  • Due to social distancing caused by COVID 19, music concerts have not been allowed at home and abroad, and it is not known when overseas concerts will be able to resume unless the pandemics calm down, even if they are available. Meanwhile, people consume much more content through online services such as Netflix and YouTube than before. Under these circumstances, the music industry expects the virtual livestreamed performance to restore sluggish live performances again and bring about a digital renaissance. It also leads to the issue of reestablishing a copyright system regarding a livestreamed performance and of preparing a new rate of royalty standards for the use of works in OTT. In addition, a multi-territorial licensing of r ights in musical works is necessary to resolve copyright issues efficiently by applying the same term s to all countries from where the audience comes. In this paper, I examine the legal nature and the decision of copyright fees of performances as an integral part of the music industry.

  • Big data-related research that deals with the amount of explosive information in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution is actively underway. Big data is an essential element that promotes the development of artificial intelligence with a wide range of data that become learning data for machine learning, or deep learning. The use of deep learning and big data in various fields has produced meaningful results. In this paper, we have investigated the use of Big Data in the cultural arts industry, focusing on video contents. Noteworthy is that big data is used not only in the distribution of cultural and artistic contents but also in the production stage. In particular, we first looked at what kind of achievements and changes the Netflix in the US brought to the OTT business, and analyzed the current state of the OTT business in Korea. After that, Netflix analyzed the success stories of 'House of Cards', which was produced / circulated through 'Deep Learning' cinematique, which is a prediction algorithm, through accumulated customer data. After that, FGI (Focus Group Interview) was held for cultural and artistic contents experts. In this way, the future prospects of Big Data in the domestic culture and arts industry are divided into technical aspect, creative aspect, and ethical aspect.

  • This paper presents an analytical study on the strength and stiffness of various types of truss structures. The applied models are triangular-like opened truss-wall triangular model (OTT), closed truss-wall triangular model (CTT), opened solid-wall triangular model (OST), and hypercube models defined as core-filled or core-spaced cube. The models are analyzed by numerical model analysis using DEFORM 2D/3D tool with AISI 304 stainless steel. Then, the ideal solutions for stiffness and strength are defined. Finally, the relative elastic modulus of the core-spaced model is obtained as 0.0009, which is correlated with the cancellous bone for the relative density range of 0.029-0.03, and the relative elastic modulus for the core-filled model is obtained as 0.0015, which is correlated with cancellous bone for the relative density range of 0.035-0.036. For the relative compressive yield strength, the OTT reasonably agrees with the cancellous bone for the relative density of 0.042 and the relative compressive strength of 0.05. The CTT and OST are in good agreement at the relative density of 0.013 and the relative compressive yield strength of 0.002. The hypercube models can be used for the cancellous bone for stiffness, and the triangular models can be used for the cancellous bone for strength. However, none of the models can be used to replace the compact bone because it requires much higher stiffness and strength. In the near future, compact bone replacement must be further studied. In addition, previously mentioned models should be developed further.

  • In recent years, the film industry in South Korea has experienced a period of prosperity, evidenced by the numerous awards won at major international film festivals. Furthermore, growing global interest in K-content and the expansion of the OTT industry following the COVID-19 pandemic are providing favorable conditions for the development of the domestic film industry. Sound effects play a crucial role in conveying the atmosphere and emotions of a film, making them an essential element of film production. In response, the Jeonju IT & CT Industry Promotion Agency has been promoting the development of Korean-style sound effects since 2013. Furthermore, the agency launched an online service called the "K-Sound Library," a sound effect archive, in 2021. However, the service has not been widely utilized because of issues with the database's construction and the system's problems. Therefore, this study aims to identify the K-Sound Library's problems through interviews with sound effects specialists about the online service of the first sound effect archive in South Korea. Based on the interviews and analyses of foreign cases, the study suggests ways to improve the search services' usability and the sound effects classification system.

  • As OTT services become popular worldwide, content IP expansion strategy has an important position in the platform media industry ecosystem where new content is constantly distributed. In particular, the method in which a successful narrative expands the elements constituting a specific world, that is, the Universe, is effective in reducing risk factors in content IP expansion and expanding content franchises. This study intends to examine how Marvel's cinematic Universe (MCU) is strategically performing content IP expansion while borrowing the multiverse concept and replicating and reproducing it by itself through narrative analysis of . As a result, the multiverse can reproduce an incomplete state by repeating the completed event, which can exist as another self-fulfilling content. At the same time, it can be an effective content IP expansion strategy in that each story can be produced because a single character can exist in multiple under the multiverse.
