R-410A/POE 오일 혼합물의 기-액상평형과 상용성에 관한 연구 (Investigation of Vapor-Liquid Equilibrium and Miscibility for R-410A/POE Oil Mixtures)

  • The vapor-liquid equilibrium and miscibility measurement apparatus was developed and used to obtain data for refrigerant/oil mixture. The vapor-liquid equilibrium and miscibility data for R-410a/POE32 and R-410A/POE46 oil mixtures are obtained over the temperature range from -20 to $60^{\circ}C\;with\;10^{\circ}C$ intervals and the oil concentration range from 0 to 90 wt%. Using the experimental data, an empirical model is developed to predict the temperature-pressure-concentration relations for R-410A/POE oil mixtures at equilibrium. In the R-410A/POE32 oil mixture, the average root-mean-square deviation between measured data and calculated results from the empirical model is 2.00% and in the R-410a/POE46 oil mixture, that is 3.69%. Flory-Huggins theory is also used to predict refrigerant/oil mixture behavior. Miscibility for R-410A/POE32 oil mixture was observed all over the experimental conditions. Immiscibility for R-410A/POE46 oil mixture was observed at the low oil concentrations(10~30 wt%).

블로바이 가스 내 오일입자들을 제거하기 위한 필터의 유동특성 수치해석 (Numerical Analysis of Flow Characteristics of the Filter for Separating Oil Mist from Blow-by Gas)

  • This research was performed to determine the oil separation characteristics of the specially designed oil filter installed in a PCV cylinder head passage. The oil filter was specially designed with fleece for separating oil mist from blow-by gas. The fleece, made of fiber fabric material, is placed in the oil filter case to absorb oil mist with a small pressure drop during blow-by gas through the filter. To do this, 3-D CFD analysis was simulated for the simplified PCV system with the oil filter using the commercial code, Ansys CFX. Results showed that the oil filter's efficiency with fleece sharply increased as oil droplet size increased.

  • Oil seals are most essential parts in mechanical lubrication system to maintain the close gaps between stationary and high rotating components, and to help prevent oil leakages. Oil seals also can prevent harmful contaminants entering from outside to machinery, especially in severe environments. Therefore, the oil seals have an important performance in the machinery components. The performance of the oil seals are influenced by the design variables such as amount of interference gap between the main lip and shaft, the angle of main lip at air and oil sides and the distance between the garter spring and main lip. In the present study, a finite element analysis was performed to evaluate the oil seal performance with the considerations of number of oil seal dust lips and angle of the lip at oil side with the different design variables. As a result from the FEM analysis, the stress and contact pressure distributions was derived, based on this, performance of the sealing and durability were determined.

마이크로핀관 증발기내 전열 성능에 미치는 냉동기유의 영향 (Effect of refrigeration lubricants on the heat transfer performance in the microfin tube evaporator)

  • The present study experimentally investigated the effect of refrigeration lubricant on the heat transfer performance in the straight sections and U-bend of a microfin tube evaporator by using R-22/mineral oil and R-407C/POE oil. The apparatus consisted of test section with U-bend, preheater, condenser, oil injection and sampling devices, magnetic pump, mass flow meter etc. The experimental parameters were oil concentration of 0 to 5 wt%, inlet quality of 0.1 to 0.5, mass flux of 219 and $400kg/m^2s$ and heat flux of 10 and $20kW/m^2$. The effects of parameters on the heat transfer coefficients were large in the order of inlet quality, mass flux and heat flux as oil concentration got increased. As oil concentration was increased, heat transfer coefficients were continuously decreased for R-22 and increased by 3% up to the concentration of 1% and then decreased for R-407C under the condition of large inlet quality, and small mass flux and heat flux. But, the heat transfer coefficients were increased up to the concentration of 3% and then decreased for both R-22 and R-407C refrigerants under the opposite conditions. The variation of enhancement factors for R-407C was under 50% of that for R-22 and the variation with respect to the positions in the test section was small. The pressure drops were increased for both R-22 and R-407C refrigerants as oil concentration was increased. The pressure drops for R-407C were smaller by the maximum of 18% than those for R-22.

  • 친수성-고점도 자성유체를 Nd-영구자석과 병용하여 기름밀봉 장치로의 개발을 목표로 실험 검토하였다. etylene glycol 액상중에 $Fe_{3}O_{4}$를 분산시킨 자성유체는 매질의 비등점이 다른 액상보다 높고 점성이 높아서 기름밀봉 성능을 향상시킬 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 본 장치의 부품중 대부분 을 이루고 있는 철강재를 부식시키지 않았다. 본 자성유체중 $Fe_{3}O_{4}$ 농도가 증가할수록 점도 와 자성율이 증가하여 기름밀봉 성능을 향상시킬 수 있었다. 본 장치는 대기압하에서 기름밀봉 성능이 매우 우수하였다.

  • 판형열교환기의 증발과정에서 오일에 위한 영향을 알아보기 위해 마이크로 기어 펌프를 이용한 냉매-R134a 순환 성능실험 장치를 구성하여, 증발열전달 실험을 수행하였다. POE 오일을 펌프를 이용하여 냉매 질량 유량에 비례하도록 0~5%를 첨가하여, 오일순환량에 따른 열전달계수 변화를 측정하였다. 오일순환율이 증가할수록 R134a 증발 열전달계수는 감소하며, 압력손실은 증가한다. 질량유량 80 g/s, 증발 온도 $30^{\circ}C$ 일 때, 오일 순환율 2%조건에서 무오일 대비 약 10%의 열전달계수가 감소하였고, 압력손실은 약 10% 증가하였다.

Allyl Isothiocyanate 유발 피부염에 의한 척수후각세포의 활동성 변동 (Modification in the Responsiveness of Dorsal Horn Cells during Allyl Isothiocyanate-Induced Inflammation in the Cat)

  • The present study was performed to investigate modification in the electrophysiological characteristics of cat dorsal horn cells during neurogenic inflammation induced by mustard oil. The results obtained were summarized as follows: 1) Following subcutaneous injection of mustard oil the majority of wide dynamic range (WDR) cells (10/15 units) showed enhanced responses (80%) to brush, while the responses to all types of mechanical stiumli were enhanced in 3/15 units. One cell was further activated by pinch and the another was not affected at all after induction of inflammation. 2) The sensitization of WDR cell was resulted from subcutaneous injection of mustard oil either inside or outside of the receptive field (RF), whereas the spontaneous activity increased only after mustard oil was injected inside of the RF. 3) In the animal with inflammation the responses of high threshold (HT) cell to noxious stimulus were not altered, while HT cell responded to such mechanical stimulus as pressure which was usually ineffective in normal animals. 4) After induction of inflammation, low threshold (LT) cell appeared to be converted to WDR cell, showing responses not only to brush but also to pressure and pinch. 5) The mustard oil-induced inflammation enhanced responses of WDR and HT cells to the thermal stimuli and also resulted in a pronounced after-discharge in WDR cells. 6) After subcutaneous injection of lidocaine, the increased background activity of WDR cells due to inflammation was almost completely abolished. 7) A subcutaneous injection of mustard oil inside of the RF invariably desensitized the dorsal horn cells which receive sensory inputs from the inflamed RF. From the results of Present study it was revealed that a neurogenic inflammation induced by mustard oil resulted in an enhancement of responses of cat dorsal horn cells to mechanical and thermal stimuli.

  • Crank pin bearing in two-stroke marine diesel engine is operated under quite severe conditions since the elements are big and heavy and the sliding speed is very slow. Therefore it is very difficult to form oil film. In this paper, two types of bearings with different groove shape are compared. One has circumferential oil groove at lower position and the other has lengthwise oil groove at upper position. Bearing clearance, oil inlet pressure and length to diameter ratio are selected as design parameters. Locus of journal center and minimum oil film thickness are investigated to compare two cases.

경유가 혼입된 엔진오일의 특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study of Diluted Engine Oil Characteristics by Diesel Fuel)

  • An experimental study was conducted to evaluate characteristic variation of diluted engine oil by diesel fuel and its effects on engine components. Especially, engine oil was made to have $15\%$ fuel content. To predict existing diesel fuel content in engine oil after test was used the viscosity calibration curve. About $54\%$ percent of diesel fuel in diluted engine oil was distillated by various paths related to reciprocating motion of piston and the rest diesel fuel plays an important role for decreasing engine oil viscosity. Test results show that lowered engine ell viscosity by diesel fuel dilution become a reason of increasing engine elements wear, Therefore, this caused the quantity of blow-by gas to increase and main gallery pressure to decrease.

Flow Analyses Inside Jet Pumps Used for Oil Wells

  • Jet pump is one type of artificial lifts and is used when depth and deviation of producing wells increases and pressure depletion occurs. In the present study, numerical analysis has been carried out to analyze the flow behavior and find the performance of the jet pump. Reynolds-averaged Navier Stokes equations were solved and k-${\varepsilon}$ turbulence model was used for simulations. Water and light oil as primary fluids were used to pump water, light oil and heavy oil. The ratios of area and length to diameter of the mixing tube were considered as design parameters. The pump efficiency was considered to maximize for the downhole conditions. It was found that the increase in viscosity and density of the secondary fluid reduced efficiency of the system. Water as primary fluid produced better efficiency than the light oil. It was also found that the longer throat length increased efficiency upto 40% if light oil was used as primary fluid and secondary fluid viscosity was 350 cSt.
