This study was conducted during Oct. 1986$\sim$Apr. 1987 to investigate the distribution, dominance and species diversity of soil arthropods communities from two collection sites of Suwon and Mt. Jiri. A total of 2,989 specimens of 3 orders, 20 families and 19 species were identified. In overall dominance index, Suwon community showed lower value than Mt. Jiri community. Seasonal variation dominance index were higher in Suwon community than those in Mt. Jiri community.

Purpose: This study was to identify affecting factors on job satisfaction, nursing professional attitudes of new nurses according to transformational leadership of preceptors. Method: The subjects were 101 new nurses who were working for the 4 of university hospitals in Seoul, Daejeon and Kyong Ki. This study was conducted from Aug to Oct 2005. The data was collected by questionnaires and were analyzed using descriptive statistics, pearson correlation coefficient, stepwise multiple regression. Result: Transformational leadership of preceptors were significantly correlated between Job satisfaction, nursing professional attitudes of the new nurses. The stepwise multiple regression analysis for job satisfaction, nursing professional attitudes revealed that the most powerful predictor was charisma. Conclusion: The findings indicated that the transformational leadership of preceptors is important for improving job satisfaction, nursing professional attitudes of the new nurses. Therefore it may be necessary further to develop of the leadership training program for effective preceptorship.

Objective : This study is designed to find out the effects of indirect moxibustion at Geogol (LI16) on the shoulder pain. Methods : The patients were hospitalized Donghwa oriental medical clinic from 19th Sep. 2006 to 4th Oct. 2006, and treated with indirect moxibution at Geogol (LI16) on the shoulder pain. Results : 1. The effects of treatment by duration was follow : Below 1 month duration was improved highly. 2. The effects of treatment by condition of patients was follow : After treatment, the percentage of above "Good" level was 81%. 3. The effects of treatment by pain region of Meridian part. was follow : pain region of LI(手陽明大腸經) Meridian part was improved highly. Conclusion : According to the results, indirect moxibustion at Geogol (LI16) may be good effects on the shoulder pain.

In the past several years the popularity of the motor cycle has produced an increasing incidence of the injuries to the larynx and trachea. Most of all on accidents come to death and survivors to the hospital are rare. Early diagnosis and to keep air way are necessary to initiate proper treatment in injury of upper air way. Meticulous apposition of mucous membrane and reconstitution of laryngeal skeleton are important. We experienced a rare case of 26 year old men with cricothyroidal transection after trauma. On Oct. 17, 1985, the patient struck his neck on baggage frame of truck when dropping from his motor cycle on sudden stop. Emergency tracheal intubation on distal segment of trachea was accomplished by otolaryngologist in a local clinic. He was transferred to our hospital. Exploration 2 hours later revealed complete separation of cricoid cartilage from thyroid cartilage. The recurrent laryngeal nerve could not be identified. Anastomosis of thyroid and cricoid was accomplished and Portex endotracheal tube was inserted as splint for 10 days. No stenosis developed. The air way appeared adequate for moderate physical activity though paramedian fixation of vocal cord paralysis. Postoperative follow-up course has been good after he discharged on POD 14 days.

Specimens of the sabellid polychaetes are exmined. They were collected in the Yellow Sea from Sept. 17 to Oct. 2, 1992 within the framework of Korea-China Yellow Sea Research Joint Program. Additional materials were also provided from the benthic samples collected from the subtidal shallow waters of the Kwang-yang Bay, Korea. Two secies of the genus Euchone (Polychaeta, Sabellidae), Euchone hancocki Banse and Euchone incolor Hartman are described and illustrated. This paper reports the first record of these two sabellids in Korea waters.

The design sensitivity analysis of Zwicker's loudness with respect to structural sizing design variables is developed. The loudness sensitivity in the critical band is composed of two equations, the derivative of main specific loudness with respect to 1/3-oct band level and global acoustic design sensitivities. The main specific loudness is calculated by using FEM, BEM tools. i.e. MSC/NASTRAN and SYSNOISE. And global acoustic sensitivity is calculated by combining acoustic and structural sensitivity using the chain rule. Structural sensitivity is obtained by using semi-analytical method and acoustic sensitivity is implemented numerically using the boundary element method. For sensitivity calculation, sensitivity analyzer of loudness (SOLO), in-house program is developed. A 1/4 scale car cavity model is optimized to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Purpose: The Edinbergh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS) has seen widespread use in epidemiological and clinical studies. The objective of this research was to translate and to test the reliability and validity of the 10-item EDPS in Korea. Methods: Subjects were 145 women who were 6 to 10 weeks post delivery. To test reliability, the internal consistency was assessed by Cronbach's alpha coefficient. Validity testing was performed using convergent validity by Pearson's correlation. Data was gathered at 3 hospitals during Oct. 2005 after obtaining an informed consent. Result: The mean age of the subjects was 29.9 years. and the mean parity was 1.46 times. The mean EPDS score was 18.4. Reliability analysis showed a satisfactory result (Cronbach's alpha coefficient=.84). There were significant positive correlations between EPDS and Mills postnatal depression and anxiety check list scores as expected(r=.69, p<.001) and thus supported convergent validity. Conclusion: The study findings showed that the Korean version of the EPDS-10 is a reliable and valid instrument that can be used for measuring postnatal depression in Korea.

This study was conducted to investigate the relationships between yearly variations of weather elements and productivity in rice. In addition, coefficients of correlation among yield and yield components were used to find out the relationships between weather elements and productivity. Coefficients of variance (C.V.) of air temperature mean was considerable with 25％, but the variation by duration of sunshine was small in May. Culm length and number of spikes were great with c.v. of 21.5, 16.4％, respectively. Coefficients of correlation between temperatures of cultivation in May and yield were positive correlations. Coefficients of correlation between precipitation and sunshine of cultivation period from Oct. to May and yield were negative correlations. Coefficients of correlation amount the culm length, number of spikes, 1,000 grains wt. of seed, and yield were positively significant at the level of 1 ％, respectively.
