This study attempted to present the direction that nursing should have for the future nursing development by looking at the process of trying to protect the subjectivity of nursing in various events during the Japanese colonial period. In the early days of modern nursing, from 1910 to 1919, nursing education institutions were expanded and nursing-related systems were created. From 1920 to 1937, as a development of modern nursing, not only expanded the field of nursing, but also revised nursing-related laws and organized two nursing associations. From 1939 to 1945, the stagnation period of modern nursing, amidst the social disaster of war, a training policy for mobilizing war personnel was unfolded, and another change was experienced. In order to expand the field of nursing and continue to develop it, continuous interest and research on the role and spread of nursing that change in various social events from the past to the present are needed.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of spiritual education for spiritual care competence reinforcement of nursing students. 83 subjects of nursing students were participated in two universities located in J city(from February 27 to May 19, 2017) and composed of 42 in the experimental group and 41 in the control group. The spiritual education was composed of three sections; self-awareness, spirituality, and spiritual dimension in nursing. This program was then implemented on the subjects for a total of 10 sessions with each session lasting 120 minutes and given 2 times a week for 5 weeks. The data collected were analyzed for descriptive statistics, χ2-test, Independent t-test and Repeated ANOVA. This spiritual education increased the spirituality, ego-identity, spiritual well-being, satisfaction with life, and spiritual care competence of the nursing students. The effectiveness of the spiritual education also maintained in five weeks after intervention. It is therefore proposed that this education be utilized for the nursing students as basic standardization process of a spiritual nursing care.

This cross-sectional descriptive study about convergence study was conducted to identify nursing students' level of knowledge, attitude, and confidence and their relationship with infant cardiopulmonary resuscitation. To measure nursing students' level of knowledge, attitude, and confidence in infant CPR, a structured questionnaire survey was used. The number of participants was 151 nursing students from 3 universities in Korea. To analyse the data, t-test, ANOVA and Peason's correlation coefficients were applied on SPSS 21.0. This research results showed a positive correlation between Nursing Students' Knowledge, Attitude, and Confidence to Infant Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. Therefore, it is suggested to develop a regular and repetitive education program for nursing students' infant CPR.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the convergence between ego-resilience, major satisfaction and clinical competency of nursing students. This study used data from 183 nursing college students who experienced clinical practice at a college located in G city of Korea. Clinical competency was positively correlated with ego-resilience (r = .446, p <.000), major satisfaction (r = .439, p <.000). The factors influencing clinical competency were ego - resilience and major satisfaction, and explanatory power was 29.1%. Based on the above results, it is necessary to improve the convergence education program and diversify the teaching and learning methods to improve the major satisfaction, ego - resilience and clinical competency of nursing students.

This study was attempted to understand the phenomenon in depth by exploring the special experiences of occupational health nurses who guided occupational health nursing practice education. Participants were eight occupational health nurses who had experience teaching occupational health nursing practice for more than a semester. Data collected as focus groups were analyzed by phenomenological methods. As a result of the analysis, the experience of student practice education of occupational health nurses was derived into four categories: 'Nursing student practice education started from their own experiences', 'Proceeding nursing student practice despite difficulties', 'Feel rewarding' and 'Presenting alternatives'. An understanding the experience of nursing student practice education by occupational health nurses can be used as a reference to improve or develop occupational health nursing practice curriculum, such as establishing practice regulations suitable for the characteristics of occupational health nursing practice subjects.

The purpose of this study was to develop and apply a to identify the effects of problem solving process and communication for nursing students. The subjects consisted of one group of 71 fourth year nursing students of D Colleage To test the application effect, a one group pre-post test design was applied. This study showed significantly higher problem solving process(t=-12.6, p<.001), and communication(t=-9.91, p<.001). Learning satisfaction was positively affected. Simulation program is one of the effective teaching and learning methods. It is recommended to develpo a scenario for simulation education applied various cases which are undergoing clinical testing, so as to apply it to the nursing training education.

The purpose of this research was to develop an augmented reality-based surgical nursing practice education application. The research proceeded in ADDIE order of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. In the analysis phase, we analyzed the surgical nursing learning needs of the expert group and nursing student group. As a result of the analysis, the demand for surgical instruments was generally high. We selected 51 surgical instruments of the 7 categories most frequently used in the operating room based on the needs, and produced them as AR Book. The augmented reality application was created based on the Unity 3D engine, and the application was built with Android OS so that the target person could use it. Expert assessment of application for augmented reality-based surgical nursing practice education application showed 73.4±4.3 out of 80. This study is significant in the part that first developed a new method of learning tools for surgical instruments. We determined that an augmented reality-based application has reality, portability, accessibility and simplicity.

Purpose: This study aimed to develop and evaluate the effects of an nursing process education program based flipped learning and design thinking for undergraduate nursing students. Methods: The study employed a single-group pre-post design. A total of 41 nursing students were recruited from sophomore nursing students. Learning self-efficacy, problem-solving ability, empathy, and learning satisfaction were analyzed. Results: There were statistically significant differences in learning self-efficacy (t=-2.11, p=.041), problem-solving ability (t=-2.11, p=.042), and learning satisfaction (t=-6.40, p<.001). In empathy, but among the sub-categories, perspective-taking increased significantly from 24.56 to 25.41 (t=-2.11, p=.041). Conclusion: It is suggested to develop educational programs for nursing students applying various teaching and learning methods.

The purpose of this study is to identify the differences in self-efficacy, clinical performance ability, and critical thinking disposition after applying education integrated educational virtual reality simulation to training and outside school clinical practice to nursing college students and to provide them as basic data for effective practical education. This study was conducted from June 8 to July 3, 2020, and enrolled in the 3rd year of university in G city, and 30 subjects who did not receive virtual reality simulation training or outside school clinical training at all. Data were analyzed by Paired t-test. As a result of the study, the result of pretest and posttest to each group showed statistically significant improvements in self-efficacy, clinical performance ability, and critical thinking disposition. As a results of the study, education integrating virtual reality simulation training and clinical practice for nursing students to improves clinical performance ability, improves critical thinking, and self-efficacy, so it is thought that various virtual reality simulation training must be suitable for clinical situations before practice is necessary.

Recently, the tendency in the education system orientes to developing people of interdisciplinary abilities, this study was conducted to explore career process and to aware the career through internship participation of nursing students and to investigate effect of convergence program. The study conducted in-depth interview with 14 undergraduate nursing students who participated convergence program at various medical organizations. Collection data was analyized based on grounded theory. The research finding shows that Internship Experience was four categories and 12 themes. Four categories are participation motivation internships, Career Exploration process through internship, various learning for career preparation and career awareness In order to operate effective convergence program, various learning opportunities and building relationships with the members in organizations are provided and organizational system support is needed.
