무선랜에서 주기적인 채널탐색이 TCP 처리율에 미치는 영향 (Impact of Periodic Channel Scanning on the TCP Throughput in a WLAN)

  • 본 논문은 모바일 환경의 무선랜 사용자들이 주기적인 채널 탐색을 통해 새로운 AP를 찾고자 할 경우 TCP 처리율 측면에서 발생할 수 있는 문제점을 살펴보고 그 원인에 대하여 분석한다. 실험을 통하여 채널 탐색 주기에 따른 TCP 처리율을 측정하였으며, 짧은 주기에 큰 성능저하가 발생하였다. 이것은 모바일 노드의 채널 전환에도 불구하고 AP로부터 전송에 의해 패킷 손실이 발생하기 때문이다.

  • 본 연구는 수계별 한정된 수자원의 효율적 관리를 위한 기존댐의 연계운영과 병행하여 댐 상 하류 유출을 고려한 종합적인 수자원관리방안 수립의 필요성이 대두됨에 따라, 고수기 및 저수기 댐 상 하류의 수계주요지점에 대한 하천유출상황을 모의할 수 있는 유출모형을 구성하는데 목적이 있다. 또한 장 단기적으로는 기존 모형을 검토하여 한국수자원공사의 "한강수계 댐 통합운영계획 수립" 업무에 활용될 수 있도록 하는데 있다.

Single Sensor Charging System with MPPT Capability for Standalone Streetlight Applications

  • Maximum power point tracking (MPPT) and battery charging control are two important functions for a solar battery charger. The former improves utilization of the available solar energy, while the latter ensures a prolonged battery life. Nevertheless, complete implementation of both functions can be complex and costly, especially for low voltage application such as standalone street lamps. In this paper, the operation of a solar battery charger for standalone street light systems is investigated. Using only one voltage sensor, the solar charger is able to operate in both MPPT and constant voltage (CV) charging mode, hence providing high performance at a low cost. Using a lab prototype and a solar simulator, the operation of the charger system is demonstrated and its performance under varying irradiance is validated.

한국적 비상대비 동원업무 발전방안 (A Study on the Development of the Korean Mobilization Operations Including National Emergency Provision)

  • Developments toward a 'the end of the Cold War' are the main factor determining the situation in the Korean Peninsula. While all the combat resources of North Korea are systematically controlled and kept available for instant mobilization even in peacetime. South Korea is inferior to North Korea in terms of mobilization system and efficiency, exercise intensity and equipments. In sum, the South faces far greater restraints in wartime conversion capability than does the North. Mobilization refers to a nation's compulsory control, management and operation of its human and material resources for the purpose of national security. The total capability for safeguarding national security must be pursued by the continuous examination and complementation of our mobilization system and capability. This paper proposes an efficient management of national mobilization system that can be instantly operated on the whole in time of national emergency. Therefore, the actual operation of National Security Council is suggested to prepare operations against the emergencies and establish the foundation for national security.

Glucose Diffusion Limiting Membrane Based on Polyethyleneimine (PEI) Hydrogel for the Stabilization of Glucose Sensor

  • Commercially available continuous glucose sensors require the operation stability for more than two weeks. Typically, the sensor comprises a sensing layer and an over-coating layer for the stable operation inside the body. In the sensing layer, enzymes and mediators are cross-linked together for the effective sensing of the glucose. The over-coating layer limits the flux of glucose and works as a biocompatible layer to the body fluids. Here, we report the simple preparation of the flux-limiting layer by the condensation of polyethyleneimine (PEI), tri-epoxide linker, and trimethylolpropane triglycidyl ether (PTGE). The sensor is constructed by a layer-by-layer drop-coating of the sensing layer containing glucose dehydrogenase and the PEI-derived blocking layer. It is stable for more than 14 days, which is enough for the sensor in the continuous monitor glucose monitoring (CGM) system.

  • Self-Powered Neutron Detectors(SPNDs) are used to calculate core power distributions, an essential factor in the safe operation of nuclear power plants. Some detectors may fail during normal operation, and signals from failed detectors are isolated from intact signals. The calculated detailed power distribution accuracy depends on the number of available detector signals. Failed detectors decrease the operating margin by enlarging the power distribution measurement error. Therefore, a thorough reconstruction of the failed detector signals is critical. This note suggests a compressive sensing based methodology that rationally reconstructs the readings of failed detectors. The methodology significantly improves reconstruction accuracy by sorting signals and removing high-frequency components from conventional compressive sensing methodology.

A Study On Wartime Sealift Operation Using Simulation

  • The ROK TRANSCOM is trying to establish a concrete wartime sealift operation plan. But there are many problems to be solved for setting up the plan. The most serious problem is to procure war materiel to be shipped in U.S.A and next one is to determine the number of sealift assets and to allocate them. The process of sealift operation can be described as follows. Before the order of vessel mobilization, all vessels appointed for activation would be scattered in worldwide in the state of Beaded or unloaded. After the order of vessel mobilization, vessels would go to SPGE(seaport of embarkation) to load war materiel. Some loaded ships should offload the commercial cargo to the near port as soon as they are activated, before they would go to SPOE. All vessels would load procured materiel in SPOE and then go to SPOD(seaport of debarkation). They would offload war materiel in SPOD and then go back to SPOE to load war materiel again. We will simulate this process using ARENA(1), evaluate the sealift capability of ROK and find omit problems of the sealift plan. This model ultimately evaluates the sealift capability and provides planners with critical information far establishing and correcting the plan. This study can also provide military planners with a flexible and accessible decision support tool to provide advance planning under a variety of conditions on the sealift capability. The military planner is expected to make use of this model as a standard for establishing effective and concrete sealift operation in the near future. We can conclude how procurement capability significantly affects the result of sealift operation through this model. We could decide the appropriate levee of sealift asset such as the number of vessels and the number of available berth. So we could allocate effectively the resources for completing the sealift operation within the TGT(Target) time.

  • 철도기술의 발전 이후 현재 도시철도에서는 국내 처음으로 열차의 안전한 운행 제어를 위한 자동/무인 운전이 가능한 자동 열차 운행 장치(ATO)를 도입해 안정적으로 정시 운행을 하고 있다. ATO 자동운전은 제어기준 값(목표속도)과 피드백 값(실제속도)간의 오차에 의한 전동차의 역행과 제동을 반복함으로 에너지 효율 낮다. 본 논문에서는 고정된 역간 거리를 정해진 운전 시분 내에 주행에너지를 최소화하며 주행하는 열차의 특성을 파악하고 모델링한다. 따라서 5호선 실 노선 구간별 운전시분 내에서 실측 데이터 분석을 위해 직선구간/구배구간/곡선구간 등 구간을 선정하고 그 구간에서 열차의 주행패턴에 따라 변화하는 주행에너지를 최소화하는 최적의 주행 패턴을 제시하였다.

  • The transient numerical analysis was performed for vapor cooled current leads. The present numerical modeling considered that there is temperature difference between the copper lead and the helium vapor flow. This numerical modeling was compensated and validated by the experiment with commercially available 100 A current leads. The numerical modeling in this paper described thermal characteristics of overloaded current leads more accurately than the conventional steady state analysis. Proper design of overloaded current leads was suggested by indicating the appropriate overloading factor in the pulse mode operation.

  • SART(Search and Rescue Radar Transponder) is a radar transponder capable of operating in the 9GHz band which is one element of GMDSS. the fundamental function of the SART is to indicate its position. Thus it is so much available to assist SAR operation when an emergency and casualty occur at any sea area, In the thesis we designed manufactured each part of circuit to develop the advanced SART and configured to test the characteristics in many ways, As the results of detailed things we confirmed that the developed SART could be high possibility of production.
