COVID-19 확산 방지를 위한 외국인선원 임시생활시설 계획 연구 (A Study on Planning of Foreign Sailors' Temporary Living Facilities to Prevent the Spread of COVID-19)

  • 코로나바이러스감염증-19(COVID-19) 발생이후 항만으로 입항하는 외국선박의 외국인 선원을 통해 지역감염이 확산되었다. 그러나 항만 인근에는 지역주민들의 반발로 임시생활시설 지정에 큰 어려움을 겪고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 항만에서 외국인 선원을 통한 코로나 바이러스 감염확산 방지를 위해 항만구역 내에 외국인 선원을 위한 전용 부유식 임시생활시설을 계획하는 것이 목적이다. 부유식 임시생활시설 계획의 구체적인 내용으로 입지선정, 시설규모계획, 유닛시설계획, 유닛시설 조합계획을 제시하였다. 향후 항만구역 내 부유식 임시생활시설은 제1급감염병 확산방지에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

미세기포 액화산소가 가두리양식장의 수온 및 산소농도에 미치는 영향 (Effect of oxygen micro-bubble for the temperature and oxygen concentrations of fish farming facility)

  • Mass mortality of mariculture fish due to high summer temperatures is a major issue in the mariculture industry in many coastal waters of Korea, yet measures to mitigate the impact are generally limited. We injected a micro-bubble of liquefied oxygen into the bottom of rockfish cages (about 6-8 m deep) in order to maximize the dispersal of micro-bubbled seawater and reduce fish mortality. The injection of low-temperature oxygen in micro-bubbles lowered the water temperature at the injection area by as much as 1℃ and increased dissolved oxygen concentration by 0.5 ppm. In early August, following a week with persistent high water temperature (above 28.5℃), there was an increase in fish mortality despite the micro-bubble system, which resulted in approximately 7% death of the total introduced fish population. However, this mortality appeared to be much lower than mortality reported in a neighboring mariculture facility (approximately 50% mortality). We also estimated the volume that can be recirculated with pumped seawater using a micro-bubble system. We suggest that this approach of injecting liquefied oxygen through a micro-bubble system may reduce fish mortality during high temperature periods.

새만금 가력배수갑문을 이용한 해류발전단지 (Ocean Current Power Parks using Garyuk Draining Sluices of Saemankeum)

  • Two ocean current power parks are suggested in the front and back of the Garyuk draining sluices of Saemankeum in Korea. They are characterized by installing a plurality of ocean current turbine generators which are arranged in five rows respectively in the land-side ocean current power park behind the Garyuk draining sluices and in the sea-side ocean current power park before the Garyuk draining sluices, generating electricity using the ocean current flowing through the Garyuk draining sluices in the ebbs and tides of Yellow sea. The potential energy of tidal difference of 2.611m at neap in Saemankeum can be converted into the kinetic energy of high speed ocean current via the Garyuk draining sluices which makes it possible to run the ocean current power parks on a large scale. The total facility capacity of two ocean current power parks that consist of 240 ocean current turbine generators with 4m diameter of turbine blades is about 134MW, and the expected total annual power output is about 586GWh.

복합구조 해양라이저의 구조건전성 모니터링 (Structural Integrity Monitoring of the Marine Riser with Composite Structure)

  • As the world energy consumption grows, the interest in marin energy resources is increasing. In excavating such resources, the marine riser which connects the floating structure and sea bed is an essential device. The riser system is often exposed to harsh ocean environment and thus vulnerable to damage. Since the failure of the riser system may cause serious economical loss as well as environmental problem, the structural integrity of the riser is very important. Generally, the riser is an extremely slender structure with a much smaller diameter than a length. Therefore, a structural integrity monitoring methodology for typical buildings and bridges may not be applicable. In this paper, the applicability of a damage identification method for a structure to a marine riser is examined via a numerical example. Also, recent research practices and findings for monitoring the behavior and the structural integrity of the marine riser are examined and summarized.

  • Recently, there are several problems in space, contiguity and facility of the existing harbors issued due to the trend of enlarging the container capacity of the large container vessel, the Mobile Harbor has been proposed conceptually as an effective solution for those problems. This concept is a kind of transfer loader of the containers from the large container ship, which is a floating barge with a catamaran type in the underwater part, and so prompt maneuverability and work effectiveness. For the safe mooring of two floating bodies, a container and the mobile harbor, in the near sea apart from the quay, a robot arm mooring facility specially devised would be designed and verified through comparison study under various environmental sea condition in the inner and outer harbor. DP system (Dynamic Positioning System) using the azimuth thruster and a pneumatic fender, etc, will be considered as a next research topic for the mooring security of multi-body floaters.

Study on Extension of the 6-DOF Measurement Area for a Model Ship by Developing Auto-tracking Technology for Towing Carriage in Deep Ocean Engineering Tank

  • The deep ocean engineering basin (DOEB) of the Korea Research Institute of Ship and Ocean Engineering (KRISO) is equipped with an extreme-environment reproduction facility that can analyze the motion characteristics of offshore structures and ships. In recent years, there have been requirements for a wide range of six-degree-of-freedom (6-DOF) motion measurements for performing maneuvering tests and free-running tests of target objects (offshore structures or ships). This study introduces the process of developing a wide-area motion measurement technology by incorporating the auto-tracking technology of the towing carriage system to overcome the existing 6-DOF motion measurement limitation. To realize a wide range of motion measurements, the automatic tracking control system of the towing carriage in the DOEB was designed as a speed control method. To verify the control performance, the characteristics of the towing carriage according to the variation in control gain were analyzed. Finally, a wide range of motions was tested using a model test object (a remotely operated vehicle (ROV)), and the wide-area motion measurement technology was implemented using an automatic tracking control system for a towing carriage.

생태계 제어 시설물의 설계 및 배치 최적화(1) -연승식 양식시설의 계류력 특성 및 동요저감에 관한 연구- (Structural and Layout Design Optimization of Ecosystem Control Structures(1) -Characteristics of Mooring Force and Motion Control of the Longline Type Scallop Culturing Facility-)

  • To develop the optimal design method for the longline type scallop culturing facilities in the open sea numerical calculations and hydraulic model experiments are carried out for the stability and function optimization. Using the results for the motion and tension of the facilities, stable design concepts and effects of motion control system by vertical anchor and resistance discs art discussed. The results of this study that can be applied to the design are as follows: 1) Total external forces by design wave $(H_{1/3}\;=\;6,7\;m,\;T_{1/3}\;=\;12sec)$ at the coastal waters of Jumunjin for unit facility (one main line) are estimated to 5-20 tons, and required anchor weights are 10-40 tons in the case of 2-point mooring system. Though the present facilities are stable to steady currents, but is unstable to the extreme wave condition of return period of 10 years. 2) The dimensions and depth of array systems must be designed considering the ecological environments as well as the physical characteristics including the mooring and holding forces that are proportional to the length and relative depth of main line to wave length, and the number of buoys and nets. 3) Oscillation of the facility is influenced by water particle motion and the weight of hanging net, and is excited at both edge, especially at the lee side. To reduce the motion of the nets, the vertical anchoring system and the resistence disc method are recommended by the experimental results, 4) The damage of rope near the anchor by abrasion should be prevented using the ring-type connection parts or anchor chains.

바다낚시복합타운 시설계획에 관한 연구 (A Study on Facilities Planning for Recreational Fishing Complexes)

  • 기존 바다낚시공원이나 바다낚시시설은 기타 레저시설 미비, 체험프로그램 및 시설 부족, 편의시설이나 숙박시설 등 부대시설 부족 등으로 인해 증가하는 가족낚시인의 바다낚시 및 해양레저의 복합적 수요에 대응하지 못하고 있다. 이에 바다낚시 및 해양레저의 복합적 수요에 대응하여 가족이 즐기고 휴식할 수 있는 바다낚시복합타운의 조성이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구는 바다낚시복합타운의 개념을 정립하고 시설유형을 분류한 다음 각 유형별 시설구성안을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 본 연구에서는 어촌복합생활공간, 해양레저생활공간, 낚시공원사업 등 유사 사례, 관련사업 및 법률을 바탕으로 바다낚시복합타운의 개념을 정립한다. 또한 바다낚시복합타운의 유형을 입지조건 및 활동형태에 따라 도시근교 레저 스포츠형(I형), 도시근교 힐링 휴식형(II형), 도시외곽 체험 활동형(III형) 그리고 도시외곽 문화 휴양형(IV형) 네가지 유형으로 분류하고 각 유형별 특성을 분석하여 유형별 특성에 따른 시설구성안을 제시하며 바다낚시복합타운의 구성시설을 기반시설과 레저시설(기본시설, 특화시설)로 구분하여 구체적인 시설계획안을 제시한다.
