PLT 박편의 구조 및 유전특성 (Structural and Dielectric Properties of PLT Thin Plates)

  • 초전형 적외선센서를 제조하기 위하여 La가 첨가된 $PbTiO_{3}$(PLT)박편을 소결온도, La첨가량 및 소결시의 분위기분말의 양과 같은 제조조건을 달리하면서 제조하여 이에 따른 시편의 구조적 특성을 X-선 회절기, 전자현미경 및 상대밀도의 측정을 통하여, 유전특성을 유전상수와 큐리온도 등의 측정을 통하여 조사하였다. La 첨가랑이 증가함에 따라 정방성비 c/a는 감소하였으며, 상대밀도 및 입자의 크기는 증가하였다. 이는 La 첨가량이 증가함에 따라 전하중성을 유지하기 위한 Pb공공의 증가에 기인하는 것으로 판단된다. 소결시 분위기분말의 증가는 La 첨가에 따른 효과에 비해 미미하지만 정방성비를 미세하게나마 증가시켜 PbO의 휘발을 감소시키는 것으로 나타났다. La 첨가량에 따른 정방성비의 감소로 상온에서의 유전상수는 증가하였으며 큐리온도는 감소하였다.

Optimization of aircraft fuel consumption and reduction of pollutant emissions: Environmental impact assessment

  • Environmental impact of aircraft emissions can be addressed in two ways. Air quality impact occurs during landings and takeoffs while in-flight impact during climbs and cruises influences climate change, ozone and UV-radiation. The aim of this paper is to investigate airports related local emissions and fuel consumption (FC). It gives flight path optimization model linked to a dispersion model as well as numerical methods. Operational factors are considered and the cost function integrates objectives taking into account FC and induced pollutant concentrations. We have compared pollutants emitted and their reduction during LTO cycles, optimized flight path and with analysis by Dopelheuer. Pollutants appearing from incomplete and complete combustion processes have been discussed. Because of calculation difficulties, no assessment has been made for the soot, $H_2O$ and $PM_{2.5}$. In addition, because of the low reliability of models quantifying pollutant emissions of the APU, an empirical evaluation has been done. This is based on Benson's fuel flow method. A new model, giving FC and predicting the in-flight emissions, has been developed. It fits with the Boeing FC model. We confirm that FC can be reduced by 3% for takeoffs and 27% for landings. This contributes to analyze the intelligent fuel gauge computing the in-flight fuel flow. Further research is needed to define the role of $NO_x$ which is emitted during the combustion process derived from the ambient air, not the fuel. Models are needed for analyzing the effects of fleet composition and engine combinations on emission factors and fuel flow assessment.

Enhanced mechanical properties and interface structure characterization of W-La2O3 alloy designed by an innovative combustion-based approach

  • Oxide dispersion strengthening (ODS) tungsten alloys are highly desirable in irradiation applications. However, how to improve the properties of ODS-tungsten alloys efficiently has been worth studying for a long time. Here we report a nanostructuring approach that achieves W-La2O3 alloy with a high level of flexural strength and Vickers hardness at room temperature, which have the maximum value of 581 MPa and 703 Hv, respectively. This method named solution combustion synthesis (SCS) can generate 30 nm coating structures W-La2O3 composite powders by using Keggin-type structural polyoxometalates as raw materials in a fast and low-cost process. The composite powder can be fabricated to W-La2O3 alloy with an optimal microstructure of submicrometric W grains coexisting with nanometric oxide particles in the grain interior, and a stability interface structure of grain boundaries (GBs) by forming transition zones. The method can be used to prepare new ODS alloys with excellent properties in the future.

Characteristic Distributions of Hydrogen Peroxide and Methyl Hydroperoxide and over the North Pacific Ocean

  • Hydrogen peroxide and methyl hydroperoxide were measured over the northwestern Pacific Ocean during NASA's PEM (Pacific Exploratory Mission) -West. The first experiment (PEM -West A) was conducted in the fall of 1991 and PEM-West B in the early spring of 1994. Hydroperoxide data were obtained on board the NASA DC -8 aircraft through the entire depth of the troposphere. Average concentrations of both H$_2$O$_2$and CH$_3$OOH were higher during PEM -West A than B. The seasonal difference in hydroperoxide distribution was determined by the degree of photochemical activities and the strength and location of jetstream, which led to extensive and rapid continental outflow during the PEM-West B. While for H$_2$O$_2$distribution, a longitudinal gradient was more apparent than a latitudinal gradient, it was opposite for the CH$_3$OOH distribution. The longitudinal gradient indicates the proximity to the anthropogenic sources from the Asian continent, but the latitudinal gradient reflects photochemical activity. During PEM -West B, the ratio of C$_2$H$_2$/CO, a tracer for continental emission was raised and high concentrations of H$_2$O$_2$were associated with high ratios. The flux of hydroperoxide toward the North Pacific was also enhanced in the early spring. The eastward fluxes of H$_2$O$_2$ were 9% and 17% of the average photochemical production over the Pacific Basin between 140°E and 130°W during PEM-West A and B, respectively. For CH$_3$OOH, these ratios were 8% and 13%. Considering the lifetime of hydroperoxide and the rapid transport of pollutants, the export of hydroperoxide with other oxidants would have a significant influence on oxidant cycles over the North Pacific during winter/spring.

온도 센서를 위한 스마트 페인트 제작 및 저항 특성 (Fabrication and Resistance Characteristics of Smart Paint for Temperature Sensor)

  • 위성 및 항공기 부속품 등은 온도 영향에 따라 미션의 가능성 및 안전에 큰 영향을 받게 된다. 또한 무인기를 위해 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있는 연료전지 분야에서도 효율성 및 안정성을 위해 온도는 필수적으로 확인되어야 한다. 본 논문은 큐리 온도 이상에서 저항이 급격히 변화하는 PTC 서미스터의 특성을 이용하기 위해 $BaTiO_3$와 세라믹 성분을 변화시킨 $SrTiO_3$를 이용하여 스마트 페인트를 제작하였으며, 박리를 방지하기 위하여 코팅제를 제작해 코팅 후 저항 변화를 확인하였다. 또한 코팅 전후 $BaTiO_3$$SrTiO_3$의 온도 변화에 따른 저항 변화를 측정하였다.

A1100 알루미늄 용접에서 실드가스의 종류에 따른 용입부의 변화 연구 (A Study on The Variation of Penetration According to The Shielding Gas in A1100 Aluminum Welding)

  • Recently welding of aluminum material is actively carried out to make lightweight in the fields of LNG vessels, aircraft, chemical plants, etc. To obtain high strength, hardness and elongation, elements such as manganese, zinc, silicon, etc should be added in aluminum alloy, which has been improved on the mechanical properties like precipitation hardening, age hardening, loosening, corrosion resistance acid resistance. Ar gas is used as a shielding gas of MIG welding for aluminum, also $N_2$, $O_2$, $CO_2$, $H_2$ etc can be added depending on the composition of the alloy. In this study, Ar + $O_2$, Ar, and He were used for welding, hardness, penetration status and changes in composition of penetrated parts were compared and analyzed. This made it possible to know the status and changes of the process in the penetrated parts depending on used gas throughout this study.

  • The paper is to study and analyze the civil aviation industry of China and to present some cooperative and developing models between Korea and China in the fields of civil aviation on the basis of mutul benefit. In this study, civil aviation includes both the air transport industry and aircraft manufacturing industry. As it is not easy and realistic for us to conduct field survey on the civil aviation of China so far, this study has havily depended upon the literature data gathered from the ICAO and other published materials. 점용접 조건에 의한 연강의 미세조직 및 기계적특성에 관한 연구 (The Study on Microstructures and Mechanical Properties of Mild Steel Joined with Various Spot Welding Conditions)

  • Spot welding, namely a kind of electric resisting welding has been used widely in field of automobile and aircraft industries because of easiness to apply. Specimens used in this study was a mild steel of 1.2mm thickness and the electrode was a Cu-Cr alloy of 6mm diameter. The surface sheared of specimens after testing of tensile shear was observed by SEM(scanning electron microscope) after ultrasonic cleaning for 10min., and microstructures and grain size of all specimens were measured with using of O.M.(Optical microscope). By the means of measurement and observations of tensile shear load, fatigue strength and share surface, the weldability of spot welding was evaluated. When tensile shearing testing, fracture starting point in all specimens was took place at the bond between HAZ(Heat affected zone) and nugget. With increasing in number of layers, fatigue strength was decreased. With increasing in electric current, grain size in the HAZ became more fine.

  • 본 연구에서는 고온/고압의 연소가스에 의해 야기되는 노즐목 삭마현상의 분자수준 메커니즘을 분자동역학 시뮬레이션을 이용하여 관찰한다. 노즐목은 두 개의 그래핀으로 구성된 그래파이트로 모델링하고 분자동역학 시뮬레이션은 충분한 속도를 가지고 그래파이트에 충돌하는 $H_2O$ 분자와 $CO_2$ 분자가 지속적으로 생성되는 과정과 평형상태의 시뮬레이션으로 구성된다. 반응을 모사할 수 있는 ReaxFF 포텐셜을 사용하며, 충돌에 의해 야기되는 $H_2O$$CO_2$ 분자의 해리와 화학적 삭마와의 관계에 중점을 두고 관찰하고자 하며, 거시적인 관찰결과들과 비교하고자 한다.

  • 항공기 등은 미사일의 추적을 피하기 위해 대응능력(countermeasure)으로 섬광탄(flare)을 운용한다. 일반적으로 적외선 섬광탄은 표적에 비해 높은 방사 에너지를 방출하여, 미사일이 표적 대신 섬광탄을 추적하도록 설계된다. 따라서 섬광탄이 존재하는 상황하에서 표적을 정확하게 추적하기 위해서는 섬광탄 및 배경 등으로부터 표적신호를 분리하여 표적을 인식해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 섬광탄의 영항을 배제하고 정확히 표적을 추적하기 위해 자외선 및 적외선 대역을 이용하는 2-color 로젯 주사 탐색기(rosette scan seeker)를 시뮬레이션 하였다. 각 대역에서 얻어진 표적 및 섬광탄, 구름 신호 특성을 분석하였으며, 이로부터 표적을 정확히 검출함을 확인하였다.
