  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the reasons of Object Attachment Occurrence in infant and the meanings of it in his early development. For this purpose, the following hypotheses were supposed. 1. Infant's object Attachment will be a substitutional for mother attachment when he has opportunities to his mother during his first years. 2. Infant's Object Attachment will not impede the infant's normal development. In order to test this hypotheses 28 mothers whose infants show or have shown this phenomenon and 28 mothers whose infants show or have shown this phenomenon and 28 mothers whose infants do not show this one were interviewed about their child rearing practice and attitude. They were selected by the random sampling method from 310 household wives living at a delux Apt. in Seoul. The results obtained in this study are as follow ; 1. The less opportunities infant has for 1) his mother's breast feeding 2) having physical contact with his mother 3) spending time with his mother 4) receiving prompt response from his mother to his crying, the more he is apt to show this phenomenon. And infant whose first main attachment figure is not his mother also shows the same apt. 2. There was no difference between two groups in intelligence and personality. So it can be concluded that infant's Object Attachment is a substitutional phenomenon for mother attachment in the mother during his first years, and it does not impede infant's normal development.

For this purpose, 28 mothers with their infants showing or having shown this phenomenon were interviewed. They were selected by the whole scale smpling method from 310 household -wives living at a delux Apt. in Seoul. The results are summarized as follows : 1. About 27% of the infants aged between 6 months and 6 years turned out to show this phenomenon. 2. Qulits, bed clothes, pillows and blankets, which infants have been closely contacted since their babyhood, were the major source of attachment objects. In general, these objects were proved to have soft, wasm, smooth, and glassy tactile sensation. 3.This phenomenon, in average, appeared since 13 months after birth, About 50% of the whole began to show this phenomenon between 9 and 14 month after birth. 4. Half of the infants didn't show a change of attachment strength, but as for the other half, the attachment strength increased after one year of age, and decreased after three years of age, as the social period commenced. 5. Infants needed attachment objects especially when they were driven by sleep, sense of emptiness, and monotonous or boring feeling. 6. There were little difference between Object Attachment behavior and motherinfant attachment behavior except "babbling", "using her as a base for exploration". Those behaviors did not appear in Object Attachment. 7. mothers said that their children's attachment objects played the role of substitute mother, pacificater, warmer, friend , etc. And they attributed this phenomenon's appearance to lack their physical contact with, ocnstant and warm care toward, their children or bottle feeding.

  • Smartphones, now a necessity for modern people, have become more than just an appliance, but an object of obsession for many. This has resulted in smartphone addiction in many modern people. However, the phenomenon of object addiction can lie beyond the problem of the object itself, varying according to the psychological characteristics of the subjects who use it. For this reason, this study aimed to examine adult attachment and covert narcissism as factors influencing smartphone addiction in college students. In order to do this subjects' level of smartphone addiction, adult attachment and covert narcissism needed to be measured on a scale of smartphone addiction, adult attachment and covert narcissism. Regression analysis was conducted with smartphone addiction set as the dependent variable and adult attachment and covert narcissism as independent variables. As a result, we observed anxiety attachment related to adult attachment and hypersensitivity/weakness of covert narcissism played roles in smartphone addiction. These findings suggest that in order to understand smartphone addiction in college students, it is important to know the psychological characteristics of our subjects.

Methods: Data were collected from 217 mothers who breastfed their healthy baby for 1 month after childbirth and had no postpartum complications. The data were analyzed by hierarchical regression analysis. Results: The factors significantly associated with maternal attachment were an emotional exchange with one's baby (${\beta}=.41$, p<.001), breastfeeding confidence (${\beta}=.20$, p=.022), depression ('quite a bit or more', ${\beta}=-.18$, p=.005), and depression ('a little', ${\beta}=-.14$, p=.024). The model explained 38.4% of variance in maternal attachment. Conclusion: In order to improve attachment, nurses should be actively supported in helping mothers in the first month postpartum adapt to breastfeeding. Interventions to prevent postpartum depression should also be conducted.

  • Purpose: This study aims to provide foundational data for preparing for educational programs on the role of a father that are designed to help primiparous spouses carry out the paternal role successfully. Methods: This study was conducted in two OB/GYN clinics and a study sample of 277 primiparous spouses who satisfied the selection criteria was selected. Results: Of the correlation among the childhood experiences, paternal attachment and role of a father of the subjects, the childhood experiences had a positive correlation with the paternal-infant attachment and the role of a father. The paternal-infant attachment and the role of a father also had a positive correlation. Conclusion: An infant is influenced primarily by his or her parents, who will have immense influences on the child's growth and development. Since the paternal-infant attachment is closely related to the role of a father, the development of positive paternal-infant attachment must be preceded in order for a primiparous spouse to carry out the role of a father successfully. Therefore, the development of nursing intervention programs is needed to foster the proper understanding of the role of a father, accommodate the practical needs of primiparous spouses and nurture the paternal-infant attachment for the promotion of realistic, successful role of a father.

  • This study aims to identify the object relations and PAD factors of Instagram users, apply the object relations to the emotional response (PAD) factors, and empirically study the structural relationship between these factors and satisfaction. To this end, we proposed a research model to which the four factors of object relations theory and the three factors of emotional response (PAD) theory that emphasize the emotions of users are applied. Surveys were conducted on the college students in Seoul and Suwon who had used Instagram. As a result of this study, the following conclusions can be drawn: Non-alienation has a significant influence on pleasure, arousal, and domination. Secure attachment does not have a significant influence on pleasure and arousal, while it does have on domination. Social ability does not have a significant influence on pleasure, arousal, and domination. Egocentrism has a significant influence on arousal, but not on pleasure and domination. Pleasure has a significant influence on arousal and satisfaction. Arousal has a significant influence on domination and satisfaction. Domination has a significant influence on satisfaction. In conclusion, when emotions are shared among the users of Instagram, not alienated, it affects their satisfaction.
