만성 정신분열병 환자들의 인지 기능과 정서 인식 능력의 관련성 (The Relationship between Neurocognitive Functioning and Emotional Recognition in Chronic Schizophrenic Patients)

  • Objective:The present study examined the association between basic neurocognitive functions and emotional recognition in chronic schizophrenia. Furthermore, to Investigate cognitive variable related to emotion recognition in Schizophrenia. Methods:Forty eight patients from the Yongin Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center were evaluated for neurocognitive function, and Emotional Recognition Test which has four subscales finding emotional clue, discriminating emotions, understanding emotional context and emotional capacity. Measures of neurocognitive functioning were selected based on hypothesized relationships to perception of emotion. These measures included:1) Letter Number Sequencing Test, a measure of working memory;2) Word Fluency and Block Design, a measure of executive function;3) Hopkins Verbal Learning Test-Korean version, a measure of verbal memory;4) Digit Span, a measure of immediate memory;5) Span of Apprehension Task, a measure of early visual processing, visual scanning;6) Continuous Performance Test, a measure of sustained attention functioning. Correlation analyses between specific neurocognitive measures and emotional recognition test were made. To examine the degree to which neurocognitive performance predicting emotional recognition, hierarchical regression analyses were also made. Results:Working memory, and verbal memory were closely related with emotional discrimination. Working memory, Span of Apprehension and Digit Span were closely related with contextual recognition. Among cognitive measures, Span of Apprehension, Working memory, Digit Span were most important variables in predicting emotional capacity. Conclusion:These results are relevant considering that emotional information processing depends, in part, on the abilities to scan the context and to use immediate working memory. These results indicated that mul- tifaceted cognitive training program added with Emotional Recognition Task(Cognitive Behavioral Rehabilitation Therapy added with Emotional Management Program) are promising.

객체 인식 정확도 개선을 위한 이미지 초해상도 기술 (Image Super-Resolution for Improving Object Recognition Accuracy)

  • 객체 검출 및 인식 과정은 컴퓨터비전 분야에서 매우 중요한 과업으로써, 관련 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 그러나 실제 객체 인식 과정에서는 학습된 이미지 데이터와 테스트 이미지 데이터간 해상도 차이로 인하여 인식기의 정확도 성능이 저하되는 문제가 종종 발생한다. 이를 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 객체 인식 정확도 향상을 위한 이미지 초해상도 기법을 제안하여 객체 인식 및 초해상도 통합 프레임워크를 설계하고 개발하였다. 세부적으로는 11,231장의 차량 번호판 훈련용 이미지를 웹 크롤링, 인조데이터 생성 등을 통해 자체적으로 구축하고, 이를 활용하여 이미지 좌우 반전에 강인하도록 목적함수를 정의하여 이미지 초해상도 인공 신경망을 훈련시켰다. 제안 방법의 성능을 검증하기 위해 훈련된 이미지 초해상도 및 번호 인식기 1,999장의 테스트 이미지에 실험하였고, 이를 통해 제안한 초해상도 기법이 문자 인식 정확도 개선 효과가 있음을 확인하였다.

어린이집 교사의 유아코딩교육에 대한 인식과 자질에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Recognition and Qualities of Early Childhood Coding Education in Childcare Center Teachers)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the recognition and qualities of early childhood coding education in childcare center teachers. Methods: 158 childcare center teachers responded to 56 questions on a questionnaire extracted and revised from previous research. Frequency analysis and one-way ANOVA were applied for the data analysis. Results: Many teachers agreed that the software education policy was timely appropriate. Most of them needed the education in order to improve children's creativity and problem solving ability, and answered that it is appropriate to start the education at age 5. Most of them recognized that small group and free choice activities, play activities linked with daily life topics and coding programs by the childcare center teachers were desirable as educational methods. Provision of educational HW/SW environment was a relatively important element for effective implementation of the education. The coding educational qualities perceived by the teachers were not high, and were related to the age of the children they were in charge of and their computer literacy. Conclusion/Implications: The recognition of childcare center teachers was relatively positive, but it is necessary to educate the teachers to improve their recognition and qualities of the education in consideration of teachers' variables.

음성인식에서 중복성의 저감에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Redundancy Reduction in Speech Recognition)

  • 음성 신호의 특성은 인접한 프레임에서 크게 변화하지 않는다. 따라서 비슷한 특징벡터들에 내재된 중복성을 줄이는 것이 바람직하다. 본 논문의 목적은 음성인식에 있어서 음성 특징벡터가 최소의 중복성과 최대의 유효한 정보를 갖는 조건을 찾는 것이다. 이를 이하여 우리는 하나의 감시 파라미터를 통하여 중복성 저감을 실현하고, 그 결과가 FVQ/HMM을 사용한 화자독립 음성인식에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 실험 결과, 인식률을 저하시키지 않고 특징벡터의 수를 30% 줄일 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • A convolution neural networks (CNNs) has demonstrated outstanding performance compared to other algorithms in the field of face recognition. Regarding the over-fitting problem of CNN, researchers have proposed a residual network to ease the training for recognition accuracy improvement. In this study, a novel face recognition model based on game theory for call-over in the classroom was proposed. In the proposed scheme, an image with multiple faces was used as input, and the residual network identified each face with a confidence score to form a list of student identities. Face tracking of the same identity or low confidence were determined to be the optimisation objective, with the game participants set formed from the student identity list. Game theory optimises the authentication strategy according to the confidence value and identity set to improve recognition accuracy. We observed that there exists an optimal mapping relation between face and identity to avoid multiple faces associated with one identity in the proposed scheme and that the proposed game-based scheme can reduce the error rate, as compared to the existing schemes with deeper neural network.

The Effect of Membership Concentration in FVQ/HMM for Speaker-Independent Speech Recognition

  • We investigate the effect of membership concentration on the performance of the speaker-independent recognition system by FVQ/HMM. For the membership function, we adopt the result obtained from the objective function approach by Bezdek. Membership concentration is done by varying the exponent in the membership function. The number of selected clusters is constrained to two for the sake of cheap computational cost. Experimental results showed that the recognition rate has its maximum value when the membership function was taken to be inversely proportional to the distance of the input vector from the cluster centroid. When the membership concentration was two weak or too strong, the performance was found to be relatively poor as expected. Except these extreme cases, the membership concentration was not shown to affect the recognition rate significantly. This is in accordance with the general observation that the fuzzy system is not much sensitive. to the detailed shape of the membership function as long as it is overlapped over multiple classes.

재활 훈련 서비스를 위한 실시간 모션인식 알고리즘 (A Real-Time Motion Recognition Algorithm for a Rehabilitation Service)

  • 본 논문은 모션 인식 분야 중 지체 장애인의 재활훈련과 같은 치료 분야를 위한 실시간 모션 인식 알고리즘을 제안한다. 본 방법은 빠르고 정확한 모션인식을 위하여 사용자의 특징점 위치에 적외선 LED 밴드를 착용하고 적외선 필터가 장착된 카메라로 좌표 값을 얻어낸 후 미리 정의되어 있는 동작과의 일치 여부를 판별한다. 또한 적외선 LED의 특징점 좌표들을 꼭지점으로 가지는 다각형의 무게중심과 특징점 좌표들의 벡터를 구한 후 일정한 거리와 각도 구간으로 구분하고 각 LED의 속한 구간을 알아낸다. 이를 이용하여 삼육 재활학교에서 구성한 재활훈련 시나리오의 동작에 대하여 실험을 수행한 결과 초당 20프레임 이상의 빠르면서도 98%에 가까운 인식률을 얻을 수 있다.

The Role of Cognitive Control in Tinnitus and Its Relation to Speech-in-Noise Performance

  • Self-reported difficulties in speech-in-noise (SiN) recognition are common among tinnitus patients. Whereas hearing impairment that usually co-occurs with tinnitus can explain such difficulties, recent studies suggest that tinnitus patients with normal hearing sensitivity still show decreased SiN understanding, indicating that SiN difficulties cannot be solely attributed to changes in hearing sensitivity. In fact, cognitive control, which refers to a variety of top-down processes that human beings use to complete their daily tasks, has been shown to be critical for SiN recognition, as well as the key to understand cognitive inefficiencies caused by tinnitus. In this article, we review studies investigating the association between tinnitus and cognitive control using behavioral and brain imaging assessments, as well as those examining the effect of tinnitus on SiN recognition. In addition, three factors that can affect cognitive control in tinnitus patients, including hearing sensitivity, age, and severity of tinnitus, are discussed to elucidate the association among tinnitus, cognitive control, and SiN recognition. Although a possible central or cognitive involvement has always been postulated in the observed SiN impairments in tinnitus patients, there is as yet no direct evidence to underpin this assumption, as few studies have addressed both SiN performance and cognitive control in one tinnitus cohort. Future studies should aim at incorporating SiN tests with various subjective and objective methods that evaluate cognitive performance to better understand the relationship between SiN difficulties and cognitive control in tinnitus patients.

건축과 철학의 인식론적 논의에 관한 연구 (A Study on Epistemological Critique between Philosophy and Architecture)

  • The purpose of this study is to classify the epistemological critique between philosophy and architecture. Although there are various interpretations and criticism about the architecture, the fundamental critique of architecture is difficult. It is necessary to approach by the philosophic paradigm rather than architectural one. Therefore the procedure and method of study is to define the epistemology within philosophy and architecture, and present the classification viewpoint and the architecture case. The conclusions of this study based on purpose and process are as follows : The First, the philosophic epistemology is to mean the unity of subjective and objective. And the epistemological viewpoint of architectural philosophy is to define the construction's universality. The second, the architectural philosophy is a kind of the philosophy of art, and It is associated with the basis of aesthetics. Thus, the category of architectural philosophy like the aesthetics is classified with function directivity and form directivity, content directivity. The Last, epistemological critiques between philosophy and architecture are as follows ; 1) subject-object-integrated recognition critique (function directivity), 2) object-oriented recognition critique (form directivity), 3) subject-oriented recognition critique (content directivity).

  • 본 논문에서는 모든 분야의 지식 에 대해 온톨로지(ontology)화 하기보다는 회의 분야로 특화하여 회의 지을 온톨로지화 할 수 있는 지식기반회의 관리시스템 아키텍처를 제시한다. 또한, 시뮬레이션 및 분석을 통해 객관적 평가 기준을 마련한 다음 화상 회의, 음성 인식, 행동 인식 등의 각종 인식 시스템을 통해 변환되고 가공된 정보를 체계화하고 지식 화하여 분석 할 수 있는 시스템으로의 발전 가능성에 대해서 제시한다.
