The Relationships among Occupational Identity, Occupation Satisfaction Job Commitment of Care Workers in Care Hospitals - Focusing on moderating effects of personal characteristics.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships between occupational identity, occupation satisfaction, and self-efficacy of care workers in care hospitals and to draw implications for improving the quality of care services. In order to accomplish the purpose of this study, the occupational identity of care workers in care hospitals as an independent variable, occupation satisfaction as a dependent variable of occupational identity, and self-efficacy as a moderating variable were selected. The causal relationships between occupational identity and occupation satisfaction and the moderating effect of self-efficacy were analyzed. As a result of the analysis, the occupational identity of care workers in care hospitals showed significant effects on occupation satisfaction and job commitment. Also, the effects of occupational identity on occupation satisfaction and job commitment differ depending on self-efficacy, which means that moderating effects of self-efficacy are significant. Based on this analytical results, the theoretical and policy implications of this study were suggested, and the directions and limitations of this study were suggested.

작업치료사의 전문직업성이 임파워먼트와 소진에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Occupational Therapist's Professional Identity on Empowerment and Burn Out )

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to identify the degree of occupational therapists' professional identity and examine the correlation between empowerment and burn out. We also investigated the effects of the occupational therapists' professional identity on empowerment and burn out. Through these assessments, we aimed to highlight the importance of professional identity and find methods to improve empowerment and reduce burn out in occupational therapists. Methods : The study was conducted from October 19 to from November 11, 2023. General characteristics, professional identity, empowerment, and burn out were examined using frequency analysis and descriptive statistics. The correlation between these factors was analyzed using Pearson's correlation coefficient. Multiple regression analysis was used to identify factors influencing empowerment and burn out. An α value =.05 was used to verify statistical significance. Results : First, Professional identity was an average 3.24±.37. Second, a significant correlation was found between professional identity and empowerment (r=.417, p<.01) and burn out (r=-.377, p<.01). As a result of the relationship between professional identity sub-factors and empowerment in professional organization (r=.270, p<.01),, belief in self-regulation (r=.258, p<.01), vocational consciousness (r=.348, p<.01), and belief in autonomy (r=.308, p<.01) showed a statistically significant correlation. Professional identity sub-factors were significantly correlated with burnout, professional organization (r=-.199, p<.05), belief in public service (r=-.153, p<.05), belief in self-regulation (r=-.334, p<.01), vocational consciousness (r=-.250, p<.01), and belief in autonomy (r=-.293, p<.01) showed a significant correlation. Third, professional identity sub-factors influencing empowerment were vocational consciousness (β=.154, p<.05) and belief in autonomy (β=.135, p<.05), and those influencing burnout were belief in self-regulation (β=-.389, p<.01) and belief in autonomy (β=-.244, p<.01). Conclusion : The study findings demonstrated that professional identity affects empowerment and burn out. Therefore, continuous study on the professional identity of occupational therapists is warranted.

중환자실 간호사의 이직의도 예측요인 (Predictive Factors of Turnover Intention among Intensive Care Unit Nurses)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to understand morality identity, occupational stress and authentic leadership and identify factors contributing to turnover intention among intensive care unit (ICU) nurses. Methods: Data were collected from 230 nurses at the university hospitals in Daegu, Ulsan and Busan between February 15 and March 23, 2017. Instruments measuring turnover intention, moral identity, occupational stress, and authentic leadership were utilized. Statistical analysis included t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlational analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis. Results: A total of 207 nurses in ICU participated in this study. The power of explanation with age and dependents on turnover intention was 4.1%. With inclusion of occupational stress, moral identity, and authentic leadership factors put into the model, further 20.4% was explained. The explanatory power of the turnover intention in the final model was 23.6% (F=11.63 p<.001), and occupational stress was the key factor explaining turnover intention (${\beta}=.28$, p<.001). Predictive factors contributing to turnover intention were age, occupational stress, moral identity, and authentic leadership in final model. Conclusion: These findings demonstrated occupational stress, moral identity and authentic leadership as critical factors contributing turnover intention of ICU nurses. It is necessary to promote nursing manager's authentic leadership, and to encourage moral identity in ICU nurses. In addition, providing intervention programs to reduce occupational stress for ICU nurses is necessary.

A Study on Effects of Franchise Distribution Employees on Occupational Identity

  • Purpose - This research is to verify job fitness, empowerment, and recognition of career development support having the influence on formation of occupational identity in Korean food franchise distribution company. Research design, data, and methodology - Total 600 copies have been distributed and 394 copies have been collected, the covariance structure analysis has been implemented to verify the presented research hypothesis. Results - Demand fit and competency fit being the lower level of job fitness appeared not to have significant influence on occupational identity, and also these do not have the significant influence on the empowerment. Even though formal career development support being lower level of career development recognition appeared to have significant influence on empowerment, nonformal career development support appeared not to have significant influence on empowerment. Formal career development support and nonformal career development support appeared to have significant influence on occupational identity. Finally, empowerment appeared to have significant influence on occupational identity. Conclusions - It is implied that the psychological and subjective success felt in employee's career course may be improved by the job related job fitness, the initiative being individual characteristic and formal and formless career development support being organizational characteristic.

프로그래밍 직업능력개발훈련교사의 직업정체성 형성 과정에 대한 연구 (A Study on Programming Vocational Training Teacher's Occupational Identity Formation Process)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 직업훈련분야에서 프로그래밍을 가르치고 있는 직업능력개발훈련교사의 직업정체성이 어떻게 형성되었는가를 파악하여 시사점을 도출함에 있다. 이를 위해 프로그래밍 교육훈련에 20여년 이상 종사하고 있는 A 교사를 내러티브 연구방식으로 인터뷰하였다. 연구문제인 '프로그래밍 직업능력개발훈련교사의 직업정체성 형성과정은 무엇인가?'에 대하여 입직전, 입직, 성장, 성숙의 시간적 흐름을 거치면서 총 12 가지 주제가 도출되었고, A 직업능력개발훈련교사의 교사교육경험이 직업 정체성 형성에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 프로그래밍 직업능력개발훈련교사의 직업정체성 형성과정을 알아보고 그 의미를 살펴보고자 하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 향후 연구를 위한 제안은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 후속 연구에서는 나이, 근무한 기간, 소속된 기관 등에 따른 다양한 프로그래밍 직업능력개발훈련교사들을 대상으로 폭넓은 경험에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 둘째, 현장에서 경험하게 되는 정책과 이슈에 대하여 연구되어야 하겠다.

Pearl S. Buck 소설의 복식에 나타난 사회적 정체성 연구 (A Study on the Social Identity Described in the Dress of Pearl S. Buck′s Novels)

  • This study was to analyze the social identity described in the dress of the American novelist Pearl S. Buck's (1892-1973) major works. A novelist pursues varying and refined expressions in an effort to convey to readers the character' identities of his or her own creation. In particular, Pearl S, Buck was a great writer who was awarded the Novel Literature Prize, and since her work The Good Earth recorded a world-wide bestseller, she might well be called a popular novelist. She depicted well her characters' identities from divers viewpoints with her unique delicacy and realistic expressions. For this study, the following seven works which are considered to feature the dresses for character's identity well were selected out of her 85 works: The Good Earth (1931), Sons(1932), The Mother (1934), A Housed Divided (1935), The Hidden Flower (1952), Love and the Morning Calm (1953) and Letter from Peking (1957). For an analytical tool, the content analysis method was used. In order to systematically review the social identity described in the dress individuals' identity were classified into the following categories based on the identity theories: Social identity were divided into ① age identity ② sex, gender identity ③ economic identity ④ occupational identity ⑤ political identity ⑥ religious identity ⑦ kinship identity ⑧ regional identity. The characters' age identity, sex, gender identity, economic identity, occupational identity, political identity, religious identity, kinship identity, regional identity were depicted by their dresses and physical features. All in all, it is hoped that this study would provided important cues to the understanding of the other party's identity through his or her dresses in mutual relationship: It is believed that this study would be useful because they are arranged through the analysis of the dresses featured in the great writer's works using a consistent framework of analysis.

일 대학 작업치료학과 학생의 학과선택 시기에 따른 전공만족도, 대학생활적응, 자아존중감, 진로정체감의 차이 (Differences between Major Satisfaction, University Life Adjustment, Self-Esteem and Career Identity according to the Time of Department Selection of Students in the Department of Occupational Therapy at One University)

  • 본 연구는 작업치료학과 학생들의 학과선택 시기에 따른 전공만족도, 대학생활적응, 자아존중감 및 진로 정체감의 차이를 알아보는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 수집된 자료는 IBM SPSS Statistics 22를 이용하여 빈도분석, 기술통계량, 카이제곱 겁정, 분산분석을 실시하였다. 학과선택 시기에 따라 전공만족도와 진로정체감은 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다. 학과 선택 시기가 빠른 경우(고등학교 재학 중)에 그렇지 않은 경우(대입원서 접수 전, 대입원서 접수기간)보다 전공만족도와 진로정체감이 높게 나타났다. 따라서 대학 진학 후 효율적인 생활지도 및 진로지도를 위해서는 작업치료학과의 특징이 융합된 진로 프로그램이 필요하다고 사료된다.

민간경비의 직업정체성과 직업명망 확립을 위한 제도적 개선방안 연구 : 한국표준직업분류상 경비원 직업분류의 개선을 중심으로 (A Study on the Institutional Improvement for Establishment of Occupational Identity and Occupational Prestige of Private Security)

  • 본 연구는 민간경비의 직업정체성이나 직업적 명망에 영향을 주는 공식적 제도적 구현방법인 한국표준직업분류체계에 대한 문제점을 분석하고, 이에 대한 개선방안을 제시하는데 초점이 있다. 현행 한국표준직업분류(KSCO)는 현행 민간경비 관련 법규체계, 관련된 고등교육체계와 사회교육체계에서의 교과과정, 향후의 NCS체계나 신자격 체계 등을 적절히 반영하지 못하고, 현재의 보안 및 경비관련 시장과 부정합을 야기하는 등의 문제점을 내포하고 있다. 이에 (1) 단순노무종사자에 중복 분류된 민간 경비 관련 직업을 일원화하여야 한다. (2) 무인경비원(4123)을 삭제하고, 대신 보안경비원(4123)을 신설한다. (3) 보안경비원(4123)에 대한 세세분류로 시설경비원(41230), 호송경비원(41231), 기계경비원(41232), 보안관제원(41233), 특수경비원(41234) 등을 신설한다. (4) 대분류 9(코드9)의 단순노무종사자에서 중분류 및 소분류의 명칭을 변경하고, 경비원(9421)을 감시원(9421)로 조정한다.

국내 작업치료사의 전문직 정체성에 대한 타당성 연구 (Paper Title of Validation of the Professional Identity for Occupational Therapist)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 라쉬분석을 통해 작업치료사의 전문직 정체성의 수준 및 특성을 파악하고, 추후 작업치료사 정체성에 연구의 기초로 활용하는 것이다. 연구 대상자는 현재 작업치료사로 종사하고 있는 88명을 대상으로 2020년 5월부터 6월까지 구글 온라인 설문조사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 22.0 빈도와 기술통계, Winsteps 3.8.0 항목 및 대상자 적합도, 항목난이도, 평정척도, 분리 신뢰도 등 라쉬분석을 하였다. 분석 결과 대상자 중 17명(16.3%)가 부적합, 항목은 25항목 중 5개(20%) 부적합으로 나타났다. 항목난이도는 '나는 체계적으로 작업치료 전문 간행물(소식지, 신문 등)을 읽는다' 항목이 가장 높은 난이도이며, '나는 내가 할 일에 대하여 스스로 결정한다'가 가장 낮은 난이도를 보였다. 평정척도는 3점 척도가 적합한 것으로 나타났고, 분리신뢰도는 .86~.95이었다. 작업치료사의 전문직 정체성에 대한 수준과 특성 파악하고, 항목 및 대상자 적합도, 항목난이도를 라쉬분석을 통해 파악할 수 있었다. 향후 다양한 표본집단을 대상으로 연구가 진행되어야 할 것이며, 작업치료사만을 위한 전문직 정체성 측정 도구 개발 및 업무 특성에 맞는 항목이 제시되기를 기대한다.

응급실 간호사의 소진, 업무수행, 전문직 정체성에 관한 연구 (A Study of Emergency Room Nurses' Burn-out, Nursing Performance, and Professional Identity)

  • This study was done to examine ER nurses' burn-out, as an understanding in the relationship of nursing performance and professional identity. The subjects of the study were nurses working in the emergency room of the general hospital with over 300 beds, located in D metropolitan city and C city. The self-report questionnaires were administered and 120 were collected. For the data analysis, SPSS WIN 12.0 was used. ER nurses' burn-out was 2.99, the mean of nursing performance was 3.69, and professional identity was 3.51. The extent of ER nurses' burn-out showed significantly negative correlation with the extent of nursing performance(r=-.257), along with professional identity(r=-.192). While ER nurses' nursing performance showed significantly positive correlation with professional identity(r=.696). In conclusion, the higher professional identity, the fewer ER nurses experienced burn-out, and the higher extent of nursing performance was obtained. It is necessary to create activities and programs to reduce and prevent burn-out.
