In this paper, we deposited MgO buffer layer on p-type (100)Si substrate in the condition of substrate temperature 400$^{\circ}C$, working gas ratio Ar:O$_2$=80:20, RF Power 50W, working pressure 10mtorr, and the thickness of the film was about 300${\AA}$. Then we deposited Ba$\sub$0.5/Sr$\sub$0.5/TiO$_3$ thin film using RF Magnetron sputtering method on the MgO/Si substrate in various RF power of 25W, 50W, 75W. The film deposited in 50W showed the best crystalline from the XRD measurement. To know the electrical properties of the film, we manufactured Al/BSTMgO(300${\AA}$)/Si/Al structure capacitor. In the result of I-V measurement, The leakage current density of the capacitor was lower than 10$\^$-7/A/$\textrm{cm}^2$ at the range of ${\pm}$150kV/cm. From C-V characteristics of the capacitor, can calculate the dielectric constant and it was 305. Finally we deposited BST thin film on bare Si substrate and (100)MgO substrate in the same deposition condition. From the comparate of the properties of these samples, we found the properties of BST thin film which deposited on MgO/Si substrate were better than on bare Si substrate and similar to on MgO substrate.

ZnO (Zinc Oxide) thin film can be applied to various devices. Recently, ZnO film has been promoted in transparent TFTs (thin film transistors) because of high transparency and low temperature process. In this paper, ZnO thin films were grown on glass with the three conditions of RF sputtering power, which are 50W, 75W, 100W. Their structural, electrical and optical properties were investigated by using XRD, UV-Visible spectrometer and 4-point probes. In the ZnO film with 50W process, good crystallinity, high transmittance, and high sheet resistance were shown. In conclusion, the ZnO film with 50W can be an optimal channel layer of TFTs.
The effects of 0 to 6 mol% excess 91PbO-9WO3 addition on the microstructure and the dielectric pro-perties in 40Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-30PbTiO3-30Pb(Mg1/2W1/2)O3 ternary system were investigated. Excess 91PbO-9WO3 addition enhanced densification at relatively lower temperature due to the formation of liquid phase. The dielectric constant of the specimen with standard composition was 16,400 and that of specimen with 1 mol% excess additive was the maximum of 18,500. And more than 2 mol% excess addition decreased dielec-tric constant. Specimens with 2~4 mol% 91PbO-9WO3 addition showed dual peak maxima in the tem-perature dependence of dielectric constant. In the specimens which have more than 5 mol% excess addition a new phase with W-rich composition was formed at grain boundary.

Effect of additives such as NP series nonionic surfactant and cosurfactant on AgCl nanoparticles was investigated where nanoparticles were prepared using two different types of water-in-oil (W/O) microemulsions containing silver nitrate and sodium chloride, respectively. Phase behavior experiments showed that the region of one phase W/O microemulsion was found to be broadened with an increase in the ethylene oxide length of a nonionic surfactant mainly due to an increase in hydrophilic nature of a surfactant. Photomicrographs obtained by transmission electron microscopy indicated that an increase in ethylene oxide length of a nonionic surfactant results in both increases in particle size and size distribution. Phase behavior experiments for the systems containing AOT surfactant, isooctane and aqueous solution of an inorganic salt showed that addition of a cosurfactant caused a shrinkage in phase region of one phase W/O microemulsion, especially water contents contained in W/O microemulsion with an increase in the chain length or the concentration of a cosurfactant used. Photomicrographs obtained by transmission electron microscopy indicated that characteristics of AgCl nanoparticles produced were dependent both on the radius of spontaneous curvature and film rigidity of a microemulsion.
Using emulsion lubricant whose cooling effect and incombustibility are good and which is economical, I investigated lubricative mechanism and the behavior of scattered particles in the elastic fluid lubrication region with the line contact between rollers and plates and the light interference system. The results of the study are as follows: (1) The flow in the squeeze oil film is considered as comparatively wide clearance and narrow one, and in the former case the effect of the distribution of particles and the velocity on the flow. In the latter case, emulsion particles stay in the clearance an the oil film changes with the decrease of the oil film thickness. (2) In the wide clearance the velocity difference of the flow O/W or W/O emulsion is inverse proportional to the particle size. In the narrow clearance the distribution of the remained drops is different from one another and the scattered particles change more easily in O/W type than in W/O type. (3) At the beginning of the EHL the stagnation region with slow flowing velocity exists and the behavior at the region is different depending on the particle size. (4) By observing the dischromatic light interference line, emulsion oil passing through EHL region and the crack behavior at the beginning of EHL were found.
The bark of Alnus japonica has been used for the treatment of fever, hemorrhage and diarrehea in oriental traditional medicine. Recently, it was revealed that the diarylheptanoids from the bark of Alnus japonica possess anti-inflammatory activity and are expected to be applicable for atopic dermatitis. In this study, oregonin, one of major active components in the bark of Alnus japonica, was developed in the form of semisolid formulations for topical delivery. Oregonin was incorporated into four ointment bases: O/W cream, W/O cream, hydrophilic ointment and lipophilic ointment. Oregonin release from all formulation prepared was evaluated. Franz cell method and immersion method were employed to characterize the release patterns of drug from each formulation based on solvent availability. O/W cream showed a better release profile than the other formulations when evaluated with Franz cell method with an order of O/W cream, hydrophilic ointment, W/O cream and lipophilic ointment. In the immersion method, hydrophilic ointment showed the greatest release rate at times 1 hour exceeding compared to other bases with an order of hydrophilic ointment, O/W cream, W/O cream and lipophilic ointment. Hydrophilicity and solvent availability of formulation seems to significantly influence the release rate of oregonin from ointment bases. In this study, we successfully characterized the oregon in ointment and found that o/w cream is a promising formulation for the topical delivery of oregonin.
The purpose of this study was to investigate any differences in the efficiency of various antioxidants for the three types of substrates such as corn oil in water (O/W) emulsion, water in com oil (W/O) emulsion, and bulky corn oil. ${\alpha}$-Tocopherol (${\alpha}$-Toc) at 0.01 or 0.02%, ascorbic acid (AsA), ascorbyl palmitate (AP), and BHT at 0.02% were added separately to the prepared O/W emulsion, W/O emulsion, and bulk oil, and their antioxidative effects were compared. The mixture of ${\alpha}$-Toc ind AsA or AP at the level of 0.02% also was tested to observe any synergistic effect. Oxidation was made by storing at 42${\pm}$1$^{\circ}C$ for 25 days and the oxidative stability was determined by peroxide value and conjugated dienoic acid with time fluctuation of storage. The results were as follows: 1. In case of O/W emulsion, the order of antioxidative effect was AP> ${\alpha}$-Toc+AP>${\alpha}$-Toc+AsA>AsA>BHT. 2. In case of W/O emulsion, the order of antioxidative effect was AsA>AP>${\alpha}$-Toc+AsA>BHT. ${\alpha}$-Toc+AP mixture showed the prooxidant effect rather than synergistic effect. 3. In case of bulk oil, the order of antioxidative effect was AsA>AP>${\alpha}$-Toc+AsA>${\alpha}$-Toc+AP\ulcornerBHT. Therefore, AsA, a hydrophilic antioxidant, was more effective in W/O emulsion system than in O/W emulsion system, while the opposite trend was found in AP, a lipophilic antioxidant. AsA, a hydrophilic antioxidant, was more efficient in bulk oil of anhydrous substrate. ${\alpha}$-Toc showed prooxidant effects in all substrates.
Effects of continuous oil phase on silver halide nanoparticles were investigated where nanoparticles were prepared using two different types of water-in-oil(W/O) microemulsions containing silver and halide, respectively. Phase behavior experiments for ternary systems containing AOT surfactant, hydrocarbon oil and aqueous solution of an inorganic salt showed that the region of one phase W/O microemulsion was found to be broadened with an increase in the alkyl chain length of a hydrocarbon mainly due to an increase in hydrophilic nature of a surfactant. With the information of phase behavior experiments, silver halide nanoparticles were prepared using different AOT-based microemulsion systems and photomicrographs obtained by transmission electron microscopy indicated that about 10 nm size particles of relatively spherical shape were obtained. It has been found that an increase in alkyl chain length of a hydrocarbon results in a decrease in particle size because of higher intermicellar exchange rate among microemulsion drops. The average particle size was also found to increase with the inorganic salt composition of initial aqueous solution.

The removal of cadmium, copper and chromium ions was carried in a phase transfer reactor using W/O(water in oil) microemulsion containing sodium di[2-ethylhexyl] sulfosuccinate(AOT) and isooctane system. Removal efficiencies and mass transfer rate of $Cd^{2+}$, $Cu^{2+}$ and $Cr^{3+}$ were increasing with increasing pH of aqueous solution. However, $Cr^{6+}$ was not extracted by W/O microemulsion with AOT/isooctane system. It was found that removal of heavy metal ions were required an attractive electrostatic interaction between the metal ions and W/O microemulsion. The relationship between mass transfer rate. Jo of $Cd^{2+}$, $Cu^{2+}$ and $Cr^{3+}$ and pH of aqueous solution by W/O microemulsion suggested.
