현재 디지털라이브러리는 상호운용성의 문제, 콘텐트 확장의 한계, 편리한 관리 환경의 필요성에 직면해 있다. 이를 해결하기 위해선 표준화와 상호운용성이 전제된 시스템이 필요하다. 이런 문제를 근원적으로 해결해 줄 수 있는 차세대 디지털라이브러리 시스템으로 주목 받고 있는 것이 Open Digital Library이다. 여기서는 Open Digital Library의 사상적 기반이 된 OAI 및 OAI-PMH에 대해 조사하였으며, Open Digital Library 프레임워크, 설계 주안점, 적용사례를 연구하였다. 끝으로 표준화된 요소기술을 활용한 Open Digital Library의 발전방향과 확장성을 제시하였다.

OGC(Open GIS Consortium)의 'OpenGIS Simple Feature Specification for CORBA'는 CORBA 분산 컴퓨팅 환경하에서 분산되고 상호 이질적인 GIS 자원의 공유와 상호운용을 위한 표준 인터페이스를 정의하는 OpenGIS CORBA 구현사양이다. 이를 지원하는 OpenGIS 서버는 구현사양에 정의된 모즌 표준 인터페이스들에 대한 정확한 구현이 필요하고, 기반을 두고 있는 GIS와의 효율적인 연동이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 UniSQL을 기초로 한 DBMS 엔진 레벨에서 공간 데이터 타입과 공간 연산자를 기본적으로 제공하는 객체 관리형 GIS인 GEUS를 기반으로 OpenGIS 서버를 개발하였다. CORBA 분산 컴퓨팅 환경하에서 클라이언트는 OpenGIS 표준 인터페이스를 통하여 OpenGIS 서버가 기초하고 있는 GIS에 저장되어 있는 지리정보를 접근할 수 있고, GIS가 제공하는 지형공간 연산기능을 이용할 수 있고, 또한 다른 GIS와 상호 운용할 수 있다.

근해의 수질오염은 수산양식 산업에 큰 영향을 미친다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 근해에서 외해로 양식장이 이동하고 있다. 외해 양식장의 구축을 위해서는 자동먹이 공급장치 및 원격 관리 시스템이 필요하다. 본 논문은 해상의 양식장에서의 자동 먹이 공급 시스템에 관하여 설명하고자 한다. 어류는 수온 및 어체 중량에 따라 먹이를 먹는 양이 변화하며, 해상 양식장의 경우 육상에 비하여 온도 변화가 크게 일어난다. 본 논문은 수온 및 어체 중량에 따라 먹이량을 계산하고 자동으로 먹이를 공급하는 시스템을 연구하였으며 모형 실험을 통하여 먹이 공급 장치의 성능을 검증하였다.

Recently, ground source heat pump systems are being used in buildings for cooling and heating to reduce greenhouse gas and save energy. However, ground source heat pump systems mainly use the vertical closed-loop geothermal system design rather than the open-loop geothermal system design. This is due to a lack of knowledge and few research feasibility studies. In this research, a dynamic thermal analysis numerical simulation based on a standard house model was conducted for an open-loop geothermal system. Based on heating load analysis results, the life cycle costs of a standard house using an open two-well geothermal system were analyzed and compared with a vertical closed-loop geothermal system, and a diesel boiler. As a result, it was found that using an open two-well geothermal system shows economic return on investment after three years.

본 논문에서는 공개 소스 소프트웨어를 기반으로 VoWLAN(Voice over WLAN) 단말 시스템을 개발하였다. 이 시스템은 무선랜에 접속할 수 있는 환경에서 IP-PBX 서버를 통해 VoWLAN 단말들 간에 VoIP 서비스를 제공하며 다음과 같은 특징을 가진다. 첫째, 공개 소스 소프트웨어 기반으로 작성하여 시스템 도입에 따른 초기 투자비용의 부담이 적다. 둘째, 소프트웨어 IP-PBX 시스템과 연동하여 voice mail, conference call, interactive voice response와 같은 다양한 부가 서비스론 제공한다. 셋째, VoWLAN 단말은 임베디드 환경에 적합한 경량 소프트웨어 솔루션들을 이용하여 제한된 시스템 자원 하에서 고수준의 사용자 응용프로그램을 제공한다. 넷째, 공개 소스 소프트웨어 기반으로 작성되어 요구사항의 변화에 따라 추가 기능의 확장이 용이하다.

This paper proposed a web-based open architecture monitoring system using the Java language. The proposed system can be implemented in any platform and the status of the process can be monitored in a remote station. The proposed scheme have been applied to a steam generator level controller for a nuclear power plant. The result shows the feasibility of the proposed system.

본 연구에서 3차원 지형공간정보의 구축 및 처리, 가시화를 위하여 개인용 PC와 임베디드 단말기의 포켓 PC환경에서 자료 호환 및 동시 운영이 가능한 실시간 3차원 GIS의 Prototype의 설계 및 구현과 적용 실험을 하고자 한다 OpenGL(Open Graphic Library)과 OpenGL|ES (Embedded System)를 활용하여 도시경관을 구성하는 주요객체인 지형, 건물, 교통, 식생 등을 통합적으로 저작 및 3D 객체 모델링 및 렌더링이 통합 및 개별 운영 시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다. 구현 단계에서 개인용 PC 운영환경에서는 기능성 향상에 중점을 두어 공간 데이터베이스 설계, 텍스처 영상 매핑처리, 대용량의 3차원 공간정보 처리 및 관리, 가시화, 렌더링, 모델링 기능들을 제공하며, PDA 휴대용 단말운영환경을 지원하는 모바일 시스템에서는 실시간 모바일 저작기능과 렌더링 기능에 주안점을 두어 개발하였다. 한편 연구 결과로 구현된 시스템은 원도우 XP 기반의 개인용 PC와 PDA 단말기 상에서 3D 객체 자료구조가 호환되어 향후 다양한 응용이 가능할 것으로 생각된다.

최근 들어 IT기술의 발전은 급속도로 성장하고 있다. 이에 따라 실시간 이미지 프로세싱 및 여러 플랫폼의 호환성을 제공하는 OpenCV를 활용한 이미지 처리 기술들에 대한 연구도 활발히 진행 중에 있다. 현재, 서로 다른 이미지를 비교, 유사성을 판별하는 시스템은 일치율이 낮거나, 사람이 아날로그적인 수치를 이용하여 판별하는 시스템이 대부분이다. 본 논문에서는 OpenCV의 Template Matching과 Feature Matching을 활용하여 서로 다른 이미지 간 유사성을 디지털 값으로 판별하는 시스템에 대해 연구한다. 이미지 스크린 중 비교점을 특정하여 피처를 추출, 서로 상이한 크기에서도 동일한 피처로 인식하여 비교대상 이미지의 피처셋과 비교하여 유서성을 비교, 검증하게 된다. 이는 음성 및 영상 인식 및 분석, 처리기술에서 보다 정확인 일치율 판독이 가능하다. 향후 법의학 및 OpenCV외의 이미지 처리기술에 대한 연구가 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

A compartment model of the flow driven by pumping without valves (valveless pumping) in an open tank system is proposed. By the open tank system, we mean that two rigid cylindrical tanks are connected with an elastic tube. An incompressible fluid fills this system up to a certain level in tanks under the gravity. The compartment model for analyzing such open system is derived from the energy principle which will be called the energy conserving compartment model or shortly the ECCM. Based on this ECCM of valveless pumping, we explore the occurrence of directional net flow or directional net power by a specific excitation at an asymmetric part of the elastic tube. The interaction between deformable elastic tube and the fluid inside is considered in the ECCM. The reliability of the ECCMis investigated through some physical examples. The ECCM shows the existence of directional net power of the valveless pump system with open tanks and confirms that the direction and magnitude of the net power depend on the pumping frequency as well. Furthermore, the phase synchronization in time between the fluid pressure difference and the external pinching force over the pumping region is highly related to the direction of energy storing or net power.
