광디스크 드라이브를 위한 강인 제어기 설계 (Robust Servo System for Optical Disk Drive Systems)

  • This paper proposes a new and simple input prediction method for robust servo system. A robust tracking control system for optical disk drives was proposed recently based on both Coprime Factorization (CF) and Zero Phase Error Tracking (ZPET) control. The CF control system can be designed simply and systematically. Moreover, this system has not only stability but also robustness to parameter uncertainties and disturbance rejection capability. Since optical disk tracking servo system can detect only tracking error, it was proposed that the reference input signal for ZPET could be estimated from tracking errors. In this paper, we propose a new control structure for the ZPET controller. It requires less memory than the previously proposed method for the reference signal generation. Numerical simulation results show that the proposed method is effective.

  • A new multi-beam optical system is presented on the grounds of tri-positioning systems in this paper. The system has been developed to improve the data transfer rate for the optical disk system. The actuating system is composed of a tracking and focusing actuating system basically and a newly developed beam rotating actuator. The beam rotating actuator is employed in a multi-beam optical system to trace more than one track simultaneously. The multi-beam optics is established through the optical simulation and several experimental trials. The differential phase tracking method is used in the tracking error signal detection based on the only one beam spot. We also analyze the characteristics of multi-beam optical system. The experimental result shows that the multi-beam positioning system has performance adequate to the multi-beam optical disk system.

Since optical disk tracking servo systems can detect only racking error, it was proposed that the reference input signal for ZPET could be estimated from tracking errors. In this paper, we propose a new control structure for the ZPET controller. It requires less memory than the previously proposed method for the reference signal generation. Therefore, it is very effective in runout control. Furthermore, this method can be applied to defective optical disk like surface defects on disk. Numerical simulation and experimental result show the proposed method effective.

  • In this paper as a new approach for real-time multitarget tracking, a hybrid OptoNeural multitarget tracking system based on optical BJTC and neural networks data association algorithm is suggested. In the proposed hybrid tracking system, an optical BJTC is introduced as a preprocessor to reduce the massive input target data into a few correlation peak signals and then the neural networks data association algorithm is used for the massively parallel data association between measurement signals and targets in real-time. Finally, new hybrid type OptoNeural target tracking system is constructed and then some experimental results on multitarget tracking is included. The real-time implementation method of the proposed hybrid system is also discussed.

삼각측량기법을 이용한 광학추적장치의 상악골 변위 계측에 대한 정확성 검증 (Accuracy Verification of Optical Tracking System for the Maxillary Displacement Estimation by Using of Triangulation)

  • Purpose: Triangulation is the process of determining the location of a point by measuring angles to it from known points at either end of a fixed baseline. This point can be fixed as the third point of a triangle with one known side and two known angles. The aim of this study was to find a clinically adaptable method for applying an optical tracking navigation system to orthognathic surgery and to estimate its accuracy of measuring the bone displacement by use of triangulation methods. Methods: In orthognathic surgery, the head position is not fixed as in neurosurgery, so that a head tracker is needed to establish the reference point on the head surface byusing an optical tracking system. However, the operation field is interfered by its bulkiness that makes its clinical use difficult. To solve this problem, we designed a method using an Aquaplast splinting material and a mini-screw in applying a head tracker on a patient's forehead. After that, we estimated the accuracy of measuring displacements of the ball marker by an optical tracking system with a conventional head tracker (Group A) and with a newly designed head tracker (Group B). Measured values of ball markers' displacements by each optical tracking system were compared with values obtained from fusion CT images for an estimation of accuracy. Results: The accuracy of the optical tracking system with a conventional head tracker (Group A) is not suitable for clinical usage. Measured and predictable errors are larger than 10 mm. The optical tracking system with a newly designed head tracker (Group B) shows 1.59 mm, 6.34 mm, and 9.52 mm errorsin threeclinical cases. Conclusion: Most errors were brought on mainly from a lack of reproducibility of the head tracker position. The accuracy of the optical tracking system with a newly designed head tracker can be a useful method in further orthognathic navigation surgery even though the average error is higher than 2.0 mm.

  • 나로우주센터에서는 우주발사체의 비행임무 초기구간 동안에 발사체의 거리 및 속도정보를 획득하기 위해서 광학추적장비에 거리측정 도플러 레이더를 탑재하여 운용하고 있다. 본 논문은 광학추적장비의 MFCW(Multi Frequency Continuous Wave)방식과 FMCW(Frequency Modulation Continuous Wave)방식 도플러 레이더 구성과 거리측정 방법을 기술하였다.

  • Tracking system is essential for Image Guided Surgery(IGS). Optical Tracking System(OTS) is widely used to IGS for its high accuracy and easy usage. However, OTS doesn't work when occlusion of marker occurs. In this paper sensor data fusion with OTS and Inertial Navigation System(INS) is proposed to solve this problem. The proposed system improves the accuracy of tracking system by eliminating gaussian error of the sensor and supplements the disadvantages of OTS and IMU through sensor fusion based on Kalman filter. Also, sensor calibration method that improves the accuracy is introduced. The performed experiment verifies the effectualness of the proposed algorithm.

시험장 환경에 적합한 소형 광학추적기 설계 (Design of Small Optical Tracker for Use in the Proving Ground)

  • 광학계측분야는 레이더 계측이 어려운 저고도 구간의 계측을 담당하여 비행체 추적에 있어서 중요한 역할을 차지하고 있다. 기존의 광학추적시스템은 외국의 장비를 도입해 사용하고 있기 때문에 시험장 상황에 적합하게 수정하기 어렵고, 대부분 차량 탑재형으로 제작되어 있어 계측 장소에 제한이 있다. 자체 개발 소형 광학추적기는 이러한 단점을 보완하기 위해서 단순한 구성으로 설계하여 시험장 내 어떠한 장소에서도 설치하여 운용할 수 있는 것을 주목적으로 하였다. 뿐만 아니라 인공지능 기술을 적용한 광학추적기술 연구를 위해서 자체 개발 광학추적기를 보유할 필요성이 제기되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 소형 광학추적기의 설계 개념, 기본적인 추적기능 구현을 위한 장비의 구성, 그리고 비행체 특성에 맞는 환경설정을 위한 시뮬레이션을 진행하였다. 이를 위해 팬/틸트의 입출력 데이터를 사용하여 모델링을 구하였으며, 시뮬레이션을 통해 얻어진 결과와 실제 비행시험 결과를 비교하여 전반적인 시뮬레이션의 구성에 대한 타당성을 검증하였다.

광추적기와 내부 비전센서를 이용한 수술도구의 3차원 자세 및 위치 추적 시스템 (3D Orientation and Position Tracking System of Surgical Instrument with Optical Tracker and Internal Vision Sensor)

  • When surgical instruments are tracked in an image-guided surgical navigation system, a stereo vision system with high accuracy is generally used, which is called optical tracker. However, this optical tracker has the disadvantage that a line-of-sight between the tracker and surgical instrument must be maintained. Therefore, to complement the disadvantage of optical tracking systems, an internal vision sensor is attached to a surgical instrument in this paper. Monitoring the target marker pattern attached on patient with this vision sensor, this surgical instrument is possible to be tracked even when the line-of-sight of the optical tracker is occluded. To verify the system's effectiveness, a series of basic experiments is carried out. Lastly, an integration experiment is conducted. The experimental results show that rotational error is bounded to max $1.32^{\circ}$ and mean $0.35^{\circ}$, and translation error is in max 1.72mm and mean 0.58mm. Finally, it is confirmed that the proposed tool tracking method using an internal vision sensor is useful and effective to overcome the occlusion problem of the optical tracker.
