Questionnaires were used to measure the levels of the health & oral health recognition, experience and requirement of oral esthetic therapy. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, T-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, structural equating model by the PASW Statistics 18.0 program. According to the research result, oral health awareness were not healthier than general health. Oral health was an important factor to influence the external image. The flight attendant received aesthetic dental care to improve the external image. However, self-assessment results that oral health condition was significantly lower. Purpose. This study was conducted to analyze fatigue and subjective oral health status in the employees in educational institutions and provide basic data for the development of a program for the promotion of oral health. Methods. As for the subjects, this study conducted a survey with 468 educational personnel in elementary, middle, and high schools in the Daegu-Gyeongbuk area from March through June 2016 and utilized 407 copies finally. As for the items on the survey, this study conducted an investigation on their general characteristics, fatigue, and subjective oral health status(halitosis, xerostomia, temporomandibular disorder) with the self-administered method. With the data collected, this study conducted frequency analysis, t-test, ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis, using SPSS 20.0 statistical program, and the statistical significance level was .05. Results. As a result of this study, it turned out that by sex, fatigue was higher in women(4.59 points); by the place of work, those in 'elementary school' had higher fatigue(4.59 points); and by health condition and oral health status, most of them responded that they were 'not healthy'(4.81 and 4.84 points, respectively) and there was a statistically significant difference (p<.05). As for the correlation between fatigue and subjective oral health status, there were positive(+) impacts on halitosis(=.248, p<.001), xerostomia(=.097, p<.05), and temporomandibular disorder(=.148, p<.01), so it turned out that there was a correlation between fatigue and subjective oral health status. Conclusion. Based on the result of an analysis of the impacts of the fatigue level on subjective oral health status, it is judged that it would be necessary to continue to build up a program that can promote the oral health status of the educational personnel. In addition, it is necessary to conduct studies continuously for the development and application of a program for the change in lifestyle and behavior that can lower their fatigue.

Dyke-Davidoff-Masson syndrome is a non-inherited rare condition that presents during childhood and is characterized by seizures, hemiplegia, mental retardation, cerebral hemiatrophy, calvarial thickening, and hyperpneumatization of the frontal sinuses. The present article highlights a case of a 12-year-old male child with additional clinical findings of $caf{\acute{e}}$-au-late pigmentation and ocular lipodermoid. This is the first case report of DykeDavidoff-Masson syndrome to describe oral manifestations, such as unilateral delayed eruption of teeth, hypoplasia, and taurodontism, which could be unique and characteristic of this condition. Oral health care providers and physicians should be aware of these oral observations as dental referrals could warrant early dental prophylactic care and can be useful in diagnosing the possible time of injury and type of Dyke-Davidoff-Masson syndrome.
Chronic nonbacterial osteomyelitis(CNO) is histologically characterized by nonspecific osteitis. This inflammatory disorder, which lacks an infectious origin, typically presents with chronic pain and swelling at the affected site that can persist for months or even years. However, it is rare for CNO to affect the mandible. A 10-year-old girl presented with a primary complaint of pain in her left mandible. She had no significant medical or dental history. On examination, swelling was visible on the left buccal side, and imaging revealed radiolucent bone deterioration within the left mandible. This case report presents the radiological changes observed over a 12-year follow-up period. Variations in radiopacity, radiolucency, and periosteal reactions were noted periodically. This case highlights the radiological characteristics and findings that are crucial for the diagnosis of CNO, a condition for which no clear diagnostic criteria are currently available.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to reduce the burden on dental hygienists in performing dental hygiene processes in the clinic. This study systematically analyzed dental hygiene problems and dental hygiene planning according to the oral condition of patients by applying an oral health care program based on the dental hygiene process. Methods: This study analyzed influential factors of 17 dental hygiene problems and 12 dental hygiene plans according to the oral health index and charts of 185 patients. This study was approved by the Institutional Review Board (IRB No. 1041449-201801-HR-003) of Silla University. The frequency of dental hygiene problems and dental hygiene planning was analyzed and correlations among the oral health index, dental hygiene problems, and dental hygiene planning were analyzed. Results: The higher the bleeding on probing score was, the more scaling was planned. The higher the calculus rate was, the more air-jet and jaw joint disorder prevention education was planned. The higher the O'Leary index was, the more dietary education and air-jet was planned. The higher the Simplified Oral Hygiene Index was, the more air-jet and jaw joint disorder prevention education was planned. The higher the Periodontal Screening and Recording index was, the more scaling and professional tooth cleaning was planned (p<0.05). Conclusions: The burden of oral preventive duties on dental hygienists will be minimized by systematically establishing problems and planning of dental hygiene according to patients' oral health index scores. Therefore, it is expected that dental hygienist can actively use the dental hygiene process in oral health care programs.

Purpose: Depression is a condition that weakens psychosocial functioning and reduces quality of life. In Korea, the prevalence of depression among the elderly is 29.2% and depression is a considerable public health concern for the elderly. Depression has a statistically significant relationship with oral conditions such as number of teeth and salivary flow rate. Oral health-related quality of life (OHRQoL) is the concept including subjective evaluations of psychological, physical and social aspects of oral health. Tooth loss and hyposalivation can affect mental health and quality of life. Our study was designed to identify the relationship among the number of teeth, salivation, OHRQoL, and depressive symptoms in the elderly in Korea. Methods: We recruited 100 participants, aged over 65 years, and assessed their number of teeth, unstimulated salivary flow rate. All participants filled out oral health impact profile 14 (OHIP-14) and Zung self-rating depression score (SDS) for checking OHRQoL and depressive symptoms. Statistical analysis was done by R program. Results: We found that the positive relationship between OHIP-14 and SDS after Mann-Whitney test (p=0.03). The lower SDS group had an OHIP-14 median score of 4. On the other hand, the higher SDS group had a median value of 7.5. The other factors (number of teeth and salivary flow rate) did not show correlations with OHIP-14 or SDS. Conclusions: OHRQoL and depressive symptoms have significant correlation.
Objectives : The purpose of this study was to investigate the number of remaining natural teeth in elderly people visiting dental care services and the factors affecting dental visit. This study will contribute the development of oral health promotion programs for the elderly people. Methods : Subjects were 172 elderly people recruited from 217 senior citizens visiting public oral health care services in 16 districts in Busan. They completed self-Corresponding Author reported questionnaires. Results : Elderly people had less remaining natural teeth (p<0.001). The remaining natural teeth ($15.07{\pm}8.75$) of the health insurance beneficiary were majority than those of the medicaid ($8.78{\pm}8.45$)(p<0.001). The respondents with better oral health condition had more remaining natural teeth (r=0.317, p<0.001), and those who were more worried about oral health had less remaining natural teeth (r=-0.599, p<0.001). Aging accelerates loss of natural teeth (p<0.001) of 3.203. Approximately 2.188 remaining teeth will be preserved by oral health care improvement (p=0.009). Conclusions : Frequent dental clinic visit will prevent natural teeth loss in the elderly people. Toothbrushing is the most efficient method of oral health care in the elderly people. Awareness towards oral health care is the motivation to preserve natural teeth in the elderly people.
