막오염에 의한 압축기 성능 저하가 발전용 가스터빈 설계점 성능에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (Performance degradation due to compressor fouling of an industrial gas turbine operating at design point condition)

  • Operating performance of industrial gas turbines in combined cycle power plants depends upon atmospheric conditions. Compressor fouling caused by airborne particles in the atmosphere and their adhesions on compressor blades is one of critical phenomena related to the performance degradation of industrial gas turbines. Compressor fouling provokes increase of pressure loss in inlet duct, decrease of mass flow rate of intake air and decrease of compressor stage efficiency. In this study, impacts of compressor fouling on the performance of an industrial gas turbine operating at design point condition are investigated analytically. As results, it is found that the reduction of produced power with decreased mass flow rate of intake air caused by narrowed flow area by the adhesion of airborne particles on compressor blades is the most dominant impact on the gas turbine performance by the compressor fouling phenomena.

  • 증기분사 재생 가스터빈 시스템의 성능을 해석하고 최적 운전조건을 분석하였다. 해석모델을 통해 압력비, 증기분사율, 주위온도나 터빈입구온도 등의 설계변수들이 시스템의 열효율, 연료소모율, 비동력등 성능에 미치는 영향을 최적 운전조건에서 분석하였다. 해석결과들은 증기분사가 재생 가스터빈시스템의 열효율과 비동력을 대폭 향상시킬 수 있음을 보여주었다.

  • We have investigated the operating characteristics of $1,600m^2$ large-scale solar thermal system installed in an eco-friendly energy town in Chungbuk Innovation City. The operation criteria of the collecting pump and storage pump were different from the existing standard, and it was confirmed that each pump works well according to the changed criteria. Based on the data of the representative day, the daily collecting heat (efficiency) and the production (storing) heat (efficiency) were estimated. It was confirmed that the daily collecting heat (efficiency) of the flat plate type was higher than that of the evacuated tube type, but the useful heat production was more in evacuated tube type collector.

  • With rising fuel costs and the depletion of fossil fuels, electric vehicles of high efficiency has been increasing interest. although high-performance battery continually is developing, Electric vehicles is not satisfied with the characteristics of the environment. In this study, By using the current fuel economy testing methods(5-cycle test), until the fully discharged battery electric vehicles is evaluated for a variety of environmental and operating conditions. As a result, Electric vehicles showed a low energy consumption efficiency in low temperature and rapid acceleration, deceleration in the operating environment compared with normal temperature.

  • A control algorithm is developed for highly efficient operation of auxiliary power unit (APU) that consists of a diesel engine and a directly coupled induction generator in series hybrid electric Bus (SHEB). In a series hybrid configuration the APU supplies the electric power needed for maintaining the state of charge (SOC) of the battery unit in various conditions of vehicle operation. As the rotational speed of generator does not depend on the vehicle speed, an optimized operation of engine-generator unit based on the efficiency map of each component can be achieved. The output torque of diesel engine can be controlled by the amount of fuel injection, and the power converted from mechanical to electrical energy can be adjusted by generate control unit (GCU) using the decoupling vector control of torque and flux. As for the given reference of the generating power, the multiply of speed and torque, many combinations of operating speed and torque are possible. The algorithm decides the new operating point based on the engine efficiency map and generator characteristic curve. During the transition of operating points, the speed controller saturation is avoided using variable limit and filtering of generator torque reference. A test rig and SHEB consist of a 1.5L diesel engine and a 30kw induction generator are constructed by Hyundai Motor Company.

MBR과 IPNR을 이용한 소규모 하수처리 시스템에 관한 연구 (A Study on a Small-scale Wastewater Treatment System Using MBR and IPNR)

  • In the purpose of this study, we investigate the characteristics of the pilot-scale wastewater treatment system applied to BAF, MBR and IPNR as examining the removal efficiency of organic pollutants and operating factors in small decentralized wastewater treatment systems, and operating factors. For long-term operation period of more than nine months, pilot-scale plant operating results appeared very stable. This results were the removal efficiency of BOD was 80.3% above and removal efficiency of COD with an average of about 91.0%, satisfied the final effluent water quality standards. TN in the final effluents was the average concentration of 7.9 mg/L, was satisfactory water quality standards 10 mg/L of TN.

  • With the help of this study, we aim to investigate the influence of Financial Distress (FD) and information and communication technology (ICT) on the operating performance and efficiency of banks in the Indian banking sector. FD can be defined as a position in which a company or individual is not in a condition to fulfill their promise of paying their obligations on time. The term "financial distress" refers to a situation in which a corporation or individual is unable to keep their promise of paying their debts on time. In this work, panel data analysis (PDA) was used to analyze data from 33 Indian banks over ten years (2010 to 2019). According to the findings, FD has a positive and significant impact on bank operational performance and efficiency. The current study will give the banking industry a better understanding of how a bank's performance can be negatively impacted by distressing conditions that render it inefficient and ineffective. Second, it will show investors how the level of distress can have a significant impact on bank performance in the market, finally resulting in the loss of money invested.

고압 LNG 배관망의 특성 및 비용절감 효과 (Features and Cost Reduction Effect of High Pressure LNG Pipeline Network)

  • 최근 유가의 고공행진 때문에 한국은 해외 에너지 자원개발뿐만 아니라 에너지 소비를 줄이기 위한 국가적 정책으로 기존 설비의 에너지 효율을 증가시키는 방안을 모색하는 것이 필요한 시점이다. 따라서 본 연구는 이런 국가적 사안에 부합하고자 인천생산기지 고압 LNG 배관망에 대하여 수정유량방정식을 사용한 Newton Method로 접근하였고, 유창조절밸브(FCV)에 의해 지배적인 영향을 받는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한, 고압펌프는 유량조절밸브 50%의 개도율에서 최고효율을 보여 주었고, 고압배관망 내에서 배관저항곡선은 LNG 헤드가 1,500m 이상이 되어야만 토출이 가능한 것을 보였다. 고압펌프의 운전점으로부터 운전비용을 산출하였고, 최고 효율시 운전비용과 비교하여 운전비용을 절감할 수 있는 금액을 산출하였다. 특히 일간 시간대별 운전비용 절감액뿐만 아니라 연간 일별 운전비용 절감액을 산출하였으며, 그 결과 고압배관망은 연간 138백만원을 절감할 수 있다. 이것은 연간 고압펌프 1기당 9,823천원을 절감할 수 있다는 것을 의미한다. 결론적으로 본 연구는 복잡한 고압 LNG 배관망에서 고압펌프의 운전특성과 운전비용 절감효과를 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 이것은 미시적으로 생산기지의 효율적 미래운영에 대한 기여와 더불어 거시적으로 국가 에너지 경쟁력 제고에 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

전기자동차 구동용 영구자석형 동기전동기의 온라인 최적 효율제어 (On-Line Optimal Efficiency Control for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors Driving electric Vehicles)

  • This paper suggests the algorithm for on-line efficiency control of permancent magnet synchronous motors driving the electric vehicles. The existance of unigue d-axis current is verified, which generates the maximum efficiency at operating points of motor. Using the Fibonacci search method, d-axis current converges to the minimization of inverter input power, and to prevent the variation of motor speed in process of the efficiency control, the voltage decoupled control strategy is introduced. Through the experiments, the effects of an efficiency control algorithm are verified.
