In this study, A DDC online system was developed which provides subject access and browsing function for class numbers or subject terms. A knowledgebase of the DDC Schedules and Relative Index was designed for this purpose using IBM-PC. From the DDC 20th edition, subjects from 004 to 006, covering‘data processing’,‘computer science’‘programming and progrms’, and etc., were selected for this experiment. DDC schedules are represented as a frame structure which is apt to describe hierachical structures. This experiment, joining the DDC to the information retrieval environment of an online catalog, will contribute to the future of the online DDC system by providing possiblities for search strategies not feasible through the alphabetical approach of subject headings and keywords presently supported by online catalogs.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate search efficiency of controlled vocabulary versus uncontrolled vocabulary subject access in online catalog systems. The question of the effectiveness of controlled versus uncontrolled vocabulary in information retrieval has been raised in many literatures. A debate continues in the Library and Information Science Professions over the relative merit, appropriateness, and efficiency of uncontrolled vocabulary subject access in online catalog systems. Actually users used to combine uncontrolled vocabulary subject searching with controlled vocabulary subject searching. But the success of user's subject search depends on his choice of search terms. Also the technical developments that facilitate cooperation among information services in general make it increasingly possible for such cooperation to take place on an international level. In this study, several common types of vocabularies on online catalog systems are described and compared, especially usages of vocabularies in multilingual environment are analyzed.

A given product's online product reviews build up to form largely positive or negative reviews or mixed reviews that include both the positive and negative reviews. While the homogeneously positive or negative reviews help readers identify the generally praised or criticized product, the mixed reviews with minority opinions potentially contain valuable information about the product. We present a method of retrieving minority opinions from the online product reviews using the skewness of positive/negative reviews. The proposed method first classifies the positive/negative product reviews using a sentiment dictionary and then calculates the skewness of the classified results to identify minority reviews. Minority review retrieval experiments were conducted on smartphone and movie reviews, and the F1-measures were 24.6% (smartphone) and 15.9% (movie) and the accuracies were 56.8% and 46.8% when the individual reviews' sentiment classification accuracies were 85.3% and 78.8%. The theoretical performance of minority review retrieval is also discussed.

In this paper, this app is an online learning tool web application that helps learners learn efficiently. It discusses how learners can improve their learning efficiency in these three aspects: retrieval practice, systematization, metacognition. Through this web service, learners can proceed with learning with a flash card-based retrieval practice. In this case, a method of managing a flash card in a form similar to a directory-file system using a composite pattern is described. Learners can systematically organize their knowledge by converting flash cards into a mind map. The color of the mind map varies according to the learner's learning progress, and learners can easily recognize what they know and what they do not know through color. In this case, it is proposed to build a deep learning model to improve the accuracy of an algorithm for determining and predicting learning progress.

Purpose - Generally, the consumer's decision-making process for restaurant selection is simple and familiar. However, online information becomes important because the decision-making process of consumers becomes complicated in new restaurants and special situations. Because consumers can search for information online, information retrieval is now possible in selecting new restaurants. In particular, consumers often make decisions based on online information when making restaurant reservations. Research design, data, and methodology - All items were measured based on previous studies. The data were collected from customers who had visited the store by visiting the web page of the food service franchise within the last 3 months for the panel of the online survey institute. The questionnaires were surveyed from July 2 to July 11, 2018 for about 10 days. A mail and a message were sent to 2,000 people, and 310 people were asked to complete the questionnaire. Total of 303 data were used in the questionnaire, excluding 7 insufficient data. Results - The findings of this study are as follows: Consensus, vividness, and neutrality have positive effects on enjoyment. Consensus have positive effect on anxiety, but vividness and neutrality did not have significant effect on anxiety. Also, enjoyment has a positive influence on intention to visit, and anxiety has a negative influence on visit intention. Conclusions - First, franchise companies online advertising in a variety of ways, but they are mixed with other customers' WOM and offered to consumers. In this case, the information provided by the company may be distorted. Therefore, a restaurant franchise company needs to operate an official online channel to provide accurate information to its customers. Second, it is necessary to make contents so that other customers can participate in online channels of food service franchise companies. Third, food service franchise company should produce enough online contents to experience indirectly even if the customer does not visit the store directly. Fourth, food service franchise company needs to prepare a way for many customers to participate in many official contents.

This study is an attempt to furnish some helpful data for the maximum use of online information retrieval systems based on the comparative analysis of commands and operating terms employed by DIALOG, ORBIT and BRS which are three largest information retrieval systems in the world. To begin with, the historical development, service contents and retrieval functions of three systems were overviewed in the second chapter, on the basis of which the concrete functions and contents of the commands and the operating terms of the three systems were compared and analyzed one another. Commands were explained divided into basic and special ones. The basic commands subdivided into 44 items were put into the form of a diagram(Table 1). The special commands were first subdivided into search commnad, output-related commands and su n.0, pplementary commands, and then 14 items of which were comparatively analyzed and were represented as a chart(Table 2). In addition, any stand-alone commands employed by each system were also analyzed as a chart(Table 3). The Operating terms other than commands were subdivided into 16 items and were represented as a chart(Table 4). Password, inverted file, search step number in search session, etc were explained to the very detailed extent. A self-evident, single word is that the through understanding of commands is essential to the maximm use of all the functions of each of three systems.

From the lack of common rule for the description of the characters and terms in bibliographic databases, it was hard to share information with other organizations and to obtain relevant bits of information through online retrieval. In this paper, the authors suggest a rule for the transcription of symbols and letters, that are found in articles. but impossible to input through CRT terminals, into the symbols and letters which is capable of input and retrieval. And, in the 'Hangul orthography' and 'Description rule of the borrowed words' which are officially announced by the Ministry of Education, more than two ways are permited for the expression of terms. In that case, to improve retrieval efficiency and to prevent 'confusion in description, they are regulated.

In this paper, we will introduce some method about retrieving suitable images to game or adjusting game difficulty in enjoying some contents like mini-game. It will use the technology about extracting color and texture features in content-based image retrieval in image processing. So in card game, it select card image automatically. And by controlling seed image number, we can adjusting game difficulty. Through the experiment, it shows that our image retrieval method can retrieve more useful images that can be used in game than others.

Appearance of full-text online is the most encouraging phenomenon ·during the development of databases. The full-text databases of today is derived from by-product of electronic publication of printed materials. Now, there are also some movements toward electronic production of documents in Korea although not powerful. The present study is designed to examine the characteristics and effective retrieval method of full-text databases now commercially available through various vendors. The outline of this paper IS as follows: First, background and present situation of existing full-text database services through national and worldwide are examined. Second, free-text searching system of full-text databases is compared with controlled vocabulary system. The factors influencing on free-text retrieval performance, searching thesaurus, and hybrid or compromising system, which is using limited controlled vocabulary in conjunction with natural language for the enrichment needed for practical operation of the . system, are examined. Third, user demands through the analysis of preceding studies on 'various types of full-text databases are recognised. Fouth, application of CD-ROM full-text database to the libraries and information centers is examined as prospective resources for them. Finally, some problems and prospect of full-text databases are presented.
