과실수확(果實收穫) 로보트에 관(關)한 연구(硏究)(I) -머니퓰레이터와 제어시스템 개발- (Development of a Fruit Harvesting Robot(I) -Development of a Manipulator and its Control System-)

  • This study was carried out to develop an agricultural robot for fruit harvesting. As the first step an experimental manipulator and its control system were constructed. The articulated manipulator driven by DC motors has 3 degrees-of-freedom. The manipulator has a gripper adequate for fruit harvesting and an upper arm which forms a kind of guiding channel so thai harvested fruit can pass through. Point-to-point control of joints are accomplished by a digital control system with a PID controller which consists of optical shaft encoders, power amplifiers using PWM, a microcomputer and a software. The microcomputer also computes the positions of manipulator and sequence of motions. The motion of the manipulator was to slow and rough that it would need further improvement.

An Analog Encoder for Precise Angle Control of SRM

  • In a switched reluctance motor drive, it is important to synchronize the stator phase excitation with the rotor position, because the position of rotor is an essential information. Although high resolution optical encoders or resolvers are used to provide a precise position information, these sensors are expensive. Moreover, in the high-speed region, switching angles are fluctuated back and forth out of the preset value, which is caused by the sampling period of the microprocessor. In this paper, a low cost analog encoder suitable for practical applications is proposed. And the control algorithm to generate switching signals using a Simple digital logic is presented. The validity of the proposed analog encoder with a proper logic controller is verified from the experiments.

  • In switched reluctance motor(SRM) drive, it is necessary to synchronize the stator phase excitation with the rotor position. Therefore the rotor position information is an essential. Usually optical encoders or resolvers are used to provide the rotor position information. These sensors are expensive and are not suitable for high speed operation. In the paper, the low cost linear encoder suitable for the practical and stable SRM drive is proposed and the control algorithm to provide the switching signals using the simple digital logic circuit is also presented in this paper. It is verified from the experiments that the proposed encoder and logic controller can be a powerful candidate for the practical low cost SRM drive.

유전자 알고리즘을 이용한 트랙킹 진동량 추정 시스템 (A Tracking Vibration Estimation System Using a Genetic Algorithm)

  • This paper presents a tracking vibration estimation system of the track-following system using a tracking loop gain adjustment algorithm and a genetic algorithm. The algorithms are introduced to estimate accurately the tracking vibration quantity in spite of the uncertainties of the tracking actuator. An estimated actuator model can be found by applying a genetic algorithm. Accordingly, the tracking vibration quantity can be estimated from the measured tracking error, the tracking controller and the estimated actuator model. The proposed tracking vibration estimation method is applied to the track-following system of an optical recording device and is evaluated through the experimental result.

  • This paper shows a new concept of digital power meter based on the optical sensing technique. The digital power meter with isolate IC so called Photocoupler is designed and implemented. The system composed of power and analong interface circuits, micro-controller and LCD display circuits. The most errors in power meter happen on measurement and calculation process for load voltages and currents. The suggested method on this paper is to use no noise sensor and PIC microprocessor. The results of simple test for power meter prototype are showed a nearly similar date to commercial product.

  • MSC(Multi-Spectral Camera) which is a unique payload for KOMPSAT-2, comprises main three subsystems of PMU(Paylaod Management Unit), EOS(Electro -Optical Subsystem) and PDTS(Payload Data Transmission Subsystem). The PMU, as a main controller of MSC, performs major tasks such as interfacing with S/C(Space Craft), controlling the MSC operation, distributing and controlling of operating power to all MSC including thermal unit, etc. In this paper the H/W configurations as well as the functions of PMU are introduced and possible changes for the future development are suggested.

RTK-GPS 기반의 김포공항 이동지역 차량통제 시스템 개발방안 연구 (A Study on the Development of AVCS(Airside Vehicle Control System) in Gimpo Airport Based on RTK-GPS)

  • The development of Airside Vehicle Control System(AVCS) at Gimpo Airport aims to reduce ground safety accidents in movement area and improve airport operation efficiency and safety management service quality. The vehicle is controlled by a brake controller RTK-antenna and On-Board Diagonostics(OBD) module. Location data is transmitted to a nearby communication base station through a Wi-Fi router and the base station is connected to the AVCS by an optical cable to transmit location data from each vehicle. The vehicle position is precisely corrected to display information using the system. The system allows airport operators to view registered information on aircraft and vehicles and monitor their locations speeds and directions in real time. When a vehicle approaches a dangerous area alarm warnings and remote brake control are possible to prevent accidents caused by carelessness of the driver in advance.

  • We present the control software and its development process for a prototype of the Camera and Grating Articulation System (CGAS) for GMACS, a wide-field, multi-object, moderate-resolution optical spectrograph for the Giant Magellan Telescope (GMT). The CGAS prototype is currently designed for the camera articulation controller as a miniature model of the GMACS. The camera articulation package (CAP) is a software that controls two stepper motors to adjust the camera angle. The package is developed using Visual C++ and runs on Windows 10. We discuss the architectural design and communication route between the high-end user software and the electronics hardware.

우주환경모사를 위한 대형열진공챔버 국산화 구축 (Domestic Construction of a Large Thermal Vacuum Chamber for Space Environment Simulation)

  • 차세대 대형위성에 대한 우주환경모사를 위한 대형열진공챔버가 한국항공우주연구원에 의해 성공적으로 국산화 구축되었다. 유효직경 8미터, 유효깊이 10미터의 대형열진공챔버는 크게 진공계와 열제어계, 방진계로 구분되며, $3.7{\times}10^{-5}Pa$($5{\times}10^{-7}torr$) 이하의 진공 환경에서 액체질소를 이용해 위성을 감싸는 쉬라우드의 온도를 $-190^{\circ}C$ 이하로 유지할 수 있고, $10^{-5}g_{rms}$ 이하의 진동레벨을 갖는 방진시스템을 갖추어 우주환경에서의 광학시험을 가능하게 한다. 또한 챔버내에 설치된 할로겐램프를 이용하여 쉬라우드의 온도를 섭씨 123도까지 상승시켜 베이크아웃 시험을 수행할 수 있으며, PLC(Programmable Logic Controller)를 기반으로 한 제어프로그램을 이용하여 대형열진공챔버의 자동화 제어를 수행할 수 있다.
