Bolus is used in radiation therapy to prescribe an even dose to the tumor when the skin surface is inclined or has irregularities. At this time, the dose to the skin surface increases. Due to the patient's unique body structure and irregular skin, voids may occur between the bolus and the skin, which may reduce the accuracy of treatment. Therefore, in this study, the existing bolus and the self-produced bolus through 3D printing were applied to the nasal area, and the difference between the surface dose after treatment plan and the dose directly measured with an Optically Stimulated luminescence(OSL) dosimeter was compared to the existing bolus. The bolus rate was 97%, PLA 100.33%, ePETELA 75A 100.53%, and ePETELA 85A 100.36%. It was confirmed that there was little error in the measurement values and treatment plan values for each material. In addition, compared to when applying a conventional bolus, a difference of -3% to +0.5% for a 3D printed bolus can be confirmed, so a customized bolus produced through 3D printing can complement the shortcomings of the existing bolus. It is believed that there will be.

This paper considers a new routing problem, successive max-min connection ratio problem (SMCRP), arised in circuit telecommunication networks such as SONET and WDM optical transport network. An optimization model for SMCRP is established based on link-flow formulation. It's first optimization process is an integral version of maximum concurrent flow problem. Integer condition does not give the same connection-ratio of each node-pair at an optimal solution any more. It is also an integral multi-commodity flow problem with fairness restriction. In order to guarantee fairness to every node-pair the minimum of connection ratios to demand is maximized. NP- hardness of SMCRP is proved and a heuristic algorithm with polynomial-time bound is developed for the problem. Augmenting path and rerouting flow are used for the algorithm. The heuristic algorithm is implemented and tested for networks of different sizes. The results are compared with those given by GAMS/OSL, a popular commercial solver for integer programming problem.n among ferrite-pearlite matrix, the increase in spheroidal ratio with increasing fatigue limitation, 90% had the highest, 14.3% increasing more then 70%, distribution range of fatigue.ife was small in same stress level. (2) $\sqrt{area}_{max}$ of graphite can be used to predict fatigue limit of Ductile Cast Iron. The Statistical distribution of extreme values of $\sqrt{area}_{max}$ may be used as a guideline for the control of inclusion size in the steelmaking.

Subi basin is located at the crestline of Taebaek mountains. This paper aims to elucidate the geomorphic development of Subi basin through the analysis of river terraces built in Wangpi-cheon and Banbyeon-cheon. Wangpi-cheon flows northeastward from Subi basin, and Banbyeon-cheon flows southward at the west of Subi basin. Absolute age of terrace is measured by means of OSL methodology, long profile of Wangpi-cheon is made up with 10m interval contour line, and the elevation above river bed of high terraces is measured at the end part of terrace. The results are as follow: Firstly, high river terraces of Subi basin, Wangpi-cheon and Banbyeon-cheon are formed about 40 kyr(MIS 3) being interstadial stage of last glacial period. Secondly, the elevation above river bed of high terraces of Wangpi-cheon and Banbyeon-cheon tends to increase toward upstream. It means that the uplift of Taebaek Mountains influences considerably the formation of their terraces. Thirdly, the elevation above river bed of high terraces at the reach from Seomchon to Suha-ri of Wangpi-cheon tends to decrease toward upstream. This section is captured from Banbyeon-cheon flowing in the opposite direction. River piracy has occurred from the time of formation of Suha-ri high terrace to the time of formation of Hantee wind gap. Finally, for fluvial system of Wangpi-cheon to establish dynamic equilibrium, topographic axis will move toward Banbyeon-cheon.

This study proposes a customized SNS operational strategy for special libraries based on a case study on the Ocean Science Library (OSL) of South Korea. The study conducted an in-depth analysis on an organizational structure, manpower, contents, and promotion. The outcome of SNS operational strategy deducted from this study can be categorized into several items, including: (1) a selection of an appropriate SNS channel, which meets the objective of the operation; (2) a formal division of works for SNS operation; (3) a designation of full-time managers and an establishment of a task force team; (4) a specialization of contents according to specific subjects; (5) on/off-line promotions focused on events, which encourage participations; (6) an improvement of contents through regular log analyses; and (7) a promotion of library website access through SNS, and so on. This research also suggested the strategies for the development of SNS operation: strengthening of communication and cooperation among librarians; distribution of academic and research outcomes of the umbrella organization; enhancement of a role as a communication channel between librarians and users, and carry out a role as a 'social curator.'
The present study made a phantom for gamma ray of 140 keV radiated from $^{99m}Tc$, examined shielding effect of lead by thickness of the shielding material, and measured surface dose and depth dose by body depth. The OSL Nano Dot dosimeter was inserted at 0, 3, 15, 40, 90, and 180 mm depths of the phantom, and when there was no shield, 0.2 mm lead shield, 0.5 mm lead shield, The depth dose was measured. Experimental results show that the total cumulative dose of dosimeters with depth is highest at 366.24 uSv without shield and lowest at 94.12 uSv with 0.5 mm lead shield. The shielding effect of 0.2 mm lead shielding was about 30.18% and the shielding effect of 0.5 mm lead shielding was 74.30%, when the total sum of the accumulated doses of radiation dosimeter was 100%. The phantom depth and depth dose measurements showed the highest values at 0 mm depth for all three experiments and the dose decreases as the depth increases. This study proved that the thicker a shielding material, the highest its shielding effect is against gamma ray of 140 keV. However, it was known that shielding material can't completely shield a body from gamma ray; it reached deep part of a human body. Aside from the International Commission on Radiation Units and Measurements (ICRU) recommending depth dose by 10 mm in thickness, a plan is necessary for employees working in department of nuclear medicine where they deal with gamma ray, which is highly penetrable, to measure depth dose by body depth, which can help them manage exposed dose properly.
One fresh equine cadaver (two forelimbs) and five non-lamed thoroughbreds (ten sound forelimbs) were examined ultrasonographically through 5.0 MHz linear array transducer with a stand-off pad in palmar pastern region. The normal transverse ultrasonographic images of the superficial digital flexor tendon (SDFT), deep digital flexor tendon (DDFT), straight sesamoidean ligament (SSL), oblique sesamoidean ligament (OSL), and medium scutum could be identified at the region. The mean $\pm$ SD (min.$\sim$max. $mm^2$) of SDFT cross-sectional areas at P1A, P1B, P1C in the region were $110.00{\pm}5.38$ ($100{\sim}128$), $100.00{\pm}5.02$ ($90{\sim}111$), $114.00{\pm}3.33$ ($104{\sim}124$), respectively. The mean $\pm$ SD (min.$\sim$max. $mm^2$) of DDFT cross-sectional areas at each phalanx (P1A, P1B, P1C, P2A, P2B) were $136.00{\pm}4.83$ ($125{\sim}147$), $94.00{\pm}5.43$ ($85{\sim}108$), $99.00{\pm}4.87$ ($90{\sim}111$), $115.00{\pm}3.67$ ($108{\sim}124$), $135.00{\pm}3.65$ ($125{\sim}145$), respectively. The mean ratio of SDFT of P1B to DDFT was 0.74, 1.06, 1.01, 0.87, 0.74 at P1A, P1B, P1C, P2A, P2B, respectively.

Sand deposit with shell units is exposed in Hasa-ri, Yeonggwang-gun, Jeonnam province. We investigated the characteristics of sand sediment topography in the Yeonggwang coastal area to collect evidence of the paleo-environmental change. We performed analysis on particle characteristics, chemical composition, and the age of deposition of sediments. The deposit comprise moderately well sorted medium and fine sand ($1.00{\sim}2.19{\varphi}$). Various sedimentary structures can be observed. Geochemical characteristics change by depth and the degree of variation with depth is small. The results obtained from OSL dating show that sand layers below shell units are deposited 0.32-0.43 ka. As the elevation of the shell unit far mean high water levels or highest high water level, the extensive shell layers could only have been deposited during storm surge conditions. Aeolian processes are discounted due to the size of clasts and the location at which they occur. Results of age dating of the surrounding deposits indicate shell deposits formed after around 300 years age. There is a distinct difference between sedimentary layers including dark brown-black layer. The sedimentary characters such as particle size and geochemistry show difference with depth. It is presumed that depositional environmental in Hasa-ri has changed several times before. This study is expected to contribute to finding an evidence about occurrence of storm surges.

In this paper, based on evidence of coastal sediment, we show that erosion and sedimentation environments are very sensitive to sea level changes during the Medieval Warm Period (MWP) and the Little Ice Age (LIA). We identified four sedimentary units(4.57-3.07m), which formed in the Dark Age Cool Period (DACP), MWP and LIA were classified based on the lithostratigraphy, grain size distribution, magnetic susceptibility and geochemistry of a drilling core taken from the west coast of Hwaseong City. The unconformity surfaces as boundaries of the units were also identified by the lithostratigraphy shown on the drilling core. We propoese that sedimentation was dominant in the area during the periods of sea level rise, whereas erosion prevailed during the periods of sea level fall. Particularly, extreme events, such as floods and typhoons are believed to have accelerated these processes, and we found the associated evidence in sediments of two units. This study provides an example of estimating the relative sea level variation using coastal sediments and may be useful for studying past sea level changes around the Korean Peninsula.

This study documents the level of paleo-shoreline and the timing of formation of the lowest marine terrace (1st terrace) distributed in Dadaepo, Busan, South Korea. In the study area, the elevation of paleo-shoreline of the 1st terrace is clearly identified as 5 meters above mean high tide based on the elevation of wave-cut platforms and the elevation of boundary between marine and terrestial sediments. This is well consistent with the fact that are found along the Southern coast of the Korean Peninsula including Daepo-dong, Sacheon-si. The timing of formation of the 1st terrace in Dadaepo is confirmed to have been deposited around 70,000~80,000 years BP (MIS 5a) according to OSL and IRSL dating ages. However, because the formation age of the 1st terrace in Sacheon-si Daepo-dong (Southerm coast) and Pohang-si Umok-ri (Eastern coast) previously identified as about 90,000~100,000 years BP (MIS 5c), further discussion of what is needed. Possibly, it can be interpreted that the sub-interglacial (MIS 5a and 5c) sea-level records during the last interglacial period are likely to be selective on land depending on regions.

Timing of terrace formation is a key information for understanding the evolution of fluvial systems. In particular, dating strath terrace (i.e. timing of terrace abandonment) is more difficult than depositional terrace that is conventionally constrained by radiocarbon, OSL and other dating methods targeting samples within terrace deposit. Surface exposure dating utilizing cosmogenic 10Be provides more reliability because it can be applied directly to the surface of a fluvial terrace. Thus, this method has been increasingly used for alluvial deposits. As well as other geomorphic surfaces over the last decades. Some inherent conditions, however, such as post-depositional 10Be concentration (i.e. inheritance), surface erosion rate, and density change challenge the application of cosmogenic 10Be to depositional terrace surface against simple bedrock surface. Here we present the first application of 10Be depth profile dating to a thin-gravel covered strath terrace in Korea. Monte Carlo simulation (MCS) helped us in better constraining the timing of abandonment of the strath terrace, since which its surface stochastically denuded with time, causing unexpected change of 10Be production with depth. The age of the strath terrace estimated by MCS was 109 ka, ~4% older than the one (104 ka) calculated by simple depth profile dating, which yielded the best-fit surface erosion rate of 2.1 mm/ka. Our study demonstrates that the application of 10Be depth profile dating of strath terrace using MCS is more robust and reliable because it considers post-depositional change of initial conditions such as erosion rate.
