Edge Detection using Genetic Algorithm (유전자 알고리즘을 이용한 윤곽선 추출)

  • The existing edge detection methods can not represent the real edge of object at fitting point or detect the edge which has unsufficient connecting trait. Especially, the two-fold thick edge detected by these methods cannot coincide real boundary of subject and it's location. To overcome these problems, we introduce the Genetic Algorithm(GA) in edge detection. The energy function is the value of fixel's satisfaction degree to edge condition. And it consists of the fitness value to image formation type, fitness value to connecting trait to it's neighboring edge and evalulation function which can represents the edge at fitting point as one fixel. This method is superior to remove the noise in edge detection than the existing methods. And it also detects the clear and exact edge because it can find the one fixel which is located at fitting point and has strong connecting trait.

A Study of the Effect of Intangible Asset on Firm Value : Focused on KOSDAQ-Listed Medium-Sized Companies (기업의 무형자산이 기업가치에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 : 코스닥 상장 중견기업을 중심으로)

  • According to the growing importance of science and technology policy, investment in research and development (R&D) has been increased. In this context, a patent as one of outcome of firm's systematic R&D investment is the way to hold a dominant position in companies' technology competitiveness and also to protect technology right. This study attempts to find the effects of input resources and intellectual property production activity on company value. It conducted empirical analysis based on 238 KOSDAQ-listed and medium-sized firms. Using the previous research, this study configurated research variables about activity of patent production, company value, and input of resources. Through these variables, it aims to know the effect of input of resources and activity of patent production on company value. First, the result of regression analysis shows that R&D cost has the positive effect on a patent production and sales promotion cost positively affects on the registration of the trademark. Second, the output of regression analysis indicates that a patent has the positive effect on company value but a trademark has not. With regard to the input of resources, R&D cost has the influence on company value but sales promotion cost has not. This study attempts to find the effectiveness of company's intellectual property registration on its value and suggests a way that the systematic R&D investment contributes the growth of company value.

Domestic Bituminous Coal's Calorific Value Trend Analysis (2010~2014) and Carbon Emission Factor Development (국내 유연탄의 발열량 추이 분석(2010~2014년) 및 탄소배출계수 개발)

  • Korea's energy consumption has been constantly increasing. Final energy consumption was increased by an annual average of 2.9% compared to 2010. The consumption of all energy sources except for its oil was increased during the same time. While electric demand has increased coal consumption increased rapidly. Therefore, calorfic value and carbon emission factor development can improve the quality of Korea's greenhouse gas inventory. Calorific value is the amount of heat generated while burning coal. Caloric value is one of the most important factors in the development of carbon emission factors. Calorific value is used as the basis for the analysis of the various energy statistics. This study has calculated the other bituminous coal and coking coal's calorfic value by the data received from domestic coal-fired power plants and steel manufacturer. Calorofic value's trend analysis period is the year of 2010~2014. Through analyzing the carbon content it was calculated the carbon emission factor. The bituminous coal and coking coal's uncertainty analysis was performed using a Monte Carlo simulation.

  • This paper studies a boundary value problem for a linear coupled Luikov's system of heat and mass diffusion in one-dimensional case. Using an a priori estimate, we prove the uniqueness of the solution. Also, some traveling wave solutions and explicit solutions are obtained by using the transformation ${\xi}$ = x - ct and separation method respectively.

One room Residential Dweller's Housing Behavior and Housing Need (원룸주택거주자의 주거행태와 요구도)

  • This study examined one room(studio apartment) residential deweller's housing behavior and housing need, and the relationship between the sense of housing values and housing satisfaction of one-room residence, The study surveyed 302 one-room residents in Busan city. The researcher modified, complimented, and used the previous researches on housing values and housing satisfaction. The analysis of the data used SPSS Win 10.0 program. The results of the research can be summarized as follows: 1. The motive of choosing one-room residence was mainly the closeness to the school or work, Jeonse(Rent with a one-room deposit) was more common than ownership, and the size is one-room residence was 10 to 15 Pyeong. 2. Among the five housing values of one-room residence dwellers, that is, amenity, indoor and outdoor environment, economy/convenience, convenience in transportation, and the interior functionality, the convenience in transportation was ranked highest, and the indoor and out door environment and economy/convenience followed. 3. The housing satisfaction of one-room residents was highest in location, and also high in the safety and the security or privacy, and the convenience of inside facility.

A Boundary Element Method for Nonlinear Boundary Value Problems

  • We consider a numerical scheme for solving a nonlinear boundary integral equation (BIE) obtained by reformulation the nonlinear boundary value problem (BVP). We give a simple alternative to the standard collocation method for the nonlinear BIE. This method consists of one conventional linear system and another coupled linear system resulting from an auxiliary BIE which is obtained by differentiating both side of the nonlinear interior integral equations. We obtain an analogue BIE through the perturbation of the fundamental solution of Laplace's equation. We procure the super-convergence of approximate solutions.

A Modified Grey-Based k-NN Approach for Treatment of Missing Value

  • Huang proposed a grey-based nearest neighbor approach to predict accurately missing attribute value in 2004. Our study proposes which way to decide the number of nearest neighbors using not only the deng's grey relational grade but also the wen's grey relational grade. Besides, our study uses not an arithmetic(unweighted) mean but a weighted one. Also, GRG is used by a weighted value when we impute missing values. There are four different methods - DU, DW, WU, WW. The performance of WW(Wen's GRG & weighted mean) method is the best of any other methods. It had been proven by Huang that his method was much better than mean imputation method and multiple imputation method. The performance of our study is far superior to that of Huang.

SINGULAR THIRD-ORDER 3-POINT BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEMS

  • In this paper, we prove existence of infinitely many positive and concave solutions, by means of a simple approach, to $3^{th}$ order three-point singular boundary value problem {$x^{\prime\prime\prime}(t)=\alpha(t)f(t,x(t))$, 0 < t < 1, $x(0)=x'(\eta)=x^{\prime\prime}(1)=0$, (1/2 < $\eta$ < 1). Moreover with respect to multiplicity of solutions, we don't assume any monotonicity on the nonlinearity. We rely on a combination of the analysis of the corresponding vector field on the phase-space along with Knesser's type properties of the solutions funnel and the well-known Krasnosel'ski$\breve{i}$'s fixed point theorem. The later is applied on a new very simple cone K, just on the plane $R^2$. These extensions justify the efficiency of our new approach compared to the commonly used one, where the cone $K\;{\subset}\;C$ ([0, 1], $\mathbb{R}$) and the existence of a positive Green's function is a necessity.

  • Korea's inspection of cadastral surveying value is carrying out based on cadastral law, and has to enter in cadaster after government office's final inspection of cadastral surveying of land alteration according to the request of land owner or the state. Therefore, government office has to inspect the value of surveying before arranging cadastral book, and has to confirm whether the surveying error is whithin the range of allowing one. If it is, a govenment office has to arrange the cadastral book according to resulting Value. This study investigates and analizes annual land alteration of Sungnam city and analizes the situation of government office's cadastral surving value, the number of inspectors, and equipments. As a result, this study shows the problem and provides effective basic materials, increases the efficacy of the state's cadastral surveying inspection, and minimiges land dispute.
