A Study on the Efficient Configuration Thread Control Modeling in Version Control using Object Oriented System (객체지향 시스템을 이용한 버전제어에서 효율적인 형상 형성 제어 모델링에 관한 연구)

  • A version control system is used in a rapidly changed environment or a program which developed in a complicated environment. And configuration thread information supporting and it's processing method has an important part in version control. Configuration thread tool such as a system model of DSEE, a view of ClearCase, a label of SourceSafe, and the package of CCC/Harvest have applied to formalized configuration rule by user and obtained a desired configuration information of the version. But it is a problem of configuration thread in supporting information that we. in this method. can't know a exactly well-defined configuration rule information and a predefined information. And these information have a demerit that can't supported the close connection along with undefined version and a meta-information. In this paper. we have modeling a system for these problems to solve and a efficiently configuration thread supported. We also proposed a mixed retrieval model included a boolean retrieval model and a vector retrieval model for support efficiently configuration thread information. We applied and designed the libraries using extended facet method.

TPKDB-tree : An Index Structure for Efficient Retrieval of Future Positions of Moving Objects (TPKDB 트리 : 이동 객체의 효과적인 미래 위치 검색을 위한 색인구조)

  • Recently, with the rapid development of location-based techniques, index structures to efficiently manage moving objects have been required. In this paper, we propose a new spatio-temporal index structure that supports a future position retrieval and minimizes a update cost. The proposed index structure combines an assistant index structure that directly accesses current positions of moving objects with KDB-tree that is a space partitioning access method. The internal node in our proposed index structure keeps time parameters in order to support the future position retrieval and to minimize a update cost. Moreover, we propose new update and split methods to maximize the space utilization and the search performance. We perform various experiments to show that our proposed index structure outperforms the existing index structure.

  • While the method of information collection and visual interface technique have been researched actively on web information retrieval, a study on structured modeling for effective classification of a wide collective information leaves to be desired. In this paper, we represent information feature based on structured information model. It aims at carrying out effectively the user's retrieval environment through visualization technique with analyzing the information feature. We propose a information classification method using Facet units and we construct the object model, table model, SQL code to define the relation of the information, and represent the information feature based on a wide range of views. After users gain a better global understanding of the information feature, retrieve more easily through their information. Conventional information retrieval is user-oriented to be what user want, but proposed technique it data-oriented which helps users to understand what exist in database by showing information feature.

  • There are various approaches that retrieve information from video. However, previous approaches have considered just object information and relationship between objects without story information to retrieve contents. To retrieve exact information at video, we need analyzing approach based on characters and community since these are body of story proceeding. Therefore, this paper describes video information retrieval methodology based on character information. Characters progress story to form relationship through conversations. We can analyze the relationship between characters in a story with the methods that classifies role grades and clusters communities of characters. In this paper, for these, we propose the Character-net and describe how to classify role grades and cluster communities at Character-net. And we show this method to be efficient.

  • Shape features in a content-based image retrieval (CBIR) system are divided into two classes: contour-based and region-based. Contour-based shape features are simple but they are not as efficient as region-based shape features. Most systems using the region-based shape feature have to extract the region firs t. The prior works on region-based systems still have shortcomings. They are complex to implement, particularly with respect to region extraction, and do not sufficiently use the spatial relationship between regions in the distance model In this paper, a region extraction method that is the combination of an edge-based method and a region growing method is proposed to accurately extract regions inside an object. Edges inside an object are accurately detected based on the Canny edge detector and the Hough transform. And the modified Integrated Region Matching (IRM) scheme which includes the adjacency relationship of regions is also proposed. It is used to compute the distance between images for the similarity search using shape features. The experimental results show the effectiveness of our region extraction method as well as the modified IRM. In comparison with other works, it is shown that the new region extraction method outperforms others.

  • The typical Kinetic Family Drawing (KFD) Web database system, a form of prototype system, has been developed, relying on the suggestions from family art therapists, with an aim to handle large amounts of assessment data and to facilitate effective implement of assessment activities. However, unfortunately such a system has an intrinsic problem that it fails to collect clients' behaviors, attitudes, facial expressions, voices, and other critical information observed while they are drawing. Accordingly we propose the ontology based video event analysis and video retrieval system in this paper, in order to enhance the function of a KFD Web database system by using a web camera and drawing tool. More specifically, a newly proposed system is designed to deliver two kinds of services: the client video retrieval service and the sketch video retrieval service, accompanied by a summary report of occurred events and dynamic behaviors relative to each family member object, respectively. The proposed system can support the reinforced KFD assessments by providing quantitative and subjective information on clients' working attitudes and behaviors, and KFD preparation processes.

  • Due to the increase of the amount of image data, the demand for searching similar images is continuously increasing. Therefore, many researches about the content-based image retrieval (CBIR) are conducted to search similar images effectively. In CBIR, it uses image contents such as color, shape, and texture for more effective retrieval. However, when we apply CBIR to satellite images which are complex and pose the difficulty in using color information, we can have trouble to get a good retrieval result. Since it is difficult to use color information of satellite images, we need image segmentation to use shape information by separating the shape of an object in a satellite image. However, because satellite images are complex, image segmentation is hard and poor image segmentation results in poor retrieval results. In this paper, we propose a new approach to search similar images without image segmentation for satellite images. To do a similarity search without image segmentation, we define a similarity of an image by considering SIFT keypoint descriptors which doesn't require image segmentation. Experimental results show that the proposed approach more effectively searches similar satellite images which are complex and pose the difficulty in using color information.

Development of a National R&D Knowledge Map Using the Subject-Object Relation based on Ontology (온톨로지 기반의 주제-객체관계를 이용한 국가 R&D 지식맵 구축)

  • To develop an intelligent search engine to help users retrieve information effectively, various methods, such as Semantic Web, have been used, An effective retrieval method of such methods uses ontology technology. In this paper, we built National R&D ontology after analyzing National R&D Information in NTIS and then implemented National R&D Knowledge Map to represent and retrieve information of the relationship between object and subject (project, human information, organization, research result) in R&D Ontology. In the National R&D Knowledge Map, center-node is the object selected by users, node is subject, subject's sub-node is user's favorite query in National R&D ontology after analyzing the relationship between object and subject. When a user selects sub-node, the system displays the results from inference engine after making query by SPARQL in National R&D ontology.

  • Motion Information in a video clip often plays an important role in characterizing the content of the clip. A number of methods have been developed to analyze and retrieve video contents using motion information. However, most of these methods focused more on the analysis of direction or trajectory of motion but less on the analysis of the movement of an object. In this paper, we introduce the shape variation descriptor for describing shape variation caused by object movement along time, and propose a method to describe and retrieve the shape variation of the object using shape variation map. The experimental results shows that the proposed method performed much better than the previous method by l1% and is very effective for describing the shape variation which is applicable to semantic retrieval applications.

Survival Processing Advantage and Sex Differences in Location Memory (위치 기억에서의 생존 처리 이득과 성차)

  • Recent studies report that in terms of object memory, survival context has mnemonic advantage over other context conditions (e.g., Nairne et al, 2007). The present experiments explored whether this effect can also affect task-irreverent object location memory, and tested whether the context can change gender difference in object location memory. Participants were asked to rate the relevance of pictures presented at random locations (experiment 1) or words (experiment 2) under survival context or moving context. After rating the pictures or words, they answered recall test and location retrieval test. The results revealed higher accuracy in memory for objects encoded under survival context. Moreover, survival processing enhanced location memory, and the survival advantage in location memory emerged among woman.
