In this paper, to improve the efficiency of welding and user convenience in the shipbuilding industry, a PC-based off-line programming (OLP) technique and the development of a robot transfer unit are presented. The developed OLP system is capable of not only robot motion simulations but also automatic generations of a series of robot programs. The strength of the developed OLP system lies in its flexibility in handling the changes of the welding robot's target objects. Moreover, for a precise transfer of the robot to a desired location, an auxiliary mobile platform named a robot-origin-transfer-unit (ROTU) was developed. To enhance the cornering capability of the platform in a narrow area, the developed ROTU is equipped with 2 steering wheels and 1 driving wheel. Both the OLP and the ROTU were field-tested and their performances were proven successful.

인터넷은 단순한 정보습득을 위한 공간을 넘어 사람들이 모여 교류하는 '소통의 장'으로서 역할을 하고 있다. 최근에는 타인과 끊임없이 대화를 나누고 소통하려는 인간의 기본 욕구를 반영한 서비스인 SNS(Social Network Service)가 전 세계의 주목을 받고 있다. 또한 LBS(Location-Based Service)는 GPS, Wi-Fi를 통한 위치정보를 활용하여 업무생산성 개선 및 다양한 생활 편의를 제공하는 서비스이다. 본 논문에서는 안드로이드 OS를 기반으로 LBS와 SNS를 통합한 어플리케이션을 제안한다. 개인용 모바일 정보기기인 스마트폰을 활용하여, 위치정보에 이용자 정보, SNS를 결합하여 서비스를 고도화 한다. 지인들의 위치를 기반으로 현재 상태, 트윗(Twit)을 통해 정보의 공유 및 활용을 극대화 할 수 있다. 이를 통해 사용자들이 적극적이고 용이하게 온라인 Identity를 표현하는 것을 목적으로 본 시스템을 제안한다.

본 논문에서는 SSE(Streaming Sigle instruction multiple data Extensions)명령어를 이용한 고속 Sobel edge detection 알고리즘을 제안한다. SSE를 지원하는 CPU는 128bit의 SSE 레지스터를 보유하고 있으며 이에 속한 데이터는 한 번에 병렬적으로 처리 될 수 있다. 실험은 Sobel 연산에 대하여 순차처리 코딩, 이미지 처리 라이브러리인 OpenCV, MIL 8.0, IPP 5.2를 이용한 코딩, shift 알고리즘을 사용한 SSE 코딩, 제안하는 방법을 이용한 SSE 프로그램 코팅에 대해 각각의 수행 시간을 측정하고 이를 비교하였다. 실험결과 제안하는 방법은 순차코팅에 비해 약 12배, OpenCV에 비해 13배, MIL에 비해 2배 정도 빨랐으며, IPP에 대해선 약간 빠른 성능 향상을 보였다. 또한 일반적인 shift를 이용한 방법보다 제안하는 방법은 대략 1.5배 정도의 성능 향상이 있었다. 이를 통해 제안하는 방법은 라이브러리를 구입하는 비용을 들이지 않으며 추가적 하드웨어의 구입 없이도 PC에서 빠른 Sobel 연산을 수행 할 수 있음을 보였다.

This paper proposes an integrated lighting enabler system (ILES) based on standard machine-to-machine (M2M) platforms. This system provides common services of end-to-and M2M communication for smart lighting system. It is divided into two sub-systems, namely end-device system and server system. On the server side, the M2M platform OpenMTC is used to receive data from the sensors and send response for activating actuators. At the end-device system, a programmable smart lighting device is connected to the actuators and sensors for communicating their data to the server. Some experiments have been done to prove the system concept. The experiment results show that the proposed integrated lighting enabler system is effective to reduce the power consumption by 25.22% (in average). The proving of significance effect in reducing power consumption is measured by the Wilcoxon method.

Structural health monitoring and damage detection are essential for assessing, maintaining, and rehabilitating structures. Most of the existing damage detection approaches compare the current state structural response with the undamaged vibrational structural response, which is unsuitable for old and existing structures where undamaged vibrational responses are absent. One of the approaches for existing structures, numerical model updating/inverse modelling, available in the literature, is limited to numerical studies with high-end software. In this study, an attempt is made to study the effectiveness of the model updating technique, simplify modelling complexity, and economize its usability. The optimization-based detection problem is addressed by using programmable open-sourced code, OpenSees^® and a derivative-free optimization code, NOMAD^®. Modal analysis is used for damage identification of beam-like structures with several damage scenarios. The performance of the proposed methodology is validated both numerically and experimentally. The proposed method performs satisfactorily in identifying both locations and intensity of damage in structures.

Engineering structures usually suffer from cracks. The crack geometry has an influence on the structural mechanical properties and subsequent crack propagations. However, as an extensively utilized method in fracture analysis, the extended finite element method provided by Abaqus fails to output the specific location and dimensions of fractures. In this study, a technique to capture the crack geometry is proposed. The technique is based on the invariant level set method (I-LSM), which can avoid updating the level set function during crack development. The solution is achieved by an open-source plug-in programmed by Python. Three examples were performed to verify the effectiveness and robustness of the program. The result shows that the developed program can accurately output the crack geometry in both the 2D and 3D models. The open-source plug-in codes are included as supplementary material.

We report two cases of postoperative total hip arthroplasty periprostehtic fracture of the acetabulum which treated by open reduction with internal fixation without acetabular cup revision. From these cases, we should consider open reduction with internal fixation as the first treatment option in cases where spot welding of the cup to the host bone is observed.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the influences of adolescents' body image and communication with their parents on the alienation of male and female middle school students. The subjects were 253 middle school students. The data were analyzed with SPSS win 18.0 using Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheff$\acute{e}$ test and stepwise regression. The findings showed that problematic communication with the father was the strongest factor in explaining the alienation of male middle school students. The second strongest factor was the middles school student's open communication with the mother, and the third strongest factor was the middle school student's perception of physical health. Unlike male students, open communication with the father was the strongest factor in explaining the alienation of female middle school students. Problematic communication with the mother was the second strongest factor. Perception of physical appearance was the third strongest, and perception of physical health was the fourth strongest factor. Based on the results of the study, implications were discussed in terms of the alienation of male and female middle school students.

This study investigates interior and exterior environments and arrangement forms of school buildings from elementary to high school which were recently built in Daegu since the 7th Educational Curriculum. In addition, this study analyses how outside noise affects inside environment of schools. This study found that the noise level criteria of school facilities(such as exterior learning sites and outer walls of school buildings) adjacent to street of one side satisfiedly corresponded to the level and criteria, 65dB(A), of school health law. However, the noise level and vibration criteria of school facilities adjacent to street of two sides did not satisfiedly corresponded to the level or criteria, 65dB(A). In case of classrooms, the inner noise of educational facilities with windows closed and also close to both the street of one side and of two sides satisfiedly corresponded to the level or criteria. 55dB(A), of school health law. In spring and tall, the windows are more open them usual for ventilation, and leaving windows open can lead to noise from outside. Thus, it is urgent to prepare for this situation.
