Objective: The purpose of this study is to examine the practical experiences of childcare experts, parents, and daycare center directors who participated in the 'Daycare Centers Monitoring Program' carried out in K city. Methods: Participants were three childcare experts who belong to the monitoring group in K city, three mothers with infants and children, and three daycare center directors who were selected for the 'Daycare Centers Monitoring Program'. Results: As a result of the research, the childcare experts experienced the following; 1) sharing interesting experiences with parents, 2) a perception of the monitoring program for taking advantage of mutual strengths, 3) the opportunity of maintaining a sense of presence in early childhood education institutions, et al. The mothers' experiences were shown to include, 1) resolving small questions about the operation and management of a daycare center, 2) feelings of relief through observing the life style of infants and children, 3) the joy and reward of being a member of the monitoring group, et al. The directors' experiences were indicated to include 1) a psychological discomfort recognized as a target of the daycare monitoring and as 'another evaluation', 2) the confusion caused by different reviews, 3) an ambiguity on the unfamiliar indexes and contents electronically documented, et al. Conclusion/Implications: Based on these results, there was a discussion about actual suggestions and educational implications on the daycare monitoring program in order to improve the quality of daycare services in childcare centers.

In mobile opportunistic networks (MONs), human-carried mobile devices such as PDAs and smartphones, with the capability of short range wireless communications, could form various intermittent contacts due to the mobility of humans, and then could use the contact opportunity to communicate with each other. The dynamic changes of the network topology are closely related to the human mobility patterns. In this paper, we propose a social motivation-aware mobility model for MONs, which explains the basic laws of human mobility from the psychological point of view. We analyze and model social motivations of human mobility mainly in terms of expectancy value theory and affiliation motivation. Furthermore, we introduce a new concept of geographic functional cells, which not only incorporates the influence of geographical constraints on human mobility but also simplifies the complicated configuration of simulation areas. Lastly, we validate our model by simulating three real scenarios and comparing it with reality traces and other synthetic traces. The simulation results show that our model has a better match in the performance evaluation when applying social-based forwarding protocols like BUBBULE.

The objective of this study was to investigate quality attributes of beef patties formulated with dried pumpkin pulp and seed mixture (PM). Four different meatball formulations were prepared where lean was replaced with PM as C (0% PM), P2 (2% PM), P3 (3% PM) and P5 (5% PM). Utilization of PM decreased moisture and increased ash content of the patties. Incorporation of 5% PM (P5) increased the pH value of both uncooked and cooked patties compared to C group. Increasing levels of PM increased water-holding capacity. No significant differences were found in cooking yield and diameter change with the addition of PM. Incorporation of PM increased fat and decreased moisture retention of the samples. $a^*$ values were decreased with PM addition, where $L^*$ values did not differ among treatments and $b^*$ values were similar in C, P3 and P5 samples. Textural properties were mostly equivalent to control samples with the incorporation of PM even at higher concentrations. The addition of PM did not significantly affect any of the sensory scores tested. These results indicated that utilization of PM presents the opportunity to decrease the amount of meat besides to improve healthier profile without causing negative changes in physical, chemical and technological quality of beef patties.

There is currently a growing need to nurture creative and convergent talent in the face of the fourth Industrial Revolution. Developing such talent requires interdisciplinary convergent education across the science, engineering, humanities, social studies, and arts disciplines. Such interdisciplinary convergence could cultivate humanities and social knowledge and qualities along with scientific expertise. In Korea, there are currently six science schools for the gifted that aim to discover and nurture science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) researchers from an early stage, and two science and art schools for the gifted that aim to cultivate new talent combining students' scientific and artistic qualities. These schools establish and follow curriculums that are suited to achieving the education objectives guaranteed by the Gifted Education Promotion Act and its Enforcement Decrees. This study compares the curriculums and curriculum tables of the science schools for the gifted to those of the science and art schools for the gifted to evaluate their methods of operation and performance. Additionally, it determines which curriculums provide an opportunity for students to nurture convergent thinking, and discusses how suitable curriculums could be implemented to develop convergent thinking.

The purpose of this paper is to give the opportunity to explore the career in UX(User Experience) designer and presents how to teach for UX design that is stressed in IT industry recently. We develop the textbook which is for 3 class periods for STEAM career exploration of UX designer for K-3 and K-4 students considering their students' intellectual level, prior knowledge and interests. We will offer this program to K-3 and K-4 students, soon. It will be expected that students can accept the knowledge about UX design and explore the career for UX designer.

The purpose of the present study was to scrutinize computer games that can motivate elementary school students through their interactive "edutainment" effects. The types of elements in computer games that students find interesting as learning media and their impact were studied. The current status of Korean computer games, issues related to learning English, and methods to stimulate the motivation and interest in learning by elementary school students were explored. A computer game model for efficiently teaching English to elementary school students through a connection between computer games and education was suggested. In this model, overall games were designed with the focus on the integration of curriculum and content subjects related to learning activities. For games not to be biased toward entertainment and to have systemized learning steps, the games are composed of an introduction, presentation, practice, production and evaluation, in that order. The model suggested by this plan and composition make it possible to approach learning efficiently with entertaining games based on a systematic learning curriculum. As shown above, developing the model of educational computer games can be seen as an opportunity, which can provide amusement and interests and a broad learning experience as an additional learning method.

This research was an attempt to restructure the curriculum of pediatric clinical education on the base of the analysis of the pediatric clnical experience of nursing students acquired according to the traditional hospital-based pediatric clinical education and the evaluation of its results. As the focus of health care changes, pediatric clinical education the future necessitates changes in the traditional clinical experince at all levels. The traditional concentration of clinical experience within an acute care setting must be restructured to include the expanding future roles of the nurse and the changes in the health care structure. In order to meet the need for restructuring, it is inevitably necessary to adopt an organizational design for pediatric clinical experience that is not all traditional. The additional experiences and variety of settings will enhance the quality of pediatric clinical experience. And as a matter of course this organizational change will enhance the student learning experience by giving them the opportunity to observe normal growth and development, preventive health care measures, and the role of the nurse outside the acute care setting. As the nursing's focus changes to meet the challenges of the future the faculty must apply themselves to these changes to prepare students for the future. Students must be ready to fill the many roles that nurses will hold in the future.

Government has propelled strongly the Agricultural - cum - Industrial region development project in the nation wide. This project will not only provide employment opportunity for rural inhabitants, but also be designed to activate the rural economy. In addition, it will lead to a balanced development between the urban and rural areas. Under this project, building sites of 3 to 30 hactres will be established in the rural area in order to settle factories which are suitable to the rural condition. In this report, the researches which relating to the achievement conditions of planning, design and constructions of the building sites and the contribution conditions of Agri. - cum - Industrial Region development projects, activated to the rural economy and regional development in the Kyungpook regional areas, were surveyed and studied. The convergence of mobile communications and handheld computers offers the opportunity to develop technology that will assist individuals and groups to learn anytime, anywhere. In this thesis, we suggest a learning model for educational mobile contents, and implement a mobile contents for English vocabulary learning. The mobile contents consist of two parts: vocabulary learning and vocabulary evaluation. The vocabulary learning provides the mobile learner not only the display of English vocabulary but also the pronunciation of native speaker. The degree of learning achievement is evaluated by the quiz program of game style. Accordingly, the proposed prototype system for English vocabulary learning is designed and implemented, as an exemplar of personal mobile systems for edutainment mobile learning.

Extensive emphasis on milk and milk fat yields with no diversion for beef performance increased the yield efficiency of North American dairy cattle. Heavy demand for North American genetics followed national strain comparison trials in Poland, and US and Canadian dairy cattle and germplasm still are an important source of genetics for many countries. Genetic improvement has accelerated in many countries because of the implementation of sampling programs for young bulls and improved evaluation procedures. Rapid access to information and more frequent calculation of genetic information also are having a positive impact on genetic improvement. Traits other than yield should be considered in a breeding program, but those traits mist have a reasonable opportunity for improvement and sufficient economic worth. Because of ever increasing efficiency, the world's milk supply comes from fewer cows each year. However, no decline in the rate of genetic improvement is apparent under current genetic practices; estimates of heritability are increasing, and a decline in yield efficiency is unlikely in the near future. As management improves, especially for subtropical conditions, many of the selection principles used in temperate climates will be adopted for more adverse environmental conditions.
