An Efficiency Analysis on Mutation Operation with TSP solved in Genetic Algorithm

  • 유전자 알고리즘은 명료한 방식으로 답을 찾기 어려운 문제, 즉 NP 문제의 경우 효과적인 솔루션을 찾을 수 있다. 단 유전자 알고리즘의 실행 비용은 기존 프로그래밍 방식에 비하여 높은 비용을 요구하게 되므로, 높은 성능의 실행환경을 전제로 한다. 이러한 문제를 조금이나마 줄여보기 위하여 본 연구는 유전자 알고리즘의 돌연변이 연산자를 초점을 맞추고, 돌연변이 연산의 복잡한 실행을 위한 비용을 고려하여, 과연 해당 연산자가 모든 문제 영역에서 반드시 요구될까를 분석하기 위한 실험을 진행한다. 우리 실험 주체는 유전자 알고리즘을 적용하는 대표적인 문제 중의 하나인 TSP(Travelling Salesman Problem)으로 하였다. 돌연변이 연산을 적용하는 경우와 적용하지 않는 경우에 대한 결과값들을 세대수와 적합도 값을 수집하여 분석한다. 그 결과 돌연변이 연산자를 적용하는 경우가 세대수 감소와 적합도 향상의 효과적인 결과를 반드시 보이지는 않았다.

  • It is a difficult task for decision makers(DMs) to choose an appropriate release plan which balances the conflicts between water storage and hydro-electric energy generation in a multi-reservoir operation problem. In this study, we proposed a DEA-based ranking procedure by which the DM can rank the potential alternatives and select the best solution among the Pareto-optimal solutions. The proposed procedure can resolve the problem of mix inefficiency that may cause errors in measuring the efficiency of alternatives. We applied the proposed procedure to the multi-reservoir operation problem for the Geum-River basin and could choose the best efficient solution from the Pareto-set which were generated by the Coordinated Multi-Reservoir Operating Model.

인천항의 효율적 선석운영을 위한 실시간 의사결정지원시스템 구축 (Development of Real-Time Decision Support System for the Efficient Berth Operation of Inchon Port)

  • The purpose of this paper is to develop a knowledge-based real-time decision support system to support decision makers for efficient berth operation of Inchon Port. In these days the berth operation problems have been many studied. The berth operation rules differ from port to port and the problem is highly dependent on natural geographical and operational environment of port. In Inchon Port the ship’s entrance into port and departure from port is extremely affected status of dock. In this paper we analyzed some effects of dock a specific character of Inchon Port with a real data of ship’s in Inchon Port. And reconstruct a previous expert’s knowledge of berth allocating problem in Inchon Port. Also the mechanism for the efficient berth operation has been studied by repeatedly dispatching in order to obtain a best effect of berth allocation, with real-time updated information for delay at service time of a specific berth and changing of a working-berth. The system is developed with graphic user interface(GUI) concept using user interactive approach. And this system will be provide decision support maker with an efficient and fast way to berth allocating and reduce wastes of time space and manpower in Inchon Port operation.

독립운전 시나리오를 고려한 마이크로그리드의 최적 발전기 기동정지 계획 (Unit Commitment of a Microgrid Considering Islanded Operation Scenarios)

  • Islanded operation of a microgrid can ensure the reliable operation of the system when a large accident occurs in the main grid. However, because the generation capability of a microgrid is typically limited, a microgrid operator should take islanded operation risk into account in scheduling its generation resources. To address this problem, in this paper we have proposed two unit commitment formulations based on the islanding scenario that reflect the expected and worst-case values of the islanded operation risk. An optimal resource scheduling strategy is obtained for the microgrid operator by solving these optimization problem, and the effectiveness of the proposed method is investigated by numerical simulations.

인더스트리얼 캐리어를 위한 통합 선대관리 지원시스템 (Integrated Fleet Management Support System for Industrial Carrier)

  • This paper aims at developing an integrated fleet management support system for industrial carriers who usually control the vessels of their own or on a time charter to minimize the cost of shipping their cargoes. The work is mainly concerned with the operational management problem of the fleet owned by a major oil company, a typical industrial carrier. The optimal fleet management problem for the major oil company can be divided into two phase problem. The front end corresponds to the production operation problem of the transportation of crude oil, the refinery operation, and the distribution of product oil to comply with the demand of the market. The back end is to tackle the fleet scheduling problem to meet the seaborne transportation demand derived from the front end. Relevant optimization models for each phase are proposed and described briefly. Then a user-friendly integrated fleet management support system is built based on the proposed optimization models for both ends under Windows environment. A case study reflecting the practices of fleet management problem for the major oil company is carried out by using the system.

  • 진화 프로그래밍은 실수형 최적화 문제에 널리 사용되는 알고리즘으로 돌연변이 연산이 중요한 연산이다. 일반적으로 돌연변이 연산은 확률 분포와 이에 따른 매개변수를 사용하여 변수값을 변화시키는데, 이 때 매개변수 역시 돌연변이 연산의 대상이 됨으로 이를 위한 또 다른 매개변수가 필요하다. 그러나 최적의 매개변수 값은 주어진 문제에 전적으로 의존하기 때문에 매개변수 개수가 많은 경우 매개변수값들에 대한 최적 조합을 찾기 어렵다. 이러한 문제를 부분적으로나마 해결하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 변수의 돌연변이 연산을 위한 매개변수를 자기 적응적 관점에서 이론적으로 추정한 돌연변이 연산을 제안하였다. 제안한 알고리즘에서는 코시 확률 분포의 축척 매개변수를 추정하여 돌연변이 연산에 적용함으로 축척 매개변수에 대한 돌연변이 연산이 필요하지 않다는 장점이 있다. 제안한 알고리즘을 벤치마킹 문제에 적용한 실험 결과를 통해 볼 때, 최적값 측면에서는 제안한 알고리즘의 상대적 우수성은 벤치마킹 문제에 의존하였으나 계산 시간 측면에서는 모든 벤치마킹 문제에 대하여 제안한 알고리즘이 우수하였다.

인더스트리얼 캐리어를 위한 선대운영의 최적화에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Optimization of Fleet Operation for Industrial Carriers)

  • There are three basic modes of operation of ships: liner, tramp and industrial operations. Industrial operations, where the owner of the cargo, i.e. the industrial carrier controls the ships, abound in the shipment of bulk commodities, such as oil, chemicals and ores. Industrial carriers strive to minimize the shipping cost of their cargoes. This paper is concerned with the operational optimization problem of a fleet owned by major international oil company. The major oil company is a holding corporation for a group of oil producing, transporting, refining, and marketing companies located in various countries throughout the world. The operational optimization problem of the fleet is divided into two-phases. The front end corresponds to the optimization of transporting crude oil, product mix, and the distribution of product oil to meet market demand. The back end tackles the operational optimization problem of the fleet to meet the transportation demand derived from the front end. A case study is carried out with the H major oil company problem composed by reflecting the practices of an international major oil company. The results are summarized and examined in the point of optimization for the total operation of the H major oil company and the operational optimization problem of the fleet. The paper concludes with the remark that the results of the study might be useful and applicable in practices of these related decision problems.

  • It is very difficult to find optimal train operation plan when analyzing the economic investment using traditional railroad travel demand estimation method. Train operation plan depends on travel demand and vice versa. To solve this problem, this study suggests a demand estimation method to address an optimal train operation scheme with the modal spilt using initial train operation plan and trip assignment.

  • Real-coded genetic algorithm(RCGA) has better performances than conventional genetic algorithm about dealing with a large domain, the precision and the constrain problem. Also the RCGA has advantage of operation time because it doesn't have to following about decoding operation. In this paper the ranges of PID gains are limited based on Ziegler-Nichols method to consider a long operation time problem that is the main problem of genetic algorithm. Result shows proposed method represents better performance without ignored about result of ZN tuning method and reduces the calculation time.

  • The bullet train runs more than 200km/h so that it is invisible to the naked eye. For this reason, KTX solely dependent on the ATC operation system. Above all things, 'stability' and 'regular time' are essential to Train Control Operation system. But intermittently, there is a signal transmission problem between ATC operation facilities and ground equipments. which is caused by wheel sliding and friction coefficient between wheel and rail when the train starts. This paper analyzed train service data for one year for accurate survey. In addition, this thesis examines the main cause of a signal transmission problem through simulation and experiment. Further, the method to solve the conventional problem is presented.
