대심도 지하정거장에서 수직구 위치에 따른 수치적 연구 (NUMERICAL STUDY WITH VENT SHAFT POSITION IN UNDERGROUND STATION)

  • When a high-speed train passes an underground station, large pressure waves are generated due to the piston effect. These pressure waves can cause the problems of vibration and noise as well as the ear discomfort of passengers at the underground station. This work numerically analyzed the pressure wave generation and propagation in an high-speed railway underground station, and the optimal location for vent shafts was studied to improve the passenger comfort by reducing the magnitude of the pressure wave and its rate of change. The evolution of pressure field in the underground station was calculated using a CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics) software(Fluent), where the axis-symmetric two-dimensional model verified by Wu was used. And this study is applied to modelling of the underground station and the tunnel from Daegok station A-line of GTX(Great Train Express). From the result, we can have a conclusion that the role of vent shafts respectively were different according to the position in and out the underground station. Also Vent shaft in the underground station widely reduced pressure magnitude. And vent shaft out underground station reduced initial pressure peak value. Double vent shafts installed at tunnel toward station entrance and inside of the tunnel are the most efficient to reduce pressure. and pressure reduction increases according to the number of vent shaft.

  • In order to reduce NOx emissions in the 20kw class microturbines under development, the low NOx characteristics, as being an application to the lean premixed combustion technology, have been investigated. The study has been conducted at the conditions of high temperature and pressure. Air from a compressor with the temperature of 500K to 650K and the pressure of 0.3bar gauge to 0.7bar gauge, was supplied to the combustor through an air preheat-treatment. Sampling exhaust gases were measured at the immediate exit of the combustor. for the effect of temperature on NO and CO emissions. though NOx was increased, CO was decreased with increasing inlet air temperature. With increasing inlet air pressure, NOx and CO were increased also. NOx was decreased, but CO was increased with increasing inlet air mass flow rate. The test has been performed on the equivalent ratios of 0.10 to 0.25 in a lean region. NOx was increased with increasing equivalent ratios, but CO was decreased as an influence of flame temperature. In the very lean region of the equivalent ratio below 0.12, CO was increased suddenly, due to instability. As the results of this study, NOx and CO are found to be reduced to the similar level at the same time when operated at optimal conditions.

가스압 소결(GPS) 조건이 질화규소의 기계적 특성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of gas pressure sintering (GPS) conditions on the mechanical properties of silicon nitride)

  • $Si_3N_4$에 2 wt% $Al_2O_3$와 6 wt% $Y_2O_3$을 첨가한 분말을 가스압소결 방법으로 시편을 제조하였다. 이때 소결시 조건(온도, 압력, 시간) 변화에 대한 기계적 특성 변화를 비교하였다. 이때 나타난 결과에 의하면 $1900^{\circ}C$, 3 MPa에서 1시간 동안 유지시켰을 때 최적의 조건을 갖는다는 것을 보여주었다. 이는 온도를 높여 주거나 유지 시간을 길게 하였을 때 입자 조대화에 의해 기계적 특성이 떨어지는 것을 볼 수 있었다. 그러나 압력을 증가시킬 때에는 미세한 조직을 가지므로 기계적 특성은 좋아짐을 나타내지만 파괴 인성이 떨어지는 것을 볼 수 있었다. 이로 인해 소결시 최적의 조건을 찾는 것이 중요함을 알 수 있었다.

자동차 ESP 유압 모듈레이터의 수격 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Pulsation Characteristics of ESP Hydraulic Modulator)

  • 본 연구에서는 유압이 작용하는 유압 모듈레이터의 솔레노이드 밸브에 대한 동특성을 실험과 수학적 방법을 이용하여 해석하였다. 마스터 실린더에 작용하는 유압이 솔레노이드 밸브 동특성에 미치는 영향을 해석하였다. 유압장치에서 수격 압력은 소음과 진동 등과 같은 악 영향을 유발하게 된다. 이 수격 압력을 축소시키기 위하여 20kHz 대역의 고속 PWM 제어 방법을 도입하였다. 한편으로, 본 해석을 통하여 자동차 총합자세제어장치에서 발생되는 전자력과 유압 특성을 제안할 수 있었다. 결론적으로, 솔레노이드 밸브의 동특성 해석을 통하여 자동차 전자식 안정화 장치에 대한 제어 기준으로 활용할 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

흉부X선사진(胸部X線寫眞)에 나타나는 감감현상(減感現象)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (A Study on Appearances of Desensitized Phenomenon in Chest Roentgenography)

  • Roentgenographic film has to be handled with greatest care during removal from the packing, loading of the cassettes and loading of the hanger. In the case of prior to or after exposed film is handled with mechanical pressure in darkroom, the most common phenomena are desensitization or sensitization on roentgenographic film. In order to observe these defect occurring on, it, the author studied on change of the densities where the mechanical pressure reached to the roentgenographic film. 1. The optimal minimum and maximum densities in routine chest x-ray film are from 0.25 to 1.47 2. The dependence of the desensitization occurring on film upon the bent degree of film is in the portion to bent degree over $10^{\circ}$ 3. Appearances of the desensitization on film by the curved degree of film is inverse proportion to it's degree below intervals of 3cm. 4. The more unexposed film is bent with nail tip and is pressured with palm, the more desensitization it was appeared upon film size and pressure weight. 5. The most serious area of desensitization produced by many types of mechanical pressure is in the portion of lung apex and outside lung fields. 6. The tendency of desensitization due to mechanical pressure on unexposed film is more serious than sensitization on exposed film in the view of radiologic diagnosis.

대용량 인휠 모터용 중공축 냉각유로의 형상 최적화에 관한 연구 (A Study on Shape Optimization of Cooling Channel in Hollow Shaft for In-wheel Motor)

  • For the proper cooling of in-wheel motor, the cooling channel should have the characteristics which are low pressure drop and adequate cooling oil supply to motor part. In this study, the flow performance of cooling channel for in-wheel motor was evaluated and the shape of the channel was optimized. First, the pressure drop and flow distribution characteristics of the initial channel model were evaluated using numerical analysis. Also, by the result of analysis and design modification, 4 design parameters of the channel were selected. Second, using the Taguchi optimal method, the cooling channel was optimized. In the method, nine models with different levels of the design parameters were generated and the flow characteristics of each models was estimated. Base on the result, the main effect of the design parameters was founded and optimized model was obtained. For the optimized model, the pressure drop and oil flow rate were about 0.196 bar and 0.207 L/min, respectively. The pressure drop decreased by about 0.3 bar and the oil flow rate to the motor part increased by about 0.2 L/min compared to the initial model.

비강압력신호를 이용한 수면호흡장애 환자의 수면/각성 분류 (Classification of Sleep/Wakefulness using Nasal Pressure for Patients with Sleep-disordered Breathing)

  • This study proposes the feasibility for automatic classification of sleep/wakefulness using nasal pressure in patients with sleep-disordered breathing (SDB). First, SDB events were detected using the methods developed in our previous studies. In epochs for normal breathing, we extracted the features for classifying sleep/wakefulness based on time-domain, frequency-domain and non-linear analysis. And then, we conducted the independent two-sample t-test and calculated Mahalanobis distance (MD) between the two categories. As a results, $SD_{LEN}$ (MD = 0.84, p < 0.01), $P_{HF}$ (MD = 0.81, p < 0.01), $SD_{AMP}$ (MD = 0.76, p = 0.031) and $MEAN_{AMP}$ (MD = 0.75, p = 0.027) were selected as optimal feature. We classified sleep/wakefulness based on support vector machine (SVM). The classification results showed mean of sensitivity (Sen.), specificity (Spc.) and accuracy (Acc.) of 60.5%, 89.0% and 84.8% respectively. This method showed the possibilities to automatically classify sleep/wakefulness only using nasal pressure.

리드프레임 블랭킹 공정설계를 위한 전단영향인자의 실험적 평가 (An Experimental Evaluation of the Influences of Shearing Factors for the Process Design of Lead Frame Blanking)

  • An experiment is carried out to investigate the influences of shearing characteristic factors for the process design of lead frame blanking in copper alloy C194(t=0.205mm). 3 process parameters, e.g., clearance between die and punch, strip holding pressure, and bridge allowance are selected for this study. From the basis condition 6% clearance, 20N/$mm^2$, and 1.5t bridge allowance the seven times of experiment are done by varying the each factor. The square shape specimen is used to study the characteristics of shearing factors. The ratios of roll over, burnish, fracture zone are measured after blanking. The experimental analysis shows that the burnish ratio is decreased as the clearance increases. And the larger strip holding pressure is shown that the roll over and burnish ratio are both decreased. It is found that an optimal strip holding pressure is need for large burnish zone. Finally it is shown that the bridge allowance is less affected than clearance and strip holding pressure.

  • A laboratory-scale electrodewatering system for enhancing conventional filter pressure dewatering by an electric field has been developed to decrease the water content of sludge generated in the wastewater treatment. It consists of a piston-typed filter press, a power supply and data acquisition system. The offset of electrodewatering is investigated as a function of applied pressure, applied voltage, sludge type and filtration time. Also the optimal conditions for maximizing the dewatering efficiency in the eletrodewatering system are investigated. Electric field strength and mechanical pressure are in the range of from 0 to 120 V/cm and from 98.1 to 392.4 kPa. The dewatering rates increased with increasing electric strength. These experiments produced a final sludge cake with water content of 60 wt% using electrodewatering technology, compared with a 80 wt% using pressure filtration alone. The conventional filtration system using the electrodewatering shows the potential to be effective method for improving dewatering Sludge.

CNG압력용기의 열처리 조건별 파열 특성에 관한 실증적 연구 (An Empirical Study on the Bursting Properties According to Heat Treatment Condition of the CNG Pressure Vessel)

  • Forensic Engineering is the art and science of professionals qualified to serve as engineering experts in courts of law or in arbitration proceedings. Buses using compressed natural gas (CNG) trend to be extended in use internationally as optimal counterplan for reducing discharge gas of light oil due to high concern about environment. However, CNG buses is equipped with composite pressure vessels (CPVs); since the CPVs contain compressed natural gas, the risks in the case of accident is very high. In this study, the bursting test for the pressure vessel depending on the heat treatment conditions of the vessel in which the actual ruptured accident occurred, after the bursting test, the fracture pattern analysis had performed. The mechanical materials properties test using Instrumented Indentation Test had performed to confirm the mechanical properties for each heat treatment cases. Also, the fractography analysis and metallographic analysis had performed to find out the difference of each heat treatment case. By comparing normal vessel with abnormal vessel which have defect of heat treatment conditions in term of the bursting patterns and characteristics of containers using various forensic engineering methods, especially, it is possible to understand how important the heat treatment process is in the high pressure vessel unlike any product.
