Open channel type regenerative pump has been used in various industrial fields. It generates high pressure with low flow rate. However, it has low efficiency because of its complex flow pattern, We studied performance experiments and 3D numerical flow analysis of a regenerative pump. Through the numerical analysis, we could get the internal flow pattern and profile of a regenerative pump. Also, we examined leakage flow effects due to the gap between casing and impeller and stripper clearance. For the numerical analysis verification, we performed experiments and they had similar tendency at the design point.

Let D be the open unit disk in the complex plane $\mathbb{C}$. For any q > 0, the operator $Q_q$ defined by $$Q_qf(z)=q\int_{D}\frac{f(\omega)}{(1-z{\bar{\omega}})^{1+q}}d{\omega},\;z{\in}D$$. maps $L^{\infty}(D)$ boundedly onto $B_q$ for each q > 0. In this paper, weighted Bloch spaces $\mathcal{B}_q$ (q > 0) are considered on the open unit ball in $\mathbb{C}^n$. In particular, we will investigate the possibility of extension of this operator to the Weighted Bloch spaces $\mathcal{B}_q$ in $\mathbb{C}^n$.

Malocclusion is a serious complication of open reduction surgery for facial fractures. It is often caused by the lack of adequate consideration for the occlusal relationship before the trauma and intermaxillary fixation during the operation. This is a case report of postoperative malocclusion that occurred in a patient with a midfacial complex fracture.

In this paper we proposed a new algorithm that can reduce the open-loop pitch estimation time of G.723.1. The time domain cross-correlation method is simple but has long processing time by recursive multiplication. For reduction of processing time, we use the method that compute the cross-correlation by multiplying the Fourier value of speech by it's complex conjugate. Also, we can reduce the processing time by omitting the bit-reversing of FFT and IFFT for time-frequency domain transform. As a result, the processing time of improved hybrid domain cross-correlation algorithm is reduced by 67.37% of conventional time domain cross-correlation.

Current trends in propeller design have led to the need for extremely complex blade shapes, which place great demands on the accuracy of design and analysis methods. This paper presents a new proposal for improving the prediction of propeller performance with a vortex lattice method using the lifting surface theory. The paper presents a review of the theory and a description of the numerical methods employed. For 8 different propellers, the open water characteristics are calculated and compared with experimental data. The results are in good agreement in the region of a high advanced velocity, but there are differences in the other case. We have corrected the parameters for the trailing wake modeling in this paper, and repeated the calculation. The new calculation results are more in agreement with the experimental data.

These days, many different types of valves are developed in the industrial area according to their use purpose. Multiple kinds of valves are installed to control a flow and pressure of the pipe conveying fluid. Valves serve as critical roles in land plants such as power plants. The performance of equipment varies depending on valve characteristics. In this study, the internal flow analysis on Cone-type valve is conducted to analyze flow field and secure a value of the flow coefficient Cv. According to the internal flow analysis, when the flow distribution of the middle cross-section of valve was open 100%, flow field was relatively and smoothly taken out. If it was open 50%, flow recirculation region increased and a little complex flow field occurred. Unlike ball valve or butterfly valve, this valve had flow recirculation in its outlet depending on a valve opening amount. Therefore, it was found that there was no flow recirculation in the outlet of Cone-type valve.

In this paper, we study analytic and geometric properties of the solution q(z) to the differential equation q(z) + zq'(z)/q(z) = h(z) with the initial condition q(0) = 1 for a given analytic function h(z) on the unit disk |z| < 1 in the complex plane with h(0) = 1. In particular, we investigate the possible largest constant c > 0 such that the condition |Im [zf"(z)/f'(z)]| < c on |z| < 1 implies starlikeness of an analytic function f(z) on |z| < 1 with f(0) = f'(0) - 1 = 0.

Minimally invasive surgery (MIS) has several advantages over conventional open surgery. Less pain, less morbidity, early recovery and better cosmetic outcomes are well-known benefits of MIS. However, indications of MIS are highly dependent on the experience of surgeon and the disease status, In the benign diseases with less surgical complexity, MIS can be performed relatively and safely. However. in advanced malignant diseases which require more complex surgical manipulation, the of patients and the principles of oncologic surgery should be considered before the selection of surgical methods, MIS would be performed more and more with aid or technologic advancement. However, long-term result with equivalent oncologic outcomes to open surgery is necessary to be one of standard surgical treatments in thoracic surgery.

While the research for flow over a circular cylinder has been actively carried out up to the present, it has been known that the flow has not been clarified even now. Various complex flow and aero-acoustic characteristics exist around a circular cylinder such as flow separation, wake and pressure wave propagation. In this paper, research was carried out for wake flow and aeroacoustics over a circular cylinders by using high order, high resolution techniques that are used in two dimensional aero- acoustic analysis. OpenMP parallel processing method was used. For the numerical result, the periodic characteristic of Strouhal Number due to vortex shedding was comparatively analyzed with other experiment values and two dimensional numerical results.

An integrated security mechanism is one of the key challenges in the open wireless network architecture because of the diversity of the wireless network in open wireless network and the unique security mechanism used in each one of these networks. In the paper we analysed some elements to guarantee security and privacy preserving in distributed IT applications which provide some kind of support to complex medical domains.
