Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine dry eye syndrome and ocular fatigue according to the status of contact lens wearing and management among female university students. Methods: The subjects were 195 female university students wearing contact lenses. Ocular Surface Disease Index (OSDI) and Virtual Reality Symptom Questionnaire (VRSQ) were used to determine the level of dry eye syndrome and ocular fatigue. The SPSS/WIN 21.0 program was used for analysis of data. Results: Significant differences in the level of dry eye syndrome were observed according to the period of case solution change (F=3.36, p=.037) and the reasons for the change of lens (F=4.56, p=.004). In ocular fatigue, significant differences were observed according to the price of lens (F=3.53, p=.031), rinse in storing lens in a case (t=-2.57, p=.011), and learning about contact lens (t=-2.01, p=.046). A significant positive correlation was observed between dry eye syndrome and ocular fatigue in the subjects. Conclusion: The results of this study show that some subjects have problems in wearing and management of contact lenses. Therefore, an education program related to contact lenses should be provided to contact lens wearers to improve the status of wearing and management of contact lenses.

일부 눈의 합병증은 콘택트렌즈에 연관된 것에 의해 감염이 관련되어 있다. 특히 눈 합병증의 대부분의 원인은 감염의 여러 경로로 인한 미생물인 것이다. 그러므로 환자는 눈 병의 부작용에 의해서 즉시 콘택트 렌즈 착용을 중단한다. 저자는 실험실에서 미생물을 분석하였다. 이것은 Chryseamonas meningosepticum와 Enterobacter sp.의 혼합된 성장으로서 확인되었다.

The cause of poor visual acuity was connected to the damage by the ocular trauma related. Especially the most cause of visual disorder was identified as irregular pupil by ocular damage. Therefore most patients stopped the wearing of the contact lens immediately by the visual decrease effects from irregular pupil disorder. But we had suggested that the contact lens wear was a very intensive visual therapy. We had identified the visual recover from several tests using the contact lens treatment.

굴절률이 같은 안경렌즈에 탄성파를 이용한 단색광의 회절무늬로부터 렌즈에 전달되는 탄성파의 속도를 측정하여 렌즈의 불량 유무(有無)를 확인 할 수 있다. 광학적 heterodyne 방법으로 광의 회절무늬를 얻어 종 탄성파의 속도를 측정한 결과 안경렌즈의 경우 중굴절 렌즈는 평균 6588.5575 m/s이고, 고굴절 렌즈는 평균 3973.53 m/s로 측정되었다.

본 연구는 안경원이나 안과에 내원한 환자의 문진에서 반드시 알아두어야 할 알코올과 약물이 눈과 콘택트렌즈에 미치는 영향을 이해하기 위해 수행하였다. 전신질환이나 국소 이상으로 복용하는 약물, 연고, 점안액 등이 눈의 건강 특히 시력에 미치는 영향과 콘택트렌즈 착용에 미치는 영향을 고찰하였다. 점안약을 제외한 경구투여 약물은 대부분 동공에 변화를 일으키며 누액생산의 감소, 황반이나 망막이상, 시신경 이상 등을 유발하고 점안약은 주로 각막과 결막에 영향을 마치는 것으로 알려지고 있다. 가장 많이 사용되는 안과용 약물은 스테로이드인데 상대적으로 부작용이 많으므로 신중을 기해야한다. 알코올을 섭취하면 탈수 현상과 영양부족 그리고 산동제로서 역할을 하여 나안 시력과 교정시력 저하, 복시, 암순응 불량, 글레어 Glare 회복시간 지연, 입체감 감소, 파랑-노랑 또는 적-녹색 손상, 시력의 환상 상태 등이 나타난다. 정상적인 순목과 누액 구성 성분이 적당하면 콘택트렌즈 착용을 성공적으로 할 수 있으나 빈번한 약물투여가 정상적인 기능을 방해하므로 정확히 문진하여 약물과 콘택트렌즈 관계를 고려해야 한다. 전신 또는 국소 투약이 소프트렌즈 착용과 변색에 미치는 영향 그리고 소프트렌즈는 약물의 저장소 역할을 하므로 방부제의 독성 및 알레르기 반응도 고려해야 성공적으로 콘택트렌즈를 착용할 수 있다. 또한 콘택트렌즈로 인한 염증성 반응을 치료하기 위해 Corticosteroid 와 non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs(NSAIDs)가 이용되는데 스테로이드는 효과가 뛰어나지만 부작용이 많으므로 단기간 투여해야 한다.

Today's diopter of optical lens can reveal the derivation apparently compared with that of refraction measure lens. First, this is applicable when there is a difference in the shape and thickness basically and when the lens is used for a short distance. When measure and use it, an astigmatic difference is occurred by the discordant light passage. This is also applicable to optical lens with prism diopter lens and in some cases, must be corrected relating to the diopter incidently.

전자파 차폐 기능을 가지고 있는 ITO 코팅층을 안경 유리 기판위에 마그네트론 스퍼터링 방법으로 제조하였다. 코팅된 ITO 층을 surface, profiler, four-point probe, XRD, spectrophotometer 및 Auger electron spectroscopy를 사용하여 기판 온도가 코팅층의 특성 변화에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 기판의 온도가 높을수록 전자의 농도가 증가하였으며 가시영역에서 광투과율도 향상되었다.

목적: 국소 투과율 현미경을 이용하여 안경렌즈의 투과율 분포를 분석함으로써 렌즈의 광학적 균질성을 연구하고자 한다. 방법: 안경렌즈 표면에 집광된 레이저의 투과율을 광검출기와 락인앰프로 측정하고 그 결과를 분석하였다. 코팅되지 않은 렌즈와 멀티 코팅이 된 렌즈 그리고 누진렌즈가 시료로서 분석되었다. 결과: 누진렌즈와 물리적 자극이 가해진 렌즈의 측정 결과에서 국소 투과율 현미경 분석 결과가 광학 현미경을 통한 측정 결과와 높은 일치도를 보였다. 또한 광학적 결함이 있는 곳에서 투과율의 평균값은 감소하고 표준편차는 증가하였다. 자극이 가해지지 않은 렌즈에서는 반사방지 코팅의 유무가 투과율에 큰 영향을 미치는 것을 국소 투과율 현미경과 일반적 투과율 분석 모두에서 공통적으로 분석되었다. 결론: 시료에 다양한 자극이 가해졌을 때 투과율의 분포에 변화가 생김을 국소 투과율 현미경을 통해 확인하였다. 국소 투과율 현미경을 통한 이러한 분석은 렌즈 혹은 코팅막의 균일도를 평가 혹은 확인할 수 있는 하나의 방법으로 활용될 수 있다.

A 7-month-old intact female Persian cat was diagnosed with symblepharon accompanied by epiphora, brownish ocular discharge, and ocular discomfort in the left eye. Superficial keratectomy (SK) was performed to remove adhesions between the conjunctiva and cornea. To prevent re-adhesion after SK, the detached conjunctival tissue was sutured to the corneal limbus, and a soft contact lens (SCL) was inserted and a partial temporary tarsorrhaphy was performed. The SCL and tarsorrhaphy sutures were maintained for 22 days, and symblepharon did not recur 347 days postoperatively. SK combined with SCL is a relatively easy and cost-effective surgical option for feline symblepharon.
