Research design, data and methodology: This study performed a survey that targeted people who have purchased travel products using Online Travel Agencies in the past year at Incheon International Airport. Out of 280 questionnaires, this study selected 249(88.9%) questionnaires for analysis. In analysis, this study used statistical package called 'SPSS 22'. Results: Based on the results, this study identified that company reputation and transactional stability influenced consumers' intent to share anecdotal and practical information. Conclusions: This study discovered several major findings. First, 'convenience' and 'price', two major factors in service quality, imposed positive effects on word-of-mouth intention of consumers. In particular, 'convenience' had the most significant impact. Next, this study verified the moderating effects of 'transaction safety' and 'reputation' on the effect relationships between 'convenience' and 'price', and consumer word-of-mouth intention. The results conclude that, in fact, some statistically significant differences among the effect degrees of the two independent variables on the dependent variable according to the safety level of transaction on Online Travel Agencies website do exist. In short, 'transaction safety' variable does have moderating effects on the above relationships.

  • Purpose: This study aims to examine how to review contents of experiential and utilitarian products (e.g., skincare products) and how to affect review helpfulness by applying natural language processing techniques. Research design, data, and methodology: This study uses 69,633 online reviews generated for the products registered at Amazon.com by 13 Korean cosmetic firms. The authors identify key topics that emerge about consumers' use of skincare products such as skin type and skin trouble, by applying bigram analysis. The review content variables are included in the review helpfulness model, including other important determinants. Results: The estimation results support the positive effect of review extremity and content on the helpfulness. In particular, the reviewer's skin type information was recognized as highly useful when presented together as a basis for high-rated reviews. Moreover, the content related to skin issues positively affects review helpfulness. Conclusions: The positive relationship between extreme reviews and helpfulness of reviews challenges the findings from prior literature. This result implies that an in-depth study of the effect of product types on review helpfulness is needed. Furthermore, a positive effect of review content on helpfulness suggests that applying big data analytics can provide meaningful customer insights in the online retail industry.

  • This study is about online purchases of foods that have been reluctant to deal with distribution processes and reliability issues. We find out that attributes of the online food market affects behavior intention and whether it differs according to consumption tendency. A survey was conducted on consumers who had ever purchased food online for hypothesis testing. Reliability and feasibility were reviewed for the collected data and the hypothesis was verified through structural equation model analysis. While product diversity, product information and customer service factors of the online food market significantly affect behavior intention, price is not. We identified differences in the impact of behavior intention on consumption tendencies. For the Gaseongbi group, only the product information factors have significant effect on behavior, and for the Gasimbi group, the price and customer service factors have a significant effect on behavior intention. The findings provide theoretical and practical implications for marketers to study various marketing method based on consumer tendencies.

The perceived value of online travel agency website users has positive impart on satisfaction and repurchase intention. Satisfaction of online travel agency web site users have positive impacts on repurchase intention. But safety has no impact on perceived value while positive impacts on satisfaction was affected. Conclusions - First, in the online travel agency web site e-service quality, safety has no impact on perceived value while it was shown to have positive impacts on satisfaction because the users of online travel agency web sites believe that the protection of personal information, the defense of cracker and the safeguard of payment security are the basic premises of website operation. Although safety does not have impacts on perceived value, users benefits will suffer damage when hacker intrusion and other accidents occur so that online travel agency web sites should not ignore the security concerns. • This study tests consumer responses to online product recommendation service offered by a website. A product recommendation service refers to a filtering system that predicts and shows items that consumers would like to purchase based on their searches or pre-purchase information. The survey is conducted on 300 people in an age group between 20 and 40 years in a panel of an online survey firm. Data are analyzed using confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling by AMOS 20.0. The results show that personalization quality does not have a significant effect on trust, but relationship quality and technology quality have a positive effect on trust. Three types of quality of recommendation service also have a positive effect on commitment. Trust and commitment are factors that increase service usage intentions. In addition, this study reveals the moderating effect of light users vs heavy users based on online shopping time. Light users show a negative effect of personalization quality on trust, indicating that they are likely to be uncomfortable to the service using personal information, compared to heavy users. This study also finds that trust vs commitment is an important factor increasing service usage intentions for heavy users vs light users.
