고도산화공정을 이용한 반응성 염료의 제거 및 생태독성 저감 (Degradation and Ecotoxicity Reduction of Reactive Dye by Using Advanced Oxidation Process)

  • In this study, the deriving optimum conditions for decolorization of Acid Orange II solution was carried using $TiO_2$ advanced oxidation process. After that, on base of the deriving results, the range of dye concentration was estimated. In addition, acute toxicity test was also carried to assess toxicity unit according to decolorization and TOC removal. In case of the blockage of light, 20 mg/L of dye solution, and 0.5 g $TiO_2$, the effect of decolorization at pH 3 was larger than at pH 6 and 10, so it was shown that decolorization is dependent on pH. The use of 5 g $TiO_2$ showed best performance of decolorization, but that of 3 g $TiO_2$ was chosen to optimum condition in considering of economical aspects. Four light sources, sun, fluorescent lamp, BLB lamp, and UV-B lamp, were used and decolorization was 99.4% and 100% at 50 mg/L, 98.6% and 99.7% at 100 mg/L for sun and UV-B lamp, respectively. In spite of the optimum condition of decolorization at pH 3, the evaluation of acute toxicity test showed highly toxic. In conclusion, although the optimum treatment of dye solution is performed, water ecology can be polluted in discharging it into water system. Therefore, it is needed to study of water ecological system with dye water treatment, and it takes all the circumstances into consideration.

Phellinus pini의 배양적 특성과 자실체형성 (Cultural Characteristics and Fruitbody Formation of Phellinus pini)

  • Phellinus pini는 진흙버섯속(Phellinus)에 속하는 버섯으로 진흙버섯속 버섯 중에서 항암저지율이 가장 높다고 알려져 있다(중국본초도감). 온도별 배양결과 $25^{\circ}C$에서 34 mm/14일(PDA배지)로 생육이 가장 좋았고 배지별 시험에서는 PDA 배지에서 30mm/10일, MCM 배지에서 28mm/10일로 나타났으며 pH $5{\sim}6$에서 균사생장이 양호하였다. 시험관을 이용한 톱밥배지 배양에서는 참나무톱밥+버드나무톱밥 +미강(4.5:4.5:1)과 참나무톱밥+소나무톱밥+미강(4.5:4.5:1)에서 균사생장이 가장 빨랐고 균사밀도는 참나무톱밥+미강(9:1)과 소나무톱밥+미강(9:1) 배지가 가장 높았다. 참나무원목에 접종한 결과 접종 60일 경과시 원목내 균사생장은 40 mm로 나타났으며 균사활착율은 26%정도였고 최초 발이 소요기간은 접종 후 110일 정도로 나타났다.

응집·한외여과 공정에서 응집조건 결정에 관한 연구 (Effect of Coagulation Condition on Coagulation/Ultrafiltration Membrane Process)

  • In this research, coagulation was employed as the pretreatment for membrane process. The effective coagulation conditions were decided after the discussion of different coagulant doses and mixing conditions, etc. Raw water was taken from Nakdong River. The best operation occurred when G value was $230s^{-1}$ and the slow mixing lasted around 5 minutes at G value was $23s^{-1}$. To investigate the optimum coagulant dosage, the optimum organics removal was target as organic removal reduces membrane fouling effectively than particle removal. This result indicated that organics are more important causes than turbidity for membrane fouling. However, turbidity becomes an important factor after certain amount of organic matters is removed.

  • 본 논문은 실내 환경에서의 WATM 에러 제어를 위한 최적 기술을 제안하였다. 최적 기술에서는, 기존의 concatenated FEC 기법만을 AWGN에서 실시간 서비스가 중요한 ATM 트래픽을 위한 효과적인 에러 제어 기술로 간주될 수 있지만 페이딩 환경에서는 concatenated FEC에 파일롯 심볼을 이용한 페이딩 보상이 WATM 성능을 최적화하는데 필요하다. 또한, truncated Type-II hybrid ARQ 기술은 처리량 개선을 위한 서비스 품질이 중요한 AW 트랙픽을 위해서 개발되어질 것이다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 이를 각각의 기법에 대한 이론 및 시뮬레이션 평가를 수행하여 실내 환경에서의 WATM 성능의 최적화를 모색하였다.

  • In this discussion, an optimum ozone control strategy for the city of Seoul is discussed based on the OZIPR simulation results for three cases. It is claimed that, for the periods we have simulated, it is best to decrease VOCs emissions and increase NO$_{x}$ emissions to reduce the ambient maximum ozone concentration.n.

Simplified method to design laterally loaded piles with optimum shape and length

  • Optimum shape and length of laterally loaded piles can be obtained with different optimization techniques. In particular, the Fully Stress Design method (FSD) is an optimality condition that allows to obtain the optimum shape of the pile, while the optimum length can be obtained through a transversality condition at the pile lower end. Using this technique, the structure is analysed by finite elements and shaped through the FSD method by contemporarily checking that the transversality condition is satisfied. In this paper it is noted that laterally loaded piles with optimum shape and length have some peculiar characteristics, depending on the type of cross-section, that allow to design them with simple calculations without using finite element analysis. Some examples illustrating the proposed simplified design method of laterally loaded piles with optimum shape and length are introduced.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the performance of heating equipments by implementing the extreme environment in which ships navigating the ice zone are exposed and to study and apply the experimental method to infer the optimized design for each factors. Methods: It is required to verify by analysis and experiment how the environment with low temperature and wind speed implemented through the test facility affects the heating walk-way and The optimum design of the heating walk-way in that extreme environment is derived using the Taguchi technique. Results: The results of this study are as follows; It was found the effect on the condition of each factor and derive optimized conditions that satisfy the performance condition of the heating walk-way in extreme use environment. Conclusion: Ships operating in Polar waters require reliable and durable facilities for all environments during sailing.

학교 교실의 천장형 에어컨 토출각도에 따른 온열환경 해석 (Thermal Environment Analysis by the Diffusion Direction with Ceiling Type Air Conditioner of the Classroom)

  • It is necessary to develop new air-conditioning method which can be satisfied individual separated space and request of occupants. The indoor thermal environment and flow field are investigated both experimentally and numerically. This study concentrated on analysis of indoor thermal environment by diffusion direction of ceiling type air conditioner of the classroom. The velocity and temperature distribution of air in the room calculated by 3-dimensional method, which include the effect of insulation of the building and outdoor state. This analysis shows that optimum diffusion direction is $30^{\circ}$ to increase thermal comfort in winter and optimum diffusion direction is $15^{\circ}$ to increase thermal comfort in summer.
