Bichamber cardiac rupture is less frequent compared to unichamber cardiac rupture. We report a patient who was successfully treated after the diagnosis of penetrating stab wound of both ventricles. The key to improved outcome of management of cardiac trauma lies in the rapid transportation to a general hospital where cardiac surgery is available. Aggressive primary intervention and immediate operation are also major factors.

With developing computer and communication technologies, the concept of CALS system has been popular not only to military but also to commercial industries. The security problem is one of the most critical issues to construct CALS infrastructure. The CALS system needs some security functions such that data confidentiality, integrity, authenticity, availability, and non-repudiation. This paper proposes a security architecture model in CALS. The security architecture model is composed of 5 submodels such that network security model, authentication and key management model, operation and audit model, integrated database security model, and risk analysis model.

A brake disc is one of the key elements of friction brake system. Thermal cracks of discs may shorten the lifetime of a disc and increase maintenance cost. Therefore, prevention of thermal cracks is very important to ensure the safety of the vehicle operation and reduction of maintenance cost. In this study, the influence of parameters on the friction heat of brake disc is examined.

In automatization of a warehouse for plate products, the selecting control of the number of steel plates to be lifted by a lifting magnet crane and the roller table control of steel plates being transported on are indispensible key technolgies. POSCO had developed these elementary technologies for the product warehouse of the plate mill in Pohang Works and succeeded in making the operation of the large-scale warehouse for plate products.

Benefit-cost analysis is one of key elements of feasibility study on a large scale investment for transportation infrastructure improvements. Benefit-cost analysis requires measuring expected benefits after the investment is completed. Reduction of delays is the major source for the benefit among other measurable benefits. Measurement methods for delays reduction have been reviewed and two methods were recommended for passenger delay and aircraft operation delay. Using these method, the effects of Cheju International Airport Improvement Projects were evaluated.

This paper describes the design and realization of an extra high frequency band $8{\times}8$ microstrip Butler matrix. Operation at 36 GHz is achieved with a frequency bandwidth exceeding 400 MHz. The circuit is implemented on a bi-layer microstrip structure using conventional manufacturing processes. This planar implementation of a Butler matrix is a key component of a switched beam smart antenna with printed antenna elements integrated on-board. Conception details, simulation results, and measurements are also given for the components (hybrid couplers, cross-couplers, and vertical inter-connections) used to implement the matrix.

This paper provides in-depth analysis of internal and external factors that are important to food retailers' international market expansion, presenting Carrefour as a case. Nine sources of risks inherent in international retail market operation are explored and examined which are critical for Carrefour's international expansion. Key financial ratios of Du Pont System are used to assess Carrefour's performance in local market and relative to competitors. Carrefour's competitive advantages are also explored and compared with Wal-Mart, its major competitor in the international expansion.

To cope with recent high gas prices and global warming phenomenon, the latest gasoline engine technologies are focusing on direction injection, downsizing by turbo charging, variable compression ratio, controlled auto Ignition to enhance fuel efficiency and satisfy emission regulations. The variable valve train technology will be a basement for these innovative technologies in internal combustion engines and is supposed to play a key role to improve low thermal efficiency and pumping loss in gasoline engine caused by low compression ratio and throttled operation respectively.

In this paper, we proposed an optical encryption method based in the concept of visual cryptography and interferometry. In our method a secret binary image was divided into two sub-images and they were encrypted by 'XOR' operation with a random key mask. Finally each encrypted image was changed into phase mask. By interference of these two phase masks the original image was obtained. Compared with general visual encryption method, this optical method had good signal-to-noise ratio due to no need to generate sub-pixels like visual encryption.

This paper reports on a study investigating key attributes of service recovery strategies in internet shopping mall. In theses day, service recovery has received important attention in the service operation management literature. Service recovery involves those actions designed to resolve problems, alter negative attitudes of dissatisfied consumers and to ultimately retain these customers. The study examined that service recovery strategies (apology, compensation) impact on the customer satisfaction. And customer satisfaction impacts on customer loyalty with SEM (Structural Equation Modeling). This study can be used a strategic implication for internet shopping mall managers to develop successful service recovery strategies.
