring the ISO 9000 series certification. In order to identify the product's quality improvement, the analysis of Garvin's eight dimensions of quality characteristics as well as the analysis a design quality improvement, a manufacturing quality improvement, a service quality improvement are conducted through this study.

Evaluation method of multi-attribute quality using data envelopment analysis (DEA에 의한 다속성 품질의 평가방법에 관한 연구 -전기보온솥의 사례를 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study is concerned with suggesting a new a, pp.oach to evaluating the overall product quality in the sense of the relative efficiency of products, whose quality is measured with 8-dimensional attributes, suggested by Garvin. The attributes included 8 quality measures, that is, performance, features, reliability, conformance, durability, serviceabilit, aesthetics, and perceived quality. This study, also, introduced DEA(Data Envelopment Analysis) as an evaluation tool to tackle the problem of how to measure one product against another when each product can be measured along a number of dimensions, and given that there exists no a priori satisfactory weighting scheme to combine these dimensions into an overall rating for each products. In order to a, pp.y the DEA to evaluating the products, we must define two concepts, such as DMU(Decision Making Units) and input-output relationship. Finally, the suggested method in this study was validated through a case study of the electric jar, and this DEA a, pp.oach can be used in evaluating the other products with multi-attrribute quality.

The Impact of Customization of TV Home Shopping Mobile Applications on Service Quality and Customer Loyalty (TV 홈쇼핑 모바일 애플리케이션의 고객화가 서비스 품질 및 고객충성도에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구)

  • Purpose: We examine the impact of Customization of TV Home Shopping Mobile Applications on Service Quality and Customer Loyalty. Methods: We collect data by using survey and proposed relationships between latent variables using Structural Equations Modeling. Results: We find that Customization of TV Home Shopping Mobile Applications positively affect Service Quality and Customer Loyalty. In addition, service quality work as a mediate variable between Customization with Customer Loyalty. Conclusion: Our findings explain the significant relationships between each variables and hence it is necessary to consider Customization and Service Quality in order to achieve desired goal of enhancing business performance through mobile applications.
