KPX의 한국 전력 계통에서 EMS 계통해석기능 활용실태 소개 (KPX's EMS Network Analysis Operation Status in Korea Power System)

  • Due to old Toshiba EMS's database size limit and hardware old aging, KPX(Korea Power Exchange) had introduced New EMS from AREVA(old ALSTOM) in July 2002. After then KPX had committed many man power and time to normalize EMS NA(Network Analysis) functions for using real power system. At initial stage, to normalize State Estimator which is the backbone of all other NA functions and DTS(Dispatcher Training Simulator}, KPX had corrected numerous topology errors, network model errors, non-scanned and wrongly scanned SCADA measured errors. After SE function study, running test and tuning, State Estimator could finally have been run properly and stably from June 2003. Based on SE running, KPX had normalized real time Contingency Analysis, and study mode Power Flow, STNET and DTS. From early 2004, dispatchers have been trained to use NA and DTS for the purpose of stable SE running, NA operation & results reading and urgent equipment outage reviewing. EMS NA have been greatly contributed to operate real time power system stably. Above NA normal operation by KPX own efforts under the no experience of NA running, KPX made a good precedent. This paper is intended to introduce EMS NA normalization process, operation status, and etc in Korea power system operation.

DEA를 이용한 동절기 도로제설자재 운영 효율성 평가 (Evaluation of Efficiency of Snow Removal Operation Resources using Data Envelopment Analysis)

  • PURPOSES : This study evaluates the efficiency of snow removal operation resources using data envelopment analysis (DEA). The results of this study can help decision-making strategies, especially for resource allocation for snow removal works on national highways. METHODS : First, regional road management offices (DMUs) for efficiency evaluation were set up, and a database (for years 2012-2016) for analysis was formed. Second, DEA was carried out by selecting input and output variables based on the constructed database. Lastly, based on the results of the DEA, the efficiency of each regional road management office was evaluated. In addition, the potential for future improvement was determined. RESULTS : The results showed that there was a large variation in efficiency of snow removal operation resources by regional offices. CONCLUSIONS : The results of this study imply that the evaluation of efficiency for snow removal operation resources is important when decisions related to snow-removal strategies are made by road management offices.

  • This paper proposes a method related to fault tolerance operation and characteristic analysis of asymmetric 6-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor. In general, motor drive systems with multi-phase structures can be continuously operated despite a reduction of power and speed by using a phase changeover or control techniques according to the failures. As a result, it is widely used in industrial fields such as aviation and defense, which require high efficiency and high reliability. In this paper, the second order ripple of the electrical fundamental freuqnecy occurs in the dq-axis currents of the synchronous coordinate system through mathematical analysis according to the switch open of the dual 3-phase inverter. Therefore, the fault tolerant operation method is presented by applying the fault detection method with a constant cycle for continuous operations. The effectiveness of the proposed fault tolerance operation method is verified through the several experiments.

컨조인트 분석을 이용한 학교아침급식 운영 속성 및 수준의 중요도 분석 (Assessing Relative Importance of Operational Factors for School Breakfast Program using Conjoint Analysis)

  • The purposes of this study were as follows. First is to compare the importance of operational factors to determine types of school breakfast program, and second is to do the preference analysis of operation-related people depending on the attributes and levels of the operation of school breakfast program. The questionnaires developed for this study were distributed to 134 school dietitians, 114 school foodservice officials at the educational board, 68 staff members of foodservice contractors and 493 parents. Statistical data analyses were performed using SPSS/WIN 12.0 for descriptive statistics and conjoint analysis. The conjoint design was applied to evaluate the hypothetical foodservice types. According to the analysis on the attributes and levels of the school breakfast operation, the relative importance of each attribute was as followsprice (36.30%), menu (29.60%), foodservice staff (22.54%), serving type (11.55%) to school dietitians, price (34.99%), menu (28.15%), foodservice staff (23.52%), serving type (13.35%) to school foodservice officials at the educational board, menu (30.55%), price (30.24%), foodservice staff (28.75%), serving type (10.47%) to staff members of foodservice contractors and price (36.34%), menu (29.73%), foodservice staff (21.01%), serving type (12.92%) to parents. The results of the conjoint analysis indicated that the school dietitians and school foodservice officials at the educational board preferred the school breakfast operation program with 3 traditional menus and 2 convenience menus per 5 day, $1{\sim}3$ foodservice staff, with a price range of $1501{\sim}2000won$, and tray serving. Staff members of foodservice contractors preferred the school breakfast operation program with 3 traditional menus and 2 convenience menus per 5 day, $1{\sim}3$ foodservice staff, with a price range of $2501{\sim}3000won$, and tray serving. Parents preferred the school breakfast operation with 5 traditional menus per 5 day, $6{\sim}7$ foodservice staff, with a price range of $2501{\sim}3000won$, and tray serving. About a half of school dietitians considered that elementary schools were appropriate for the suggested school breakfast operation program. But, 68.2% of school foodservice officials at the educational board, 69.1% of staff members of foodservice contractors, and 38.1% of parents considered high schools to be the suitable model. Therefore, it indicated the need to recognize the different opinions among breakfast operation-related people and take these factors into consideration in developing the school breakfast program.

도심항공교통시스템 운용 개념 분석에 따른 운항경로 구축 연구 (Flight Routes Establishment Through the Operational Concept Analysis of Urban Air Mobility System)

  • 인공지능, 자율항법 등 4차 산업의 기술들이 발전하면서 도심항공교통(UAM)이 도심의 교통 체증에 대한 효과적인 대안으로 고려되고 있으며, 한국을 비롯한 세계의 많은 기업들이 비행체 개발과 운용 체계 연구를 수행하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 도심항공교통의 운용에 필요한 요소들을 식별, 분류한 뒤 운용 체계 개념을 수립하였으며, 각 요소별로 세부적 고려사항들을 분석하였다. 운용 체계 개념 분석 결과를 기반으로 서울시와 경인권을 연결하는 도심항공교통 운항경로를 구축하였으며, 비행체의 성능 분석을 통하여 구축된 운항경로가 운용이 가능함을 확인하였다. 본 경로 분석연구는 추후 국내 여러 도시의 도심항공교통 운항경로 수립에 적용이 가능할 것으로 예측된다.

버스노선 운영체계의 효율성 평가 (Evaluating Efficiency of the Bus Route Operation System)

  • 본 연구는 개별노선제와 공동배차제로 구분되는 버스노선 운영체계의 효율성을 분석하였다. 최근 시내버스 서비스 개선을 위해 버스노선 운영체계의 개편이 자주 검토되지만 실제 정책검토의 기초자료가 부족하고 이에 대한 연구결과 또한 상대적으로 부족한 실정이다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 두 가지 운영체계를 복합운영중인 울산시의 2009년 현재 101개 버스 노선을 대상으로 자료포락분석기법을 적용하여 버스노선별 효율성을 분석하였다. 분석결과 공동배차제는 규모면에서는 상대적으로 안정적이었으나, 효율성 측면에서는 개별노선제가 더 효율적인 것으로 나타났다. 특히 비효율의 원인은 공동배차제의 경우는 순수 기술적 요인, 개별노선제는 규모의 효율성에 있는 것으로 제시되어, 공동배차제의 책임성 부재로 인한 마케팅 및 노선관리의 등한시 현상과, 개별노선제의 노선운영 책임성 부여에 따른 현재 상태에서의 최적 노선운영을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 개별노선제 운영노선이라도 순수 기술적 요인에 의한 비효율이 발생하는 것으로 분석되어 노선운영 체계개편 시에는 순수 기술적 효율성 제고방안 마련이 반드시 수반되어야 할 것이다.

  • A damper clutch in automatic transmission systems has some advantages of fuel economy and dynamic performance. Although a damper clutch operation improves a fuel economy of the vehicles, a positive operation of a damper clutch in a low vehicle speed induces abnormal vibration. This paper analyzed one of reasons for abnormal vibration by a damper clutch operation in low engine speed ranges. A simulation model was designed to confirm the effects of a damper clutch operation under unstable regions of an engine. A theoretical analysis was carried out about an engine operation stability. Simulation was conducted to depict abnormal vibration by a damper clutch operation in unstable regions of an engine performance curve. The effects of an engine operation region for abnormal vibration by a damper clutch was investigated according to the range and the slope of unstable regions. As a result of simulations, a damper clutch operation would be better to avoid an engine unstable regions.

  • In this paper, we will present the implementation method of telemetry trend analysis in KOMPSAT-2 (KOrea Multi Purpose SATellite II), and then we will show the test result of trend analysis with telemetry data. Trend Analysis function is one of the module of Satellite Operations Subsystem and that analyzes the telemetry data of satellite state of health and telemetry trend for operation support. With this system many clients can analyze telemetry data simultaneously.

  • The purpose of this study is not only to evaluate thermal performance but also to find the stress behavior of heat transfer tubes under the part load operation in Heat Recovery Steam Generator. Flow analysis was performed to know the behavior of exhaust gas from gas turbine and thermal performance was calculated using distribution of hot exhaust velocity. In addition, tubes temperature during operation were gathered from actual plant to verify the uneven flow distribution under part load operation. Stress analysis was performed using tubes temperature data gathered from actual plant under both part and full load operations to know the stress behavior of tubes.

Ergonomic Analysis of Tele-operation Tasks and Remote Handling Devices for a Pyroprocessing Facility

  • Objective: The aim of this study is ergonomic analysis of tele-operation tasks using modified remote handling devices dedicated to the cell of PRIDE(PyRoprocess Integrated inactive DEmonstration facility) in KAERI(Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute). Background: Tele-operation manipulators of the PRIDE are applied to perform the remote handling and management of pyroprocessing facilities. Generally, these kinds of systems are composed of master-slave system and its peripherals installed along a wall or ceiling of the cell, and the manipulators transmit the user's own motion to grippers directly. However, a user convenience and intuitiveness while operating the manipulators have not been fully considered in research fields. Method: This study tries to analyze the ergonomic performance of remote handling manipulators in the developed cell facility. It was included that the analysis of operator's capability for his/her own motion range of upper arm while manipulating the MSM, considerations of its manipulation margin and related tool modifications to improve the remote handling performance. Conclusion: The test results of several remote handling tasks performed in PRIDE are represented, and adequate operation strategies for the tele-operation system of hot-cell type facilities are proposed. Application: The knowledge represented in this study can be utilized to improve a tele-operation system operated in a large-scale hot-cell system.
