A Study on Story propose model based on Machine Learning - Focused on YouTube

  • YouTube is an OTT service that leads the home economy, which has emerged from the 2020 Corona Pandemic. With the growth of OTT-based individual media, creators are required to establish attractive storytelling strategies that can be preferred by viewers and elected for YouTube recommendation algorithms. In this study, we conducted a study on modeling that proposes a content storyline for creators. As the ability for Creators to create content that viewers prefer, we have presented the data literacy ability to find patterns in complex and massive data. We also studied the importance of compelling storytelling configurations that viewers prefer and can be selected for YouTube recommendation algorithms. This study is of great significance in that it deviated from the viewer-oriented recommendation system method and proposed a story suggestion model for individual creaters. As a result of incorporating this story proposal model into the production of the YouTube channel Tiger Love video, it showed a certain effectiveness. This story suggestion model is a machine learning text-based story suggestion system, excluding the application of photography or video.

Analysis of Success and Failure Factors of OTT Service Contents According to the Rating: Focus on Netflix (평점에 따른 OTT 서비스 콘텐츠의 성공과 실패 요인 분석: 넷플릭스를 중심으로)

  • This study explores multiple variables of an OTT service for discovering hidden relationship between rating and the other variables of each successful and failed content, respectively. In order to extract key variables that are strongly correlated to the rating across the contents, this work analyzes 170 Netflix original dramas and 419 movies. These contents are classified as success and failure by using the rating site IMDb, respectively. The correlation between the contents, which are classified via rating, and variables such as violence, lewdness and running time are analyzed to determine whether a certain variable appears or not in each successful and failure content. This study employs a regression analysis to discover correlations across the variables as a main analysis method. Since the correlation between independent variables should be low, check multicollinearity and select the variable. Cook's distance is used to detect and remove outliers. To improve the accuracy of the model, a variable selection based on AIC(Akaike Information Criterion) is performed. Finally, the basic assumptions of regression analysis are identified by residual diagnosis and Dubin Watson test. According to the whole analysis process, it is concluded that the more director awards exist and the less immatatable tend to be successful in movies. On the contrary, lower fear tend to be failure in movies. In case of dramas, there are close correlations between failure dramas and lower violence, higher fear, higher drugs.

  • Due to social distancing caused by COVID 19, music concerts have not been allowed at home and abroad, and it is not known when overseas concerts will be able to resume unless the pandemics calm down, even if they are available. Meanwhile, people consume much more content through online services such as Netflix and YouTube than before. Under these circumstances, the music industry expects the virtual livestreamed performance to restore sluggish live performances again and bring about a digital renaissance. It also leads to the issue of reestablishing a copyright system regarding a livestreamed performance and of preparing a new rate of royalty standards for the use of works in OTT. In addition, a multi-territorial licensing of r ights in musical works is necessary to resolve copyright issues efficiently by applying the same term s to all countries from where the audience comes. In this paper, I examine the legal nature and the decision of copyright fees of performances as an integral part of the music industry.

  • Recently, as more consumers spend more time at home due to COVID-19, the time spent on digital consumption such as SNS and OTT, which can be easily used non-face-to-face, naturally increased. Since 2019, when COVID-19 occurred, digital consumption has doubled from 44% to 82%, and it is important to quickly and accurately grasp and apply trends by analyzing consumers' emotions due to the rapidly changing digital characteristics. However, there are limitations in actually implementing services using emotional analysis in small systems rather than large-scale systems, and there are not many cases where they are actually serviced. However, if even a small system can easily analyze consumer trends, it will help the rapidly changing modern society. In this paper, we propose a lightweight trend analysis system that builds a learning network through Transfer Learning (Fine Tuning) of the BERT Model and interlocks Crawler for real-time data collection.

  • This study aims to find out the influences of user behavior, content characteristics, functional factors and user's perception in cost on user satisfaction and continuous intention in N-Screen service. Web survey was conducted for 498 users who have used N screen service. The results show that the most influential factor contributing to user satisfaction is user interface. VOD diversity, payment system, cost, channel diversity are also meaningful factors. Identifying the critical factors which impact on user satisfaction, this study can provide the basic data for activating OTT service in smart media environment.

  • Consumer expectations for drama VFX increased as the influx of overseas dramas increased due to the growth of OTT service, but the current production time of the drama production system has a negative effect on the quality and completion of work. This paper proposes a background rendering using a game engine and a subject rendering using background HDRI as environmental lighting. The proposed workflow is expected to reduce the production time of VFX and improve the quality of VFX. The proposed workflow was verified in 3 steps. Comparing game engine and rendering software according to the same lighting environment and camera distance, comparing rendering with existing rendering method and background HDRI generation, and validating the proposed workflow. For verification, quantitative evaluation was performed using Structual similarity index and histogram. This study is expected to be one of the options to improve the quality of VFX and improve the risk.

  • 스마트 폰과 태블릿 PC를 이용하여 실시간 영상 재생 서비스(OTT: Over The Top)를 이용하는 사람들이 폭발적으로 증가하고 있다. 그에 따라 실시간 영상 재생 서비스를 즐길 수 있는 수많은 콘텐츠들이 증가하고 있다. 이에 따라 사용자는 자신의 취향에 맞는 드라마가 어떤 드라마인지 찾기가 어렵다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 사용자 스타일에 가장 적합한 미국 드라마 추천 시스템을 제안하기 위하여 선호 장르 2개, 연령대, 성별, 미국인 여부를 이용하여 유클리드 방법으로 유사도를 계산하고 협업 필터링 방법을 적용하여 드라마를 추천하는 시스템을 R을 이용하여 구현하였다.

  • OTT 서비스의 이용자가 폭발적으로 증가하고 있는 지금, 사용자에게 맞춤형 상품을 추천하는 것은 해당 서비스에서 중요한 사안이다. 본 논문에서는 콘텐츠 기반 추천 시스템의 모델을 제안하고, 영화 데이터를 추가 해가며 예측력을 높일 최종적인 모델을 채택하고자 한다. 이를 위해 GroupLens와 Kaggle에서 영화 데이터를 수집하고 총 1111개의 영화, 943명의 사용자에게서 나온 71026개의 영화 평가 데이터를 이용하였다. 모델 평가 결과, 장르와 키워드만을 이용한 추천 시스템 모델의 RMSE는 1.3076, 단계적으로 데이터를 추가해 최종적으로 장르, 키워드, 배우, 감독, 나라, 제작사를 이용한 추천 시스템 모델의 RMSE는 1.1870으로 모든 데이터를 추가한 모델의 예측력이 더 높았다. 이에 따라 장르, 키워드, 배우, 감독, 나라, 제작사를 이용해 구현한 모델을 최종적인 모델로 채택, 무작위로 추출한 한 명의 사용자에 대한 영화 추천 리스트를 뽑아낸다.

  • In these days, 360 degree videos, which is provided via VR, have high resolution and quality of 8K. These kinds of videos inevitably require streaming technology which guarantees QoS. Therefore, we suggest MPEG DASH HTTP protocol which stably provides streaming services of high quality videos in 8K, which are 360 degree tile-encoded, on low-spec devices such as OTT and IPTV Settop and Tile Segment Cache management structure for servers operating streaming services.
