The firms with OHSAS (Occupational Health and Safety Management System) registration should be audited every six months and they have to be reregistered every three years by a third party. In our article audit data were collected from the audit processes of fifty four firms that OHSAS 18001:2007 was implemented and audited by LRQA (Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance). Fifty four firms are largely classified as four categories: civil engineering and construction industry, metal and heavy industry, chemical industry, and other industries including electric, electronic, food, and services. Especially the minor conformity data are analyzed by statistical methods to find out the relationship between four categories of 54 firms and the average number of minor nonconformities. The most frequently appeared minor nonconformities among sub-requirements of OHSAS 18001:2007 are investigated and the reasons for minor nonconformities are specifically explained. The average number of minor nonconformities of firms before and after OHSAS 18001:2007 registration are compared to understand the maturity of OHSAS implementation. Some comments and suggestions are provided for OHSAS to be effectively implemented to the firms if revision is necessary.

Recently the assurance of railroad safety is very important issue in KOREA because there are lots of changes in the railroad industries. The Railway Safety Act was established in order to cope with these changes effectively and prevent the railroad transportation accidents. According to this law, Korea Transportation Safety Authority (KOTSA) has been entrusted with 'Integrated Railroad Safety Audit (IRSA)' and has implemented the safety audit to the railroad operation agencies such as Korea Railroad (KORAIL) and the railroad facility management organization such as the Korea Rail Network Authority (KR Network). The target of IRSA is to establish the effective rail safety management system and to raise the safety level of the railroad operation and facility agencies by checking synthetically their performance of safety duties with sincerity according to the Railway Safety Act. The purpose of this paper is to improve the efficiency of IRSA by the comparative research between IRSA and other similar safety audit system. To study the efficiency of IRSA, we investigated the rail safety audit systems of EU system specially France, England where the big changes have happened for the rail operation concepts and Japan where government entity control the railroad safety. The international standards of Occupational Health & Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS 18001), Quality Management System (ISO 9001) and Guidelines for Quality and/or Environmental Management Systems Auditing (ISO 19011) are investigated.

Background: Psychosocial risks are increasingly a type of risk analyzed in organizations beyond chemical, physical, and biological risks. To this type of risk, a greater attention has been given following the update of ISO 9001: 2015, more precisely the requirement 7.1.4 for the process operation environment. The update of this normative reference was intended to approximate OHSAS 18001: 2007 reference updated in 2018 with the publication of ISO 45001. Thus, the organizations are increasingly committed to achieving and demonstrating good occupational health and safety performance. Methods: The aim of this study was to characterize the psychosocial risks in a cryopreservation laboratory and to develop a predictive model for psychosocial risk management. The methodology followed to collect the information was the inquiry by questionnaire that was applied to a sample comprising 200 employees. Results: The results show that most of the respondents are aware of the psychosocial risks, identifying interpersonal relationships and emotional feelings as the main factors that lead to this type of risks. Furthermore, terms such as lack of resources, working hours, lab equipment, stress, and precariousness show strong correlation with psychosocial risks. The model presented in this study, based on artificial neural networks, exhibited good performance in the prediction of the psychosocial risks. Conclusion: This work presents the development of an intelligent system that allows identifying the weaknesses of the organization and contributing to the enhancement of the psychosocial risks management.
