A new modeling incorporating the role of control arm is proposed for the Macpherson type suspension system. Vertical displacement of the sprung mass and angular displacement of the control arm are selected as main control variables in the new modeling. With the same values of suspension vehicle parameters the conventional modeling and the new modeling are compared in terms of open loop characteristics.

Open loop or ground water heat pump systems are the oldest of ground-source systems. Standing column wells can be used as highly efficient ground heat exchanger in geo-thermal heat pump systems, where hydrological and geological conditions are suitable. These systems require some careful considerations for well design, ground water flow, heat exchanger selection etc This paper describes 9round water temperature variations, performances in heat ins and cool ing mode and the results of ground water analysis.

A Signal processor for the open-loop fiber optic gyroscope(FOG) is equipped with a stabilizer to reduce the error due to drift of fiber phase modulator (FPM). The stabilizer is designed to be operated to maintain the ratio of amplitude and phase between harmonics in the FOG signal. When FPM stabilizer is used, the temperature drift of FOG is reduced to less than 0.5 deg/hr in change of 20$^{\circ}C$.

In the pole assignment strategy, the closed loop poles are placed at prespecified locations. The amount of control effort required is to some extent proportional to the distance of the proposed closed loop locations of the poles from their open loop locations. The poor choice of closed loop locations may result in Large control effort and it may nuke the system unstable. To overcome this problem, pole shift control strategy is described in this paper. The validity of the proposed control strategy is assured through some simulations.

An optimal flight motion simulator path generation method is proposed for hardware in the loop simulation of high maneuverable missile. The proposed method consists of open loop and closed loop path calculation algorithm based on the energy optimal control strategies. The optimal angle command is able to protect the simulator from high acceleration shock at initial control phase.

In the automatic transmission using planetary gear there exists nonlinearities due to the finite difference between gear ratios, which yield torque hole during shift and influence on the ride quality and life of clutch. Based on the reaction carrier and converter turbine speed sliding functions are defined. Nonlinear closed-loop control laws are derived using them. Computer simulation shows that the closed loop design is better than the open loop design and semi-closed loop design.

In this paper, frequency synthesizer that can be used in IMT-2000 was designed and fabricated using dual loop PLL(Phase Locked Loop). For improving phase noise characteristic Voltage Controlled Oscillator was fabricated using coaxial resonator and eliminated frequency divider using SPD as phase detector and increased open loop gain. Fabricated frequency synthesizer had 1.82㎓ center frequency, 160MHz tuning range and -119.73㏈c/Hz low phase noise characteristic.

In this paper, the development of an IMM(Injection Molding Machine) controller is discussed. Presently, the Mold Close and Open Control Method of a toggle-type IMM is open-loop control. Through the development, a PC based control system was built instead of an existing controller and a closed-loop control replaced the previous control method by using PC based PLC. To control the nonlinear system of toggle type clamping unit, a fuzzy PI control algorithm was selected and it was programmed by an IL(Instruction List) and a LD(Ladder Diagram) on a PC based PLC. The application of fuzzy algorithm as the control method was also considered to change a control object like a mold replacement or an additional apparatus. For the development of an IMM controller, PC based PLC of PCI card type, distributed I/O modules with CANopen and Industrial PC and HMI (Human Machine Interface) software were used.

A novel and compact elliptic-function bandpass filter is proposed in this letter. The techniques of slot etching and the addition of open stubs are applied to enhance the self-inductance and self-capacitance of hexagonal open-loop resonators. Thus, size reduction and improved transmission performance are obtained. Compared to the performance of the conventional design, the central frequency and insertion loss are reduced by 28% and 3.1 dB, respectively. Measurements show that the proposed filter has a fraction bandwidth of 23% at the central frequency of 1.84 GHz, and its insertion loss in the passband is less than -1.5 dB. The bandpass filter occupies only 12 mm${\times}$21.2 mm (approximately $0.24{\lambda}_g{\times}0.14{\lambda}_g$).

위키피디아는 콘텐츠 협업을 위한 사이트들 중에서 사용자가 가장 많이 사용하는 사이트이다. 위키피디아의 성공은 수많은 자원 봉사자들이 자신의 지식을 제공하려는 동기와 지속적인 몰입 때문이다. 이 논문에서는 Cox 회귀 모델을 사용하여 에디팅에서의 셀프 루프(Self-loop)가 위키피디아 알찬글(Featured articles)로의 승급에 미치는 효과를 평가하였다. 2,978개의 위키피디아 알찬글에 대해서 글이 시작된 시점부터 2011년까지의 편집 내역을 수집하였다. 아티클 편집에서 자기가 수정한 후에 다른 사람이 수정하기 전에 다시 자기가 수정하는 셀프 루프를 사용자의 몰입에 대한 프록시로 사용하였으며, 셀프 루프의 수가 알찬글로의 승급에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것을 파악하였다. 추가적으로 자기 루프를 단기와 장기로 더 상세하여 구분하였고, 장기 셀프 루프가 단기 셀프 루프보다 더 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것을 파악하였다.
