  • This study try introduce a cell manufacturing form and to make the productivity in a conveyor line manufacture for the customer requirement and market change. The case research from JIT theory that made the model to make a productivity enhance through the cell line in a conveyor line and U-line. This research was subject with a cosmetics manufacture company, therefor we can raise the quality enhance, personnel expenses and reduction of delivery effectiveness in a stroke types of industry consequently.

  • In this thesis presents line balancing problems of two-sided and mixed model assembly line widely used in practical fields using genetic algorithm for reducing throughput time, cost of tools and fixtures and improving flexibility of assembly lines. Two-sided and mixed model assembly line is a special type of production line where variety of product similar in product characteristics are assembled in both sides. This thesis proposes the genetic algorithm adequate to each step in tow-sided and mixed model assembly line with suitable presentation, individual, evaluation function, selection and genetic parameter. To confirm proposed genetic algorithm, we apply to increase the number of tasks in case study. And for evaluation the performance of proposed genetic algorithm, we compare to existing algorithm of one-sided and mixed model assembly line. The results show that the algorithm is outstanding in the problems with a larger number of stations or larger number of tasks.

  • This paper concerns developing a real time on-line light facility management system using internet and building a database system for control box and street light. Also, we designed the system to minimize the disparity with the conventional management system by referring to a old management ledger format. Thus, the proposed method may enable the system manager to administer the light facility efficiently and to reduce the manpower cost, and time economically.

  • This paper is interested in analyzing the CSFs of 3 different kinds of on-line digital products. They are on-line digital products of (1) transaction, (2) relations, and (3) interests. This study first tried to define the on-line digital products based in the above three categories and then to find the factors that might effect the customer acceptability in each product groups. Independent variables used in this study are characters of products, characters of users, and system environments. This paper that on-line survey has been conducted for the study's specialty and the collected resource was analyzed by using the SPSS 10.0K statistics package. Using multiple regression, this study finds that major factors effecting the user acceptability of each group are different from one another. For example, system environment variables such as speediness, system performance effects the customer acceptability of digital products of Interest(game, avartar, etc). Much more then that of products of relations(information service, etc). Therefore empirical findings are suggested in the conclusion.

Gifted Students' Perceptions of On-line and Off-line Gifted Education in Mathematics (수학 영재교육에 대한 일반 영재학생과 사이버 영재학생의 인식 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine how middle school students perceived the operation of on-line and off-line math-gifted education. The research questions were as follows: 1. How do students recognize the current situation concerning the operation of on-line and off-line gifted education? 2. How do students recognize the effect and satisfaction level of on-line and off-line gifted education? 3. How do students recognize the improvement of on-line and off-line gifted education? The subjects in this study were 591 students who included 208 in on-line classes and 383 in off-line classes. The results were as follows: First, the students who were enrolled in the on-line and off-line classes regarded gifted people as ones who had a superb ability in a particular field and as ones who think creatively. Second, all the students in on-line and off-line classes found gifted education to be of use to developing their potentials, and they had the biggest preference for experiential field study as the most effective teaching method. Third, concerning their needs for the management of gifted classes, they asked for immediate Q&A services over the Internet.

  • Printed circuit board (PCB) assembly line configuration is characterized by very long set-up times and high work in process (WIP) inventory level. The scheduling method can significantly reduce the set-up times and WIP inventory level. Greedy sequence dependent scheduling (GSDS) method is proposed based on the current methods. The proposed method is compared with the current method in terms of three performance measures: line throughput, average WIP inventory level, and implementation complexity.

  • In modern dynamic management environment, there is growing recognition that? information & knowledge management systems are essential for CEO's efficient/effective decision making. As a key component to cope with this current, we suggest the management performance analysis syystem based on Knowledge Discovery in Database (KDD). The system measures management performance that is considered with both VA(Value- Added), which represents stakeholder's point of view and EVA(Economic Value-Added), which represents shareholder's point of view. The relation ship between management performance and some 80 financial ratios is analyzed, and then important financial ratios are drawn out. In analyzing the relationship, we applied KDD process which includes such as multidimensional cube, OLAP(On-Line Analytic Process), data mining and AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process). To demonstrate the performance of the system, we conducted a case study using financial data over the 16-years from 1981 to 1996 of Korean automobile industry which is taken from database of KISF AS(Korea Investors Services Financial Analysis System).

  • Line capacity calculation has been used to determine optimum efficiency and safe train service for train scheduling plan and investment priority order throughout detecting bottleneck section. Because of some problems of Yamagisi and UIC methods for line capacity calculation, developing of the method of line capacity calculation and evaluation for the Korea circumstance is important. This paper deals with the integrated system of TPS(Train Performance Simulator), PES(Parameter Evaluation Simulator), LCS (Line Capacity Simulator) and sensitivity analysis for line capacity calculation model.

  • This study began the study by instructing enterprises to change Batch Production into U-Line. This study suggested TPS U-Line building model process and applied it to some of their product line. By connecting concerned process elements into continuous operations. Outside orders were also switched to inside operations and executed in continuous operations, thereby about 100Km of transit distance became zero Km, Production lead Time was incredibly reduced. After all, 90% of Production Lead Time, 50% of handling fault, 3/4 of workers decreased and Productivity per Person enhanced which involves improving Batch Production into Continuous Production and applies it to the real world, so that small and medium enterprises can consult this study if the company is willing to make an improvement to their product line.
