The systematic management of technology infrastructure increasingly becomes critical as it represents the driving power for creating competitive advantage of nations and enterprises. In this sense, public facility and equipment, which is one major asset of technology infrastructure, should be managed effectively, systematically and efficiently to increase its overall equipment effectiveness. However, the manual and off-line communication was the unique way to communicate between the suppliers who provide facilities in the public sector and the customers who utilize the facilities in the industrial sector. This communication way caused invisibility of available usage time and increase of idle time, thereby decreasing the equipment effectiveness. This paper presents an web-based scheduling system that enables real-time collaboration and information sharing for increasing the equipment effectiveness. The designed system performs scheduling, facility management, order management and customer relationship management in an on-line platform, and carries out the processing and storing of relevant information in an integrated database. The paper includes a development approach to identify business process models and standardized system models by using object-modeling technique. The deliverable of the present work will contribute to increasing the equipment effectiveness by enhancing visibility, transparency and predictability by means of the integration with a legacy Enterprise Resource Planning.

본 연구는 사이버 대학의 출범과 함께 원격 강의가 활성화되고 있는 현 시점에서 원격 강의에 대군 국내외 문헌들을 고찰하고 이를 종합, 분석하여 효율적인 원격 강의 컨텐츠 제작을 위한 고려사항들을 제시하였다. 디자인 분야에서의 원격 강의 컨텐츠 제작을 위한 고려사항들을 제안하기 위해 일반적인 고려사항뿐 아니라 원활한 커뮤니케이션이 요구되는 디자인 분야의 특성과 디자인 전공 학생들이 갖고 있는 성향 등을 고려하였다. 연구내용은 1)원격 강의 컨텐츠 개발에 관한 연구, 2) 디자인 분야에서 인터넷을 이용한 커뮤니케이션에 관한 연구, 3) 디자인 전공 학생들의 학습 유형에 관한 부분으로 나누어 고찰되었으며, 이를 종합, 분석하여 디자인 분야의 원격강의 컨텐츠 개발에 있어서의 고려사항을 제안하였다. 연구 결과 디자인 분야의 원격강의 컨텐츠 개발시 고려 사항은 강의 내용, 상호호환성, 프레젠테이션 요소, 평가 요소, 그리고 기타 제반 사항 등으로 종합해 볼 수 있다. 본 연구의 결과는 디자인 분야에서 원격 강의 컨텐츠를 작성하고자 하는 교수나 관련자에게 유용한 체크리스트로 사용될 수 있을 것이다.

정보시스템 구축 프로젝트는 전문가의 지식과 경험을 공유하면서 진행되는 업무특성을 가지며, 커뮤니케이션의 문제가 실패의 근본 원인일 가능성이 있다. 본 연구에서는 휴대형 정보통신 기기 혹은 PC의 상시접속에 의해 언제나 어디서나 응답이 가능한 온라인 소셜네트워킹(On-line Social Networking)을 프로젝트 현장에서 커뮤니케이션 시스템으로 활용할 경우 프로젝트 구성원의 업무성과에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 연구하고자 한다. 연구를 위한 구성으로 업무성과는 교류기억체계에 의해 영향을 받고, 교류기억체계는 온라인 소셜네트워킹의 특성에 의해 영향을 받는 구조방정식 모형을 수립하였다. 온라인 소셜네트워킹의 특성으로는 선행연구를 통해 시스템 특성, 지식 특성, 사회적 특성으로 분류하였다. 교류기억체계는 전문가의 위치, 전문가 인식에 기초한 신뢰, 그리고 전문가의 지식과 신뢰에 의한 업무-지식 조정의 과정을 통한 매개효과를 분석하였다. 구성원의 성과는 정보시스템 구축프로젝트에서 수행시간의 단축과 용이한 업무처리를 분석하였다. 가설의 검증 결과, 온라인 소셜네트워킹의 프로젝트에서의 활용은 구성원의 업무성과를 향상시키는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 프로젝트 현장을 중심으로 연구를 진행한 것에 의의가 있으며, 프로젝트 관리자보다는 구성원에게 초점을 맞춘 특징이 있다.

Korea has the plans to improve nation and corporate global competitiveness through reducing the logistics costs. Ministry of Knowledge Economy, as the government department of in charge of the plan, establish industrial logistics policies in 2002 and 2007 and it's about time to set up the third industrial logistics policy in 2012. There are new trends for the logistics environment in terms of environment-friendly logistics, logistics securities, win-win collaboration etc. This study propose some harmonious plans between logistic productivity and the new trends in the field of logistics. For the purpose of that, we have evaluated the second industrial logistics policy. We propose the vision and objectives of the new industrial logistics policy. The vision is entering the line of industrial logistics developed nations through the sustainable logistics innovation, and the objects are smart & green logistics, win-win collaboration, lead the new logistics trends etc. We also propose the set the system and rules to push promote the new plan. In addition, industrial logistics is the new terminology setting out use by Ministry of Knowledge Economy.

Contemporary fashion broadens its image in relation with architecture and incorporates architecture in its creative field. The aim of this research is to investigate the characteristics of 'architecture for fashion' in a social context and to verify the collaborative characteristics of post-1990s fashion and architecture. This paper describes architecture as a means of expressing contemporary style and identifies social consequences resulting from this. While high fashion in the early to mid-twentieth century followed a similar trend evident in architecture to directly apply architectural elements into the creativity of the works, high fashion from 1990 extended its creative field by using architecture to symbolically represent its image and style. In line with the possibility for fashion shows to be considered as a performance art, the potential of collaboration between architecture and fashion as an installation with audience participation is discussed. Architecture, for fashion, provides significant grounds for fashion to be recognized as a parallel, independent sphere of art. Contemporary fashion, either by itself or through collaboration with architecture, comprehends space in its zone of creation. The collaborative characteristics of post-1990s fashion and architecture is verified through case studies of the three fashion houses, 'Armani Group', 'PRADA' and 'Comme des Garςcons.'

This paper discussed the factors that necessitated information networking, types of networks, benefits of information networking, library information networking and the University of Port 0Harcourt library network initiatives. Information networking is a process of communication, exchange of ideas, resource sharing and collaboration between individuals, organizations, institutions and libraries and it is facilitated by ICTs and the internet for improved accessibility. It has been brought about by information explosion, rapid advancement in information communication technologies, inadequate funding and increased demand for quality information. Networks can be classified into local, national, regional, and international networks and are formed to serve different categories of user communities. Benefits of information networking include resource sharing, on-line conferences and participation in programmes at distant centers, collaboration among scholars in different countries. Communication flow through the internet, social media, and electronic mail. Library information networking started with the interlibrary loan which has metamorphosed into library consortia in which groups of libraries partner to coordinate activities, share resources and combine expertise. The University of Port Harcourt Library network initiatives started with an e-granary (a CD ROM) and the establishment of a local area network. The library subscribes to more than 10 electronic databases. Information networking has greatly improved the sharing of resources in acquisition and dissemination of information resources since no single institution can acquire the overwhelming number of information resources in their various formats.

In order to improve the quality of student teachers' practicum, this study analysed the current situation of student teachers' field practice in child care centers. The study also assessed the practicum implementation case of H Cyber University. First, this research examined the characteristics of practicum implementation in universities. Second, a variety of strategies based on a blended model, on/off-line lectures, professor-student interaction, university-daycare centers collaboration, e-mentoring, and student teachers' portfolios that reduce the problems of student teachers' training, were explored. Finally, the practicum implementation case that adopted these factors was assessed. The results from this case study implied that student teachers' practicums based on a blended model can be an alternative method for problem-solving in existing student teachers' training in universities.

Laser welding application for car body manufacturing has many advantages in the stiffness and the lightness of vehicle, the productivity of assembly line, and the degree of freedom in design. This presentation will express the innovation of car body manufacturing including parameter optimization, process modeling, and system integration. In this application the investment for systems was cut down dramatically by real time switching over the laser path between two welding stations. Points of technical discussion are as follows: optimization of parameters such as laser power, robot speed and trajectory, compact and useful design of jig & fixture to assure welding quality for 3 sheet-layer zinc-coated steel, system integration between 4kW Nd:YAG laser device and the other systems, on-line real time welding quality monitoring system, perfect safety standards for high power laser, minimization of consumption costs such as arc lamp, protective glass for optic, etc. Laser welding has found a place on Hyundai's production plant in conjunction with the startup of mass production of new sports car, and this production system is the result of a collaboration of its engineers. Outer side sheets are joined to inner side sheets by 122 stitch welds totally. And the length is about 2.4meter.

Shape Memory Alloys have attracted the interest of a great number of researchers in the world, and Mexico is not the exception. Research in this field started ten years ago, and is actually an active line covering the classical Cu-based and Ti-Ni alloys, but also the new Fe-based alloys. Although more basic studies have been performed at the present time, interest for applied research and technological goals is increasing. In this work we present a series of studies carried on these Shape Memory Alloys by the groups in Mexico, and explain what the interest of our groups are in the next future in this are of the Materials Science. Interdisciplinary work has been necessary in the characterization of the different alloys, and multiple techniques have been used, like Mossbauer spectroscopy, thermoelectric power, electron microscopy, ultrasound techniques, neutron and x-ray diffraction, calorimetry, among others. Collaboration With other groups in Europe and in the United States have become highly useful and productive, and some examples of such activities are also reported.

Nowadays, one of the major technical issues in manufacturing is how to implement an virtual plant as an well-designed, integrated environment for sharing information and engineering collaboration among diverse engineering activities. The systematic approaches to make a virtual plant based on a 3-dimensional CAD, cell and line simulation, database and internet technologies are proposed in this paper. To do that, measuring and 3D CAD modeling technologies of many equipments, facilities and structures of the building are developed, effective management of information including models and related files in WWW environment is implemented, and precise simulations of unit cell and whole structured plant are performed.
