성인들의 구강보건과 건강.삶의 질의 관련성 연구 - 영남지역 일부 주민들을 대상으로 - (Research about Relationship between the Quality of life, Oral Health and Total Health of adults)

  • The purpose of this research is to increase adults' quality of life by improving oral health. Total 572 people participated in this study in Young-Nam area. Survey research method was used to measure various tools of participants' general index, subjective view of oral health status, oral health knowledge, oral health practice, dietary pattern, OHIP-14, THI, QOL for analyzing the effect on quality of life. The result of the study is summarized as follows; 1. Oral health knowledge has positive effects on oral health practice (0.442), dietary pattern(0.343). Diet has positive effects on OHIP-14(0.187) and OHIP-14 has significant positive effects on THI(0.564). THI also has positive effects on QOL(0.380). But oral health practice index has slight effects on OHIP-14(0.056). 2. Indirect effect indexes on QOL are OHIP-14(0.214), diet(0.040), oral health knowledge(0.019), oral health practice(0.012) listed in order of effect size, and the biggest direct effect on QOL is from THI(0.308). The result of this study shows oral health and total health are important to improve the quality of life. And the knowledge about oral health dietary pattern should be important to improve oral health. But, even with high level of oral health knowledge, the oral health practice is at low level. Health education developing program should be needed. It is required to present basic data which represent adults with national view by extracting groups using sample probability methods as of next task of this study.

유아의 구강보건교육 프로그램 개발 (The Development of Preschool Oral Health Education Program)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a standardized preschool oral health education program as one of educational media and to apply it to preschool education. It's ultimately meant to help improve the oral health education policy of the nation toward young children and to provide multiple information on that. The subjects in this study were 250 young children who were at the age of 7 and attended kindergartens in the city of S. To evaluate an oral health education program prepared in the study, the selected young children were taught by using it, and a survey was conducted twice before offering education and three weeks after it to assess their knowledge. Besides, their patient hygiene performance was tested. For data handling, SPSS program was utilized, and in order to see if there would be any changes in their oral health behaviors, statistical data on percentage were obtained and crosstab was employed. To track any possible additional changes in their relevant knowledge and Simplified Oral Hygiene Index, t-test was implemented. The findings of the study were as follows: 1. As for changes in oral health behaviors, there were significant differences in tooth brushing time(p<0.05), tooth brushing method(p<0.01) and toothbrush keeping method(p<0.001) between before and after the education. 2. Regarding changes in oral health knowledge, there was a significant gap between before and after the education(p<0.001). In detail, their knowledge about the cause of dental caries(p<0.05), the right choice of toothbrush(p<0.001) and toothbrushing after meals(p<0.01) became significantly different. 3. There was no gap in patient hygiene performance index between before and after the education. 4. To boost the effect of oral health education on kindergarteners, it seems necessary to give a lecture on oral health, to demonstrate tooth brushing by using dntiform, and to offer instruction by utilizing disclosing solution. 5. Repeated education should be provided on a regular basis by preparing standardized teaching plans tailored to the characteristics of kindergarteners, and a wide variety of teaching materials that could be easy to understand, authentic and provide motivation to them should be developed.

노인의 소득 및 교육수준에 따른 구강건강행태와 구강건강 삶의 질 (Differences in oral health behavior and quality of life among the elderly depending on income and education levels)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study is to find out differences in oral health status, defined as their oral health and oral health quality of life among the elderly depending on their income and education levels. Methods: This study used 922 senior citizens over 65 from the data (2015) of the 6th National Health and Nutrition Survey (NHNS). The regression analysis was adopted to identify factors affecting their oral health status which has effect on their oral health quality of life. The statistical package SPSS 21.0 was employed. Frequency analysis, chi-squared analysis and regression analysis were used, and the significance level or Cronbach's alpha value was 0.05. Results: Depending on income levels, there were differences in their oral health status as to whether they use oral hygiene products, take dental examinations, join private health-insurances, and delay dental treatments or not. And educational levels also made significant differences in their oral health status as to whether they smoke, drink alcohol, how many times they brush teeth a day, whether they use oral hygiene products, take dental treatments, and join private health-insurances. Regression analysis on the relationship between their oral health status and the oral health quality of life showed that there were significant differences depending on whether they take dental treatments, delay dental medical treatments, smoke, take oral examinations, how many times they brush teeth a day, and whether they use oral hygiene products, or join private health-insurances. Conclusions: The study shows that a comprehensive plan is needed to raise attention on proper oral health-care and ultimately to improve the quality of life by considering the daily number of tooth brushing, oral hygiene product use, regular dental treatments, and other medical uses.

구강보건교육 진행 방식에 따른 초등학생의 치과공포지수 차이 (Comparison on Dental Anxiety according to the Type of Oral Health Education)

  • 본 연구는 초등학생을 대상으로 참여식 및 강의식 교육법의 구강보건교육이 치과공포지수에 미치는 영향을 알아보고, 치과공포를 줄일 수 있는 구강보건교육 방안을 마련하고자 하였다. 연구대상은 2014년 4월 D초등학교에 다니는 10세 아동으로, 의사소통이 가능하며 전신 질환이 없는 아동 총 40명을 대상으로 하였다. 본 연구는 구강보건교육을 시행하기 전, 각 교육군 연구대상자들에게 치과공포지수를 측정하기 위하여 자가기입 설문조사를 수행하였다. 그 후, 2주에 걸쳐 한 시간 가량의 구강보건교육을 총 2회 진행하였다. 참여식 교육군에는 소아치과에서 사용하는 행동조절방법인 체계적 탈감작법(Tell(말)-Show(시범)-Do(시행))을 적용하여 구강보건교육을 진행하였고, 강의식 교육군(대조군)에는 power point(PPT)를 이용한 교육방법으로 실시하였다. 2회 교육이 종료된 후, 각 군에서 교육 전 조사한 설문지와 동일한 설문지를 이용하여, 치과공포지수를 재측정하였다. 참여식 교육군에서는 교육 전 치과공포지수가 9.61점이었으나, 교육 후에 7.13점으로 유의하게 감소하였으나, 강의식 교육군은 교육 전 11.14점에서 교육 후 10.59점으로 조사되었다. 따라서, 참여식 교육방법을 적용하는 구강보건교육이 소아 청소년의 치과공포지수를 감소시키는데 효과적인 것으로 사료되었다.

다문화가정 결혼 이주여성의 구강건강신념 및 구강건강행태에 관한 조사 (A Study on the Oral Health Belief and Oral Health Behaviors of Marriage Immigrant Women in Multi-cultural Family)

  • Purpose. The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of oral health belief on oral health behaviors for marriage immigrant women in multi-cultural family and provide basic data that could help develop programs necessary to improve oral health awareness and change attitude. Method. Self-administered questionnaire was used in marriage migrant women using eight multi-cultural centers in Yeongnam region from October to December, 2013 and 256 copies were finally analyzed. The statistically analysis was performed using SPSS 18.0, with the statistical significance level set at p<.05. Results. As for the effects of oral health belief on oral health behaviors, the experience of scaling was affected by sensitivity(${\beta}=2.787$), by seriousness(${\beta}=.568$), and the experience of oral health education status was affected by seriousness(${\beta}=.214$), usefulness(${\beta}=.155$). Conclusions. It is necessary to analyze the effects of oral health belief on oral health behaviors, making positive efforts to develop preventive oral health management and oral health education programs, and make fundamental policies for improving oral health in multi-cultural family so that marriage immigrant women can make efficient oral health management.

일부 고등학교 3학년 남학생의 구강건강신념이 구강건강증진행위에 미치는 융합 요인 (Convergence Factors of Oral Health Belief in Some High School 3rd grade Boys on Oral Health Promotion Behavior)

  • 일부 고등학교 3학년 남학생의 구강건강신념이 구강건강증진행위에 미치는 융합요인 연구로서 2017년 11월 21일 구강보건교육 후 연구목적과 방법을 설명하고 동의한 학생 160명을 최종분석하였다. 일반적인 특성에 따른 구강건강신념과 구강건강증진행위는 t-test, one-way ANOVA, 상관관계는 Pearson's correlation test로 분석하였으며, 구강건강증진행위에 영향을 미치는 융합요인은 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 구강건강신념은 3.61점으로 유익성 4.06점으로 가장 높게 나타났으며, 구강건강증진행위는 3.25점이었다. 구강건강증진행위에 영향을 미치는 융합요인은 중요성(${\beta}=0.396$), 심각성(${\beta}=0.306$), 장애성(${\beta}=-0.170$), 감수성(${\beta}=-0.210$)으로 나타났다. 고등학생들의 구강건강신념을 변화시킬 수 있는 방안을 모색하고, 학교구강보건교육이 매우 중요하며, 구강건강증진행위를 위한 다양한 구강보건교육 프로그램이 개발되어야 한다.

Qraycam을 이용한 구강보건교육의 효과 (The effect of oral health education using Qraycam)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 Qraycam을 이용한 구강환경검사, 구강보건태도 및 구강건강관리 행동점수의 전 후비교를 통하여 구강보건교육의 효과를 분석하고자 하였으며, 단일집단 사전 사후 연구설계로 진행되었다. 2018년 9월부터 12월 중순까지 실험 중재를 위한 실습대상자 33명과 구강보건교육 선호도 조사를 위한 학생 33명을 연구대상으로 하였다. 자료의 분석은 IBM SPSS 24.0 Ver을 이용하였고, 통계적 검정을 위한 유의수준은 0.05로 하였다. 그 결과, Qraycam을 사용한 중재 전 후의 구강환경 검사인 O' Leary index와 구취농도는 유의하게 감소하였다(p<.001). 중재 전 후에 따른 구강보건태도 점수와 구강건강관리 행동점수는 통계적으로 유의하게 높게 나타났다(p<.001). 학생들의 구강보건교육 선호도 중 "구강보건교육에서 유용하다"와 "치태를 인지하고 결정하는 능력이 좋다"는 항목에서 Qraycam을 사용하는 경우 만족도는 유의하게 높게 나타났다(p<.001). 결론적으로, 치과임상현장에서 Qraycam 사용을 통한 구강보건교육은 치과위생사들의 구강보건교육 효과를 증진시키기 위한 방법이 될 수 있을 것이다.

병원 내 치과검진 수혜자의 구강건강인식 및 습관에 따른 구강건강상태 (Status of Oral Health in Relation to the Acknowledgement of Oral Health Trouble and Oral Health Habits in Recipients of Dental Screening in Hospital)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to analyze the status of oral health in relation to the acknowledgement of oral health trouble and oral health habits. Methods : This study was conducted after IRB was received, on 273 patients who had received health screenings between October-1, 2014 and January-31, 2015 at a general hospital in Busan. Results : Regarding the status of oral health in relation to the acknowledgement of oral health trouble, the rates of dental caries and periodontal disease were higher when the patients knew the reasons for trouble about the oral hygiene. With regard to oral health habits, our results showed that the more frequently the patients ate sugary snacks per day, the probability of experiencing periodontal disease was higher than for the patients who did not eat sugary snacks. Our results also, showed that the occurrence of dental caries is very much dependent upon whether a patient had experienced education on toothbrushing. Conclusions : Patients need to become more aware of their oral health through education. A program that emphasizes the importance of preventive oral health behaviors and the maintenance of correct oral health behavior should be developed.

잇솔질 교육 프로그램이 학령전기 아동의 구강건강에 미치는 효과 (Effect of a Tooth-brushing Education Program on Oral Health of Preschool Children)

  • Purpose: To examine the effect of tooth-brushing education on the oral health of preschoolers. Methods: A quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group was used. Two kindergartens were selected and 39 preschoolers from one kindergarten were assigned to the experimental group with tooth-brushing education and 39 from the other kindergarten to the control group. The tooth-brushing education program included 1 session on oral health education, individual tooth-brushing instruction for 1 week and supervised tooth-brushing after lunch for 4 weeks. Oral health behavior including use of tooth paste, tooth-brushing time and method of tooth-brushing, plague, streptococcus mutans, lactobacillus and dental caries were measured before and after the education. Fisher's exact test, t-test and paired t-test with the Window SAS 9.1 program were used to analyze the data. Results: A significant increase in the use of tooth paste, tooth-brushing time and the practice of correct tooth-brushing and a decrease in plague and development of dental caries were observed in the experimental group. Conclusion: This tooth-brushing education was partially effective in improving oral health of preschoolers.

일부 대학생의 기능적 구강건강문해력과 구강보건지식 및 구강보건행태에 관한 융합적 관계 (Convergent relationship between functional oral health literacy, oral health knowledge and oral health behavior of some university students)

  • 본 연구는 대학생을 대상으로 기능적 구강건강문해력과 구강보건지식 및 구강보건행태의 관련성을 조사하였다. K시 대학교에 재학 중인 학생 410명을 대상으로 2015년 6월 22일 부터 26일 까지 설문조사를 하였으며, 398명의 자료를 최종 분석 대상으로 하였다. 그 결과 구강보건교육을 받은 경험이 있는 학생은 281(70.6)명, 교육 받은 경험이 없는 학생은 117(29.4)명으로 나타났으며, 구강보건교육을 받을 때 교육 내용 및 설명이 여러 번 어려웠다는 학생은 194(48.7)명, 간혹 어려웠다는 128(32.2)명으로 나타났다. 기능적 구강건강문해력 점수는 절반 이상의 대학생이 낮게 나타났다. 기능적 구강건강문해력 점수가 높을수록 구강보건지식이 높게 나타나고, 구강보건지식이 기능적 구강건강문해력에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 대학생들의 낮은 기능적 구강건강문해력 향상을 위한 효과적인 구강보건지식 전달 프로그램이 개발되어야 한다.
