This paper is an overview of key elements of Korea National Open University's smart mobile learning system, and an attempt to evaluate its main services relative to the FRAME model and the Mobile Learning Development Model for distance learning in higher education. KNOU improved its system architecture to one based on xMOOC e-learning content delivery while also upgrading its PC-based online/mobile learning services to facilitate an easier and more convenient access to lectures and for better interactivity. From the users' viewpoint, the upgraded 'U-KNOU Campus' allows for a more integrated search capability coupled with better course recommendations and a customized notification service. Using the new system, the students can access not only the school- and peer-issued messages via online bulletin boards but also share information and pose questions to others including to the school faculty/officials and system administrators. Additionally, a new mobile payment method has been incorporated into the system so that the students can select and pay for additional courses from anywhere. In spite of these advances, the issue of device usability and content development remain; specifically U-KNOU Campus needs to improve its instructor-learner and learner-to-learner interactivity and mobile evaluation interface.

연구의 성과와 과정을 개방하는 오픈 사이언스가 강조되면서 전 세계적으로 연구 과정 중 생산된 연구데이터에 대한 접근성을 제고하려는 노력이 활발히 전개되고 있다. 국내에서도 연구데이터의 체계적인 관리와 공유, 활용을 위해 국내 대학에서 데이터관리계획(Data Management Plan, DMP) 서비스에 대한 논의가 시작되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 사례 조사를 통해 해외 대학도서관에서 제공하고 있는 DMP 서비스의 현황을 살펴보고 국내 대학도서관의 연구데이터 및 연구지원서비스 담당자와의 인터뷰를 통해 DMP 서비스에 대한 의견과 요건을 확인하였다. 이를 통해 국내 대학도서관에서 DMP 서비스를 제공하고자 할 때 고려해야 할 사항을 정책 수립, 서비스 운영 및 인식 개선의 측면에서 제안하였다.

본 연구는 온라인목록의 Open API 기반 일반 검색시스템과 온라인목록의 Open API 기반 메타 검색시스템을 구축하고 두 실험시스템의 사용성을 비교 평가하여 온라인목록의 Open API 기반 메타 검색시스템의 유용성을 밝히고자 하였다. 사용성은 전체적으로 온라인목록의 Open API 기반 일반 검색시스템 보다온라인목록의 Open API 기반 메타 검색시스템이 더 높게 나타났고, 통계적으로유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 국내 도서관들이 인터넷서점, 검색엔진, 웹포털 등에서 공개한 도서검색용 Open API를 통해 제공되는 풍부한 콘텐트를 온라인목록에서 공유하고 활용하면 서지데이터의 확충, 주제접근과 주제검색 능력의 확대, 메타 검색서비스의 확장, 소장도서의 이용가능성 증대, 목록비용의 절감 등에 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.

Diversified SaaS applications allow users more choices to use, according to their own preferences. However, the diversification of SaaS applications also makes it impossible for users to choose the best one. Furthermore, users can't take advantage of the functionality between SaaS applications. In this paper, we propose a platform that provides an SaaS mashup service, by extracting interoperable service functions from SaaS-based applications that independent vendors deploy and supporting a customized service recommendation function through log data binding in the cloud environment. The proposed SaaS mashup service platform consists of a SaaS aggregation framework and a log data binding framework. Each framework was concreted by using Apache Kafka and rule matrix-based recommendation techniques. We present the theoretical basis of implementing the high-performance message-processing function using Kafka. The SaaS mashup service platform, which provides a new type of mashup service by linking SaaS functions based on the above technology described, allows users to combine the required service functions freely and access the results of a rich service-utilization experience, using the SaaS mashup function. The platform developed through SaaS mashup service technology research will enable various flexible SaaS services, expected to contribute to the development of the smart-contents industry and the open market.

생명과학은 인간이 살아가는데 있어 직접적으로 영향을 미치는 중요한 학문분야 중 하나이다. 국내 생명과학 관련 연구자들은 산 학 연에 흩어져 중요한 연구를 수행하고 있으며, 이를 통한 연구결과는 다양한 형태(실질적인 연구결과물, 논문, 연구노트, 세미나 자료, 단행본, 교재 등)로 생산되고 있다. KISTI에서는 생명과학 관련 연구정보의 신속한 획득을 위해 생명과학관련 정보를 공유하고 교환할 수 있는 오픈 아카이빙 커뮤니티 (BioInfoNet)를 구축하여 연구자들이 커뮤니티를 발전시켜 가도록 인프라를 제공하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 최근 플랫폼으로서의 웹인 웹 2.0을 기반으로 오픈 액세스가 가능한 생명과학 문헌정보를 수집하여 메타데이터베이스를 구축하였으며, 이용자들이 자발적으로 주제별 공개 BBS(BioBBS)를 구성하고 운영할 수 있도록 커뮤니티를 설계하고 구현하였다.

This paper presents a behavioral data monitoring system based on WAP(wireless application protocol) service for the 24-hour continuous health state monitoring of the elderly and the disabled. The developed system transmits a character message to the predefined mobile cell phone through SMS service when an emergency state takes place. Simultaneously, the image captured by a CCD camera is transmitted to the server computer installed WAP service program. Then, the user of the cell phone who received he message can access the server and open the transmitted image. This system can be used for the effective health monitoring of the elderly and disabled.

그리드는 분산된 이기종 자원을 활용하는 컴퓨팅 패러다임으로 초기 그리드 자원을 활용하기 위한 표준으로 OGSA(Open Grid Service Architecture)가 제안되었다. 글로버스 툴킷3은 사용자가 OGSA에 표준에 맞게 그리드를 구성할 수 있는 기능을 제공했다. 하지만 그 이후 웹 서비스 표준의 발전에 따라 그에 맞는 새로운 표준인 WSRF(Web Service Resource Framework)가 정의 되었고, 현재 WSRF 표준에 따라서 GT4가 개발되어 발표된 상황이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 기존의 OGSA 표준에 맞게 구축된 그리드 정보검색 서비스들을 WSRF 표준에 맞도록 새로운 표준 인터페이스를 정립하고, OGSA-DAI(Data Access & Integration) 컴포넌트를 통한 데이터 관리 기능을 추가함으로써 새로운 그리드 정보검색 서비스 프로토타입을 정의하고자 한다.

멀티미디어 콘텐츠의 소비가 활발하게 된 2000년 이후, 멀티미디어 콘텐츠의 효율적인 전송을 위해 휴대 방송 기술의 연구가 진행되었고, 관련 표준화의 완료 이후 한국, 일본, 미국, 유럽 등에서 상용 서비스가 시작되었다. 이를 1세대 휴대 방송 서비스라 하며, 현재는 유무선 단말기의 구별 없이 방송 서비스를 제공하는 3Screens(TV, PC, and Mobile)서비스를 위한 연구 및 표준이 진행되고 있다. 3 Screens 서비스를 위한 두 개의 핵심 기술 분야는 다양한 접속망들을 지원할 수 있는 핵심망 기술 및 단일 응용 계층 기술 이다. 본 논문에서는 휴대 방송 응용 계층 표준인 OMA BCAST(Open Mobile Alliance Mobile Broadcast Services Enabler Suite)와 IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem)를 연동하여 상기 두 개의 핵심 기술 분야를 해결할 수 있는 기술적 제안을 한다. 또한 상기 제안 기술을 최소의 비용으로 현재의 멀티미디어 콘텐츠망에 제공할 수 있는 응용 계층 멀티케스트 방법을 제안하고, 이에 대한 성능 분석을 수행한다.

본 논문은 P2P(Peer to Peer) IPTV(Internet Protocol Television) 서비스를 위한 세션 제어 모델을 제시하고, 제시된 모델에 근거한 IPTV 세션 제어 절차에 대해 논한다. 별도의 전용망에 의해 관련 트래픽이 처리되는 공중 IPTV(Public IPTV)와 달리 P2P IPTV 트래픽은 인터넷 접속 트래픽의 일부로 망에 의해 처리되어야 한다. 따라서 P2P IPTV 세션 제어는 IPTV를 구성하는 TPS(Triple Play Service) 트래픽을 기존 인터넷 트래픽과 분리하여 적절하게 제어할 수 있어야 하고, 분리된 TPS 트래픽을 차별화하여 처리하는 QoS(Quality of Service) 제어 기능을 포함해야 한다. 뿐만 아니라 P2P IPTV 세션 제어는 불특정 다수에 의한 비디오 전송을 효과적으로 지원하기 위한 적절한 멀티캐스트 제어 기능을 반드시 포함해야 한다. 본 논문의 P2P IPTV 세션 제어 모델은 상호 연동성(Inter-operability)이 보장되는 P2P IPTV 플랫폼의 조기 구축에 기여할 수 있도록 표준 SIP(Session Initiation Protocol), IGMP(Internet Group Management Protocol), 그리고 COPS(Common Open Policy Service) 프로토콜에 근거하여 설계되었다.

The convergence of broadcasting and telecommunication services is being accelerated by broadband networks, digital broadcasting and Web2.0. This paper describes the definition and service characteristics of IPTV as a representative of broadcasting and telecommunication convergence services. Especially, the changes of infrastructure and technology for IPTV2.0 are addressed in terms of the service features of mobility, intelligence and participation. IPTV2.0 shall be characterized by the open IPTV service based on Web2.0 and the mobile IPTV service over the heterogeneous networks employing various wireless/wired access technologies. The IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) and Service Delivery Platform (SDP) technologies are increasingly considered to support the personalization and openness. The mobility management technology is being evolved to provide QoS-guaranteed mobile communication services to users at anytime and anywhere. IPTV2.0 services and platforms are also anticipated to be core components to achieve knowledge-based ubiquitous society. IPTV2.0 contents are required to be integrated with the enhanced metadata to efficiently support search, selection, convergence and delivery of the contents. Moreover, those contents shall be enhanced to provide the scalable services which is adaptable to the network status and user preferences. Therefore, the networking technologies for IPTV2.0 should tightly cooperate with application services and adaptive contents. Those technologies will be developed to construct the ubiquitous content service platform considering the evolution of networks and various converged services.
