Bone reaction to bovine hydroxyapatite grafted in the mandibular defects of beagle dogs. (성견의 하악 골 결손부에 이식한 생체 유래 골 이식재 (OCS-B)에 대한 치조골의 반응)

  • 1. 목 적 이 연구의 목적은 성견의 하악 골 결손부에 이식한 생체 유래 골 이식재에 대한 치조골의 반응을 알아보는 것이다. 2. 연구방법 및 재료 생후 1년 이상 된 성견 4마리의 하악 제2소구치 및 제 4 소구치를 발거하고 발치와에 금원심 폭경 8mm, 협설 폭경 5mm, 치조정에서의 깊이 6mm인 결손부를 형성하였다. 4주간의 자연 치유 후 판막을 형성하여 결손부의 크기를 확인하였다. 각각의 결손부 크기가 일정하도록 수정한 후 '이식재+차폐막'군에는 OCS-B을 이식하고 Bio-gide을 차단막으로 사용한 후 봉합하고 '이식재군'은 OCS-B 이식 후 차폐막 없이 봉합하였으며 '비이식'군은 아무런 처치없이 일차봉합하였다. 수술 4, 6주에 실험동물을 각각 희생시켜 실험부위를 적출하고 비탈회 연마 표본을 제작하여 골 치유 양성을 조직학적 및 조직계측학적으로 관찰하였다. 3. 연구결과 이식재 비이식군 및 이식군 모돼서 별다른 부작용없이 잘 치유되었다. 세 실험군 모두에서 술후 4주에 비교하여 술 후 6주에서의 결손부 산생골 형성량이 증가하였다. 술후 4주 소견에서 비이식군은 결손부 주변부위에서 골이 생성되어 나오는 양상을 보였으며 이식군은 이식재 주변으로 골침착 시작되는 것을 관찰할 수 있었다. 술후 6주 소견에서 비이식군은 결손부 경계부로부터의 지속적인 골 생성을 관찰할 수 있었으며 이식군은 이식재 주변으로 침착된 골의 양이 많아지고 신생골이 가교를 형성하는 것을 관찰할 수 있었다. 4. 결 론 차폐막 유무와 상관없이 OCS-B는 염증반응을 전혀 일으키지 않았으며 우수한 골 전도성을 보였다. 또한 결손부의 형태를 잘 유지하여 골재생을 위한 공간을 확보할 수 있었다. 이는 OCS-B가 골이식재로서의 필요조건을 갖추었음을 확인한 결과이며 보다 장기적인 관찰에서 OCS-B의 흡수 가능성을 확인하는 것이 필요할 것으로 보인다.

Development of Real-Time Scheduling System for OHT Mission Planning (OHT 작업 계획을 위한 실시간 스케줄링 시스템 개발)

  • For smart manufacturing, most semiconductor sites utilize automated material handling systems(AMHS). As one of the AMHSs, the OHT control system(OCS) manages overhead hoist transports(OHT) that move along rails installed on the ceiling. This paper proposes a real-time scheduling system to efficiently allocate and control the OHTs in semiconductor logistics processes. The proposed system, as an independent subsystem within the OCS, is interconnected with the main subsystem of the OCS, so that it can be easily modified without the effect of other systems. To develop the system, we first identify the functional requirements of the semiconductor logistics process and classify several types of control scenarios of the OHTs. Next, based on SEMI(Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International) standard, we design sequence diagrams and interface messages between the subsystems. The developed system is interoperated with the OCS main subsystem and the database in real time and performs two major roles: 1) OHT dispatching and 2) pathfinding. Six integrated tests were carried out to verify the functions of the developed system. The system was normally operated on six basic scenarios and two exception scenarios and we proved that it is suitable for the mission planning of the OHTs.

  • Apical to basal transport of organic cations (OCs) such as tributylmethylammonium (TBuMA), triethyimethylammonium (TEMA). 1-methyl-4-phenylpyridinium (MPP), and berberine across Caco-2 cell monolayers was measured to elucidate the intestinal absorption of OCs. Basal to apical transport of MPP and berberine was larger than apical to basal transport and showed temperature dependency and concentration dependency. indicating that MPP and berberine are secreted into the inteslinal lumen. The Influence of Job Stress, DiSC Behavioral Type and Organizational Social Capital on Job Satisfaction among Some Nurses (간호사의 직무스트레스와 DiSC 행동유형 및 조직사회자본이 직무만족에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the independent role of sub-dimensions of job stress, DiSC(R) type of personal behavior, and organizational social capital on job satisfaction and to identify the structural relation among them. Method: Study subjects were 317 registrated nurses employed in 4 general hospitals in a metropolitan city. Results: As the results of multiple regression analysis, the factors influenced independently on overall job satisfaction were as follows; job stress were significantly decreased job satisfaction. Regarding DiSC, job satisfaction of influence type was significantly higher than that of conscientiousness type. Of sub-dimension of OCS, the higher common value and reciprocity were, the high over all job satisfaction, but in a sub-dimension(trust), the relationship was reversed. Major findings of structural equation model analysis were as follows. Regarding DiSC, there were founded only direct effect on job satisfaction(D, i, S>C in relations with peer and others, job performance, retrospectively). Regarding common value of OCS, there were founded significant positive direct effect and indirect effect via job stress on all sub-dimensions of job satisfaction. Regarding trust of OCS, there were founded negative direct effect alone on 2 sub-dimensions of job satisfaction(work itself, job performance). Regarding trust of OCS, there were founded positive direct and indirect effect on satisfaction towards work itself, and indirect effect alone on 2 sub-dimensions(relations with peer and others, job performance). Conclusion: Summing up above finding, to manage job satisfaction of nurses, it is suggested for nursing staffs to provide behavioral training programs according to type of DiSC(R) and to introduce strategic programs fostering organizational social capital such as common vision and reciprocity.

A comparative analysis of basic characteristics of several deproteinized bovine bone substitutes (수종의 탈단백 우골 이식재의 특성 비교 분석)

  • Purpose: Deproteinized bovine bone substitutes are commonly used in dental regenerative surgery for treatment of alveolar defects. In this study, three different bovine bone minerals - OCS-B (NIBEC, Seoul, Korea), Bio-Oss (Geistlich - Pharma, Switzerland), Osteograft/N - 300 (OGN, Dentsply Friadent Ceramed. TN, USA) - were investigated to analyze the basic characteristics of commercially available bone substitutes. Methods: Their physicochemical properties were evaluated by scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer (EDS), surface area analysis, and Kjeldahl protein analysis. Cell proliferation and alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity of human osteosarcoma cells on different bovine bone minerals were evaluated. Results: Three kinds of bone substitutes displayed different surface properties. Ca/P ratio of OCS - B shown to be lower than other two bovine bone minerals in EDS analysis. Bio-Oss had wider surface area and lower amount of residual protein than OCS - B and OGN. In addition Bio - Oss was proved to have lower cell proliferation and ALP activity due to lots of residual micro particles, compared with OCS - B and OGN. Conclusions: Based on the results of this study, three bovine bone minerals that produced by similar methods appear to have different property and characteristics. It is suggested that detailed studies and quality management is needed in operations for dental use and its biological effects on new bone formation.

Effect of a New Hepatoprotective Agent, YH-439, on the Hepatobiliary Transport of Organic Cations (OCs): Selective Inhibition of Sinusoidal OCs Uptake without Influencing Glucose Uptake and Canalicular OCs Excretion

  • The effect of a new hepatoprotective agent, YH-439, on the hepatobiliary transport of a model organic cation (OC), TBuMA (tributylmethylammonium), was investigated. The area under the plasma concentration-time curve (AUC) from time zero to 4 h following iv administration of TBuMA (6.6 $\mu$mol/kg) was increased significantly when YH-439 in corn oil (300 mg/kg) was orally administered to rats 24 h prior to the experiment. Nevertheless, the cumulative biliary excretion of TBuMA remained unchanged. As a consequence, the apparent biliary clearance ($CL_b$) of TBuMA was decreased significantly as a result of YH-439 pretreatment, consistent with the fact that the in vivo excretion clearance of TBuMA across the canalicular membrane ($CL_{exc}$) was not changed by the pretreatment. The in vitro uptake of TBuMA into isolated hepatocytes was decreased by one half by the pretreatment, owing to a decrease in the apparent V$_{max}$ and $CL_{linear}$, but the $K_m$ for the process remained constant. Most interestingly, however, the sinusoidal uptake of glucose, a nutrient, into hepatocytes was not influenced by the pretreatment, suggesting the YH-439 pretreatment specifically impaired the sinusoidal uptake of OCs. Thus, the OC-specific inhibition of hepatic uptake, without influencing the uptake of glucose, a nutrient, appeared to be associated with the hepatoprotective activity of YH-439.
