하우징 제품의 가스사출성형에 관한 연구 (A Study on Gas-assisted Injection Molding in Housing Molded Parts)

  • This study focuses on part quality and cycle times under gas-assisted injection molding(GIM) of housing molded parts. The position of the gas channel was estabished near to parting line at the end of last locations to fill. Applied hot runner and valve gates the gas was introduced directly into the mold cavity via gas pin. As GIM was applied the introduced directly into the mold cavity via gas pin. As GIM was applied the conclusion reached as follows. I) The quality of appearance was improved by reducing sink marks and scratches of texture ii) The realibility was improved by preventing warpages and reinforcing rigidity through optimum gas channel layout iii)It is enable to use small size of injection molding machine step by step as GIM was accomplished low pressure and reduced clamp forces against CIM iv)The productivity were improved by reducing cycle times.

  • In order to keep the zero defect of production in press working process. The optimum design of the production part, strip process layout, die design, die making and try out etc. are necessary the analysis of effective factors. For example, theory and practice of metal shearing process and it's phenomena, die structure, machine tool working for die making, die materials and it's heat treatment, metal working in field, their know how tc. are included in those factors. In this study, we analyzed whole of data base, theoretical back ground of metal working process, and then performed the progressive die tryout with the screw press. Part 2 of this study reveals with precision progressive die design, its making and tryout.

Optimum Design of Packaged Skid for Oil & Gas Plant

  • The use of packaged skid in oil and gas plant has increased dramatically over the decades, replacing loose supply equipment. Most equipment is installed on structural skid in manufacturer's shop. As Oil and Gas Plants are constructed at inaccessible area, the demands of packaged skids are increased. The packaged skid have advantages comparing to loose supply equipment in inaccessible area. The packaged skid is small complex plant consists of process, mechanical, piping, instrument, electrical and structural steel. This paper examines advantages and problems of packaged skid, based on previous experience. EPC company consider key factors such as manufacturing period, construction periods, equipment quality and costs.

  • In general there occur warpage in one way long part. Warpage is caused by differential shrinkage-Orientation Effect, Volumetric Shrinkage Effect, Differential Cooling Effect -over the part. Deco-Top is located at the top of 29"TV set and it's shape is one way long$(626{\times}130mm)$. Material is used transparency ABS resin. So we can't design ribs in this part. And we use film gate to avoid weld line. In these reasons we must develop no ribs and no warpage product. In this study we use MOLDFLOW's software-MF/FLOW, MF/COOL, MF/WARP. Using MF/FLOW, set the flow balance and gate positioning. And we can set cooling channel layout and the optimum processing condition through MF/COOL and MF/WARP. In result we reduced trials and obtained good product.

Hybrid PSO and SSO algorithm for truss layout and size optimization considering dynamic constraints

  • A hybrid approach of Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and Swallow Swarm Optimization algorithm (SSO) namely Hybrid Particle Swallow Swarm Optimization algorithm (HPSSO), is presented as a new variant of PSO algorithm for the highly nonlinear dynamic truss shape and size optimization with multiple natural frequency constraints. Experimentally validation of HPSSO on four benchmark trusses results in high performance in comparison to PSO variants and to those of different optimization techniques. The simulation results clearly show a good balance between global and local exploration abilities and consequently results in good optimum solution.

자동창고 시스템의 최적안 도출을 위한 모의실험적 연구 (A Simulation Study for Optimizing the Functionality of an Automated Storage and Retrieval System)

  • The functional role of warehouses in modern industry is changing from an established concept of storage to a concept of circulation. The target of this study is to improve the stacker crane's efficiency for the internal operations of the Automated Storage and Retrieval System (AS/RS). Eight operating schemes are proposed under the combination of three conditions, namely, the storing method, the layout type, and the sequence of command execution. The moving distance of the stacker crane is calculated using the same gateway data through a simulation based on a C# program. The optimal operating scheme is proposed based on the analyzed simulation results. In conclusion, the combination of conditions of random storage, two-way type warehouse, and dual command execution elicits optimum results in travel efficiency for the stacker crane.

Analysis of M-WiMAX Uplink Capacity with Receive Beamforming and Adjacent Channel Interference from WCDMA Downlink

  • In this paper, we analyze the M-WiMAX UL capacity limits under 2-Tier cell layout, considering the effects of random user position, path loss models, fading channel and adjacent channel interference from WCDMA system. In order to make the analysis approximate to the practical system capacity, we propose a MCS-based capacity analysis method considering the effects of PER requirement and the utilized MCS levels in M-WiMAX system. The proposed MCS-based method is validated through a system-level Monte Carlo simulation. Furthermore, a comparison between the conventional Shannon method and the proposed MCS-based method is presented and the optimum cell radius is suggested.

  • A problem of relevant interest to some industries is that of optimum two-dimensional layout. The objective of this work is to allocate the shapes on a sheet in such a way to minimize the amount of waste. A nesting software has been developed to help user arrange the 2D parts effectively. It provides various functions, e.g., transformation, distance-check, NC post-processor, etc. This software is developed in X window system with C langusge. Final goal of this software is generating NC code data of the 2D parts on the sheet that can be directly used in NC machines.

  • In order to reduce the noise of BLDC motor, a systematic optimization procedure for rotor structure is presented. The noise index is defined as the sum of volume velocity of FE-model that are calculated at the dominant frequencies during dehydration process, which is based on the principle of radiation simple volume source. Then, the five design variables are selected to represent the shape and layout or rotor structure. This discrete design optimization problem for minimizing the noise index is solved by 3-level orthogonal array based effect analysis. Finally, the response surface method (RSM) combined optimization approach is employed for more refining the approximate optimum.
